Hello, Trainlings! Checking back through the comms, it looks like the last time we had a "Handwave/Assume CR" Meme was back in January, so here we are almost in July, bringing the information forward!

New Players and New Characters, this means you, too! We want you in on this meme as it's forward facing for what your characters will do during train-bound downtime!

Handwaved & Assumed CR Meme

Our characters are blessed, or cursed, with confined living spaces, and have all their own schedules and rhythms to dictate their daily lives. So how do they all interact with each other? What do characters with pets or companion animals do? What do those pets or animal companions themselves do?

This meme is a chance to see how characters may recognise each other or their pets/companions in passing, where they may be sharing spaces at similar times, or have met other passengers, allowing the kickstarting of CR without having to play out every first meeting or smaller interaction on train. Who has the time for that? (Not me, I cry emphatically, not me.)

Xichen avoids sleep other than the absolutely minimum because nightmares. He does make his bed, neatly, when he leaves. If he fails to wake up on time, he might end up waking up screaming... not what he'd like. He meditates to rest, some of the time on the bed.

✨ Room use habits?

Xichen spends a bit of time in the cabin, but not very much. Usually it's to meditate, though sometimes it's to make talismans or paintings in his notebook. He might have found a length or two of decent paper in the Shining City, and there is one decoration from him in the cabin - a beautiful, ink brush painting of the Cloud Recesses. He might have given one similar to it to the longest-on-the-train Wangji.

✨ Bathing habits?

Spa car, hot pool/spring, basic soap. He doesn't mind the showers but it doesn't feel fully clean with only running water.

🚆 What are choo up to?

✨ Chore habits?

Xichen has been working on team chores since his first days on the train. Hee.... is not very great at them still. Possibly better at private areas cleaning than any of the others; cooking he's only doing chopping, slicing, and dicing for unless rice needs to be boiled. Laundry... might not always survive his strength... But he keeps trying.

✨ Eating habits?

Xichen absolutely forgets to eat. He's vegetarian, and with his golden core needs less food than most people. He probably eats in the dining carriage when he does.

✨ Exercise habits?

Yes, yes he does. Some parts of cultivation have an active element, and he definitely practices his swordplay in the gym. With a practice sword, because his own is not here... He does meditate a lot, too. Gotta try to get over that depression somehow...

✨ Entertainment habits?

... fun? ... he does read some, play music a lot, paint some. Garden and music car, usually.

... er... non-fiction books and also music.

Play spiritual-energy infused music in the garden. It is good for the plants and the bunnies, all right? Also a form of meditation.

✨ Notable physical traits/scents?

Lan Xichen is a 188-cm / 6'2 slender Chinese man with very long hair, half-bound in a topknot and with a white forehead ribbon threaded through it, usually in white flowing robes, thanks to Spider. While on the train, he possibly walks barefoot for the most part. He tends to smell... clean, possibly faintly of magnolias. Very faintly.

✨ Notable non-physical traits?

Xichen's energy is very pure and rather strong, but for those sensitive or observant, it's not difficult to spot that he is Not Okay. Guilt and grief are hell of a combo and he has no real wait out. Also he's almost forty but he looks in his early 20s, that's the fun of cultivation.

... he tries to make sure those of his world / worlds like his don't get into too much trouble but generally doesn't quite manage it. Also will help his brother (any version of him) in such efforts.

Jingyi definitely would want to be sparring with (and learning from) him, and hey, guqin practise time in the greenhouse sounds good to him, it's better than... elsewhere... probably? This train is so long and nowhere near long enough at the same time. Also imagining them both painting and Jingyi's trying to do a landscape before suddenly he's just drawing character portraits, as you do, right? S-sobs

✨ Sleeping habits?

He's generally a good sleeper unless he has a reason to want to stay up late, and when he does go to bed, he falls asleep fast. He sleeps on his back with his hands folded over his chest, which surely looks super natural to everyone. He's not much of a restless sleeper, but when he is, he'll kick his blanket(s) off and wake up with an arm sprawled over his head and one leg akimbo.

When on train, in his smaller fox-sized dragon form, if he sleeps he's curled up in a nice tight ball for the most part, with his head on his own back. If for some reason he's migrated to sleeping by a roommate (or friend) in dragon form, prior to being back in his own bunk due to train antics, he prefers to sleep above and cradling their head or half sprawled across their torso. Hug-a-noodle, it's great therapy! For them both.

✨ Room use habits?

He whines about the small room spaces to the train daily, but he makes the most of it for doing some early morning arm stretches. He has no particularly strong modesty needs himself, but will adapt to whatever's comfortable for his roommates, so: Ansem, Casper, Xie Lian, he'll just bluntly ask if they're bothered by nudity and then haul off to the end hall spaces to change (or shapeshift) if so. Otherwise he does not care!

He keeps his bunk fairly neat, but not perfect, and his clothes are stored properly when not being worn. If he shifted to dragon while in room he's left most his robes draped over the bed. If he had to go out of room to shift, he's... still left most his robes draped over the bed. Or bench, if he's on a lower bunk! He doesn't tend to wear train clothing prior to shifting, too awkward and difficult to get "modest" fast in.

✨ Bathing habits?

He enjoys bathing every day, thinks showers are fantastic, and also swims in the spa car in dragon form because it's really too shallow for human sprawling. He's scented with whatever the general shampoos/wash are, with an underlying high mountain sort of wind-scent, whatever that... means... how to describe, it's not so much pine as Very Clean Air.

As a dragon, in smol form as he needs to be on train, he would be willing for friends or new friends to brush out his mane (from his head down his spine to his tail tuft, or the tufts of fur at each limb), or oil his scales when he's dry. Mutual grooming is a thing for him back home, but with zero other people from his specific home here, he's a bit "... Whatever, roll with the punches" about it now.

🚆 What are choo up to?

✨ Chore habits?

Chores are normal for him and he'd help out with chores, though how much you'll want him to do so will vary from chore to chore. Have him help with stirring and chopping in the kitchens, or serving, he's not the patient cook so things requiring that are not great left to him. It's entirely possible he'll mess up the washing machines at some point (too much soap being the likely problem), but cleaning? Okay he's got that in a hot water and rags sense, also soaps, what are any other cleaning supplies???

✨ Eating habits?

He'd eat on the regular depending on how regular the team in charge of meals is, and while he is technically most often vegetarian, he particularly enjoys chicken and is willing to at least try every weird new thing while wrinkling his nose and going "ugh what is this even" with appropriate responses for if he finds it good or not after. He doesn't leave the dining carriage with food for the most part, but definitely eats snacks in other places, and if he ends up absconding with alcohol to drink somewhere is absolutely going to do that, full stop.

✨ Exercise habits?

He regularly stretches, runs, and does sword practise in the gym, then takes on dragon form (about the size of a fox, eastern styled dragon) to fly around the tops of the greenhouse and garden carriages. He isn't familiar with the other gym equipment but would be willing to learn for curiosity's sake, but might... accidentally... break something, so maybe better not? He's happy to spar with anyone or work on swordplay, and is game to learn different styles as long as a double-sided longsword is applicable.

✨ Entertainment habits?

Once he's figured out the library is less than robust (hey, he was going to check), and that there are moving picture stories in the movie carriage, he'll enjoy entertaining himself there. To entertain himself elsewhere he'll also play tag-like games with any of the companion animals who're game to do so with a smol dragon, be a more curious gardener than he has been in the past (there's that flower he took off his platform on accident, gotta tend to that, too), and be up for learning other games or means of entertainment shared by fellow train passengers.

✨ Media preferences?

His favourite movies and series to watch will be action/adventures, ghost busting (he will hate any possessions happening and is The One who will shriek at ghost jump scares, why is he doing this to himself), and romances. Romantic comedies and happy ending romances, or ones where the sad ending is about life Being Like That, but he'll cry. He'll cry. Books wise he's willing to give most things a try, except for instruction manuals on modern tech? What are those? Why are they? What?!

✨ Notable train-bound activities?

Zooming along in smol dragon form and using the transgates to pop around faster, while also being likely to cling to the top of doorframes and ceilings and talk to people below him/crane his neck around to look down at them.

✨ Notable physical traits/scents?

When not specifically trying to pass as fully human, in his human form he retains is horns (as seen in his icons) and a dragon tail, which consists of a thicker, white scaled tail that hangs down to the ground and then some and ends in a tuft of light blue fur, which likewise comes back up along the spine of his tail. Unless he's keeping it still, Jingyi's tail can be a decent mood indicator, and while it's not fully prehensile like a monkey's tail, it comes close! He can wrap his tail around his legs, someone else's limb, a torso, objects that are not particularly small, and so forth. The scales on the underside of his tail are broader than the ones on either side, similar to what might be expected on a snake.

Scent wise, only that he has an underlying scent of Very Pure Air that's more related to his elemental control (wind) than being a dragon.

✨ Notable non-physical traits?

To people sensitive to life-energies or spiritual energies, Jingyi does not feel fully human. He has 'Heavenly' aligned energies, due to the dragon soul his bloodline is part of, which doesn't make him a heavenly being at all—it just gives him an energy association opposite to what might be considered demonic. It's closer to light than good, and closer to good than life, and probably won't make a great deal of sense other than marking him as Other.

✨ Fun train-related character trivia tidbit(s)?

He spends time every day writing, rather than speaking, to the train. He feels like that makes his complaints more formal.

✨ Free space!

Jingyi is fairly outgoing and curious, so will pop in to ask what people are up to if it's new to him and in a mostly public space. It's easy enough to say he's at least spoken to people, and also fair to say he's loud, and as willing to engage as to complain as to offer to fight if it gets down to it, though less likely the fighting on a confined train with all his most respected seniors represented. He behaves! Sorta! Just don't threaten his friends, or family. Or the new friends he makes? Don't make threats, don't do stupid stuff! Thanks!

Nell is an early to bed, early to rise person and makes her bed very neatly as soon as she is up.

✨ Room use habits?

Nell will definitely be likely to want to keep the room clean and will clean up after everyone else if given half a chance. She grew up sharing a lot of communal space, but has been on her own for almost five years now, so this will be uncomfortable for her at least at first. She'll probably do a lot of observing to see what everyone else does around things like folding the bed up. Her space will be very plain.

✨ Bathing habits?

Nell will be bathing regularly and will probably use both the shower and the hot springs once she's discovered them. She does make her own herbal lotions, creams and such, so if she has or can grow what she needs she amy use those.

✨ Chore habits?

Nell will do all the chores and will help anyone out. She grew up in an off the grid church/cult where all of that was taken very seriously. Cleaning, cooking - she's great at this - whatever needs doing, she'll be on it.

Nell both eats and cooks regularly and would be most likely to eat in the dining carriage.

✨ Exercise habits?

Nell will garden every chance she gets and then create things with what she's grown.

✨ Entertainment habits?

Growing things and reading are her main pleasures, though it would be fun if people pulled her out to show her other things as well!

Books! Though she'll probably enjoy movies if someone introduces her to them.

Nell is about 5'2" and has waist length straight brown hair. She is described as being slight, but wiry, and muscular in a way that comes from hard physical labor. She is tiny, but fierce, sharp-faced and lean. If she smells of anything it will be simple soap. She keeps herself pretty covered up - no showing all that skin! She does speak with a pronounced southern church accent and uses a lot of church speak, though she's working on better grammar. You'll still get a lot of "you'uns" and such.

✨ Notable non-physical traits?

Nell is not entirely human and people sensitive to magic say that she feels magical though they can't put their finger on what it is exactly. When she's communing with the land sensitive people definitely notice it as magic, but again can't quite define it.

Nell is very private. She comes across as quiet and self-contained, but is also distrustful, stubborn, prickly, and not the best at socializing given the way she was brought up. However, she is also smart, sassy, kind, empathetic, eager to learn, and determined to make a life for herself. In many ways her early life has left her damaged, naive, and vulnerable, but it has also made her a strong fighter and someone able to think outside the box for solutions. She is definitely someone who would find a way to thrive anywhere, but will definitely seek out places where she can have alone time.

Wei Wuxian spends a decent amount of time in the greenhouse where everything's grown (in addition to checking on the lotuses in the garden carriage), so it's likely they'd at least see each other in passing! He's not as good a gardener, but he does try, and he might have mosied over to chat if she's got a non-standard sort of spiritual feeling, mostly for an idea on if she's got magic (that seems more common here) or is some kind of cultivator, and all the more basic hello how are yous of polite conversation, if she's so inclined!

✨ Sleeping habits?

Seto and Yugi now have their own room, so he gets very cozy in bed. They sleep with two large plushes (a Blue Eyes White Dragon and a Kuriboh), and it's always neat and tidy. All the better to know if a certain someone broke in.

✨ Room use habits?

Kaiba is out, about, and busy, but now that it's just the two of them he's more likely to escape here for some quiet time.

✨ Bathing habits?

He showers every day, preferably at off times like before lunch. He's also a frequent user of the spa car at night, though he struggles a bit with his scars being seen.

🚆 What are choo up to?

✨ Chore habits?

Kaiba always follows the rules. He's on the chore patrol every month, though he'll sometimes help if someone from one of the smaller teams is overwhelmed with their work load.

✨ Eating habits?

He's very utilitarian. He'll eat a basic meal with balanced nutrients in the dining car, though very rarely he'll try to cook something special for Yugi.

✨ Exercise habits?

Kaiba trains every now and then with fight club, trying to reach a higher level of competency for a baseline human. He also attempts bodyweight training to maintain his muscle, and can sometimes be seen benching various heavy objects. All those suitcases work.

✨ Entertainment habits?

Kaiba's main haunt is the gaming car. He loves to strategize at the Duel Monsters card game, and anyone is welcome to use the sample cards to learn the game. He also enjoys other board games, and programming VR games with his own personal equipment.

✨ Media preferences?

Kaiba is rather tall (6'1) and greenbean-shaped, and he only wears his orange uniform on platform days and missions. Most of the rest of the time, he's wearing the white and black outfit seen above, coat flaring everywhere. He has a few other simple outfits, mostly in blacks and blues.

He is a completely ordinary human in every way.

What are your character's sleep habits like? Ahaha, Conan has the worst sleeping habits. He functions day to day on coffee and spite. (and sometimes spite that other characters keep banning him from coffee). He'll make an attempt at sleeping most nights, but more often than not can be found in the library or kitchen. His bunk is usually made, but every last storage corner on his bunk is filled with mystery novels.

Conan keeps his bunk area fairly untidy. And apart from his huge collection of mystery novels, its rather impersonal. He can sometimes be found reading in the room, but prefers to spend his time in other parts of the train.

He always does team chores, but doesn't go out of his way to help particular people or to do more than required. Expect him to sulk a bit on months where chores require... being able to reach countertops.

Wei Wuxian spends time in and out of the gym car enough that he's probably seen some of this soccer and/or skateboarding and asked after it, both because Conan looks younger (he still would, even if Conan did look his true age) and because he's curious at these things he's not seen before. Other roommates might find Sandra picking up their laundry or loose items and either putting them back in their personal area or putting the clothes in a pile to be laundered later.

She bathes every couple of days or so. Not one for the sauna.

He will help with chores, especially if he catches other people doing them. He won't clean bathrooms though. He refuses. He'll do almost anything else, again especially if someone needs the help.

He can sort of cook. But he can frequently be seen just eating sandwich meat or whatever spare meat is on hand straight out of the fridge. He'll eat fruits and veggies too though. He doesn't actually eat a lot of sweet stuff unless it's offered to him but then he'll tear through it like anything else. Sticky/gooey stuff he kind of has trouble eating because of his sharp teeth.

He practices with his arrow in the gym and practices hand to hand on the dummies (I'm open to handwaving that he practices with other people sometimes too). He's been training Madoka in archery.

He listens to music in the music car. He reads. Sometimes he 'socializes' by going and hanging out in an area where there are people milling around but doesn't interact with them.

People on his world have nature sensitivities but he's never developed this at all. For people with cybernetic awareness, he's usually putting off some kind of connection between his fin and his arrow but it's definitely stronger when the fin is lit up.

Danny looks very normal when he's human, although there are ghost traits that bleed through a little. His temperature is a little colder than normal and when he gets angry his eyes glow green. As a ghost he has white hair, glowing green eyes, and he has a silvery glow around him even in daylight.

Jiang Cheng is a poor sleeper at best; he has a lot of nightmares and bad dreams, so when he sleeps it is brief and not for particularly long. When he isn't sleeping he will be meditating (or trying to) instead to earn some kind of measure of calm. He tends to wake up early and go to bed on the later side. His bed is always tightly made.

He is very clean and spends as little time in his cabin as possible. When he is in there he's quiet, calm and doesn't really stick his nose into anyone else's business; he's there to rest and have quiet (and escape from Wei Wuxian) rather than to actually enjoy having a room and people that he lives with.

Hot springs and showers, mostly takes a great deal of care with his hair where he can and does his best to not smell in any way, shape or form.

Jiang Cheng does his chores like a good boy, because that is what he was taught to do. He's not amazing at the more domestic ones (he was a Sect Leader and he did have some people to do those things) but he makes an attempt and has been adjusting. He regularly forgets to eat but generally ensures he has some kind of breakfast and some kind of dinner at the end of the day. He will eat in the dining carriage when he needs to and if he eats with anyone it'll be with people he knows, especially with family (someone has to strongarm a-Ling into eating things).

Jiang Cheng practices his swordplay regularly, moreso now that he has Sandu back, and he does forms and other techniques to keep in shape, ready and sharp, mostly done in the gym. Otherwise he does a lot of boxing to try and get out some of that anger/grief/pain/general "Jiang Cheng-ness".

"Fun" is relative...? He sits in the quiet carriage, he talks to people he knows, he walks around a lot. He's starting to take up reading.

He is a lurker, he lurks. Often in the quiet carriage, sitting and thinking, suffering, etc, or meditating. Sometimes he can be caught reading whatever he gets his hands on. Otherwise he's training, wandering around or talking to the people he knows/cares about, as limited as that list may be.

Jiang Cheng is six feet tall exactly with long black hair, now often tied up with a blue bow. When Spider is done with being delightful with him he will be wearing a set of purple robes with Lotus patterns. He seems incredibly intimidating when you first look at him, mostly because he always looks angry or about to start a fight. He smells clean due to his regular showering and generally seems to always be in the middle of a tantrum. Plus he's in his 30s and looks like a young 20-something!

For those sensitive to auras and such thing they can likely pick up on the fact that he has Cultivation and a golden core, so he's "magical" in that sense, and it's quite strong. His ring, Zidian, also gives off spiritual energy as it is a spiritual weapon. He always looks like he'll bite your head off if you talk to him; resting bitch face 100%.

Sleep? What is sleep? Ienzo only tends to go to bed when either he's forced to, or if he's gotten to the point where he's literally falling asleep sitting up. He does, however, keep his bed neatly made. While his person may be a bit of a mess, he's actually very clean. His bunk is the way he found it. He can't be bothered to personalize it at all.

✨ Room use habits?

Ienzo is basically never home- you'd have much better luck looking in the library. As such, he's not really there to make a mess. At worst he might leave a book or two around. When he is there, and not sleeping, he might compulsively clean things, which would include making sure his bed is neat and put away. As with the bunk, he hasn't bothered to decorate anything, because why? Any storage spaces will likely be filled with practicalities- books and teas, mostly.

Ienzo takes a quick shower basically whenever he notices that he needs one (or, perhaps, if someone mentions that he should). Sometimes it can be a few days. He uses the absolute most basic products, so as a baseline he's fairly neutral smelling. He pretty much never bothers with more than just the bare minimum hygiene stuff, like brushing his hair.

Ienzo will actually take any chores seriously. He's big on helping and doing his part! Bonus, he's used to keeping the lab at home immaculate, so he's quite familiar with cleaning.

Ooof, his eating habits are about as healthy as his sleep habits, which is to say NOT AT ALL. He regularly forgets to eat and it's not uncommon for people to drag him off to go eat something, or perhaps bring him food in the library depending on how stubborn he's being. If he does go to the dining carriage, he's there for the bare minimum of time before leaving again.

Ienzo loves to read! Anything, really. He will read any kind of book available, to be honest. It's why he spends so much time in the library. His illusion magic also means he has a creative streak, and eventually he should probably find an outlet for that, too. Suggestions welcome!

Ienzo is extremely introverted, so if he's moving around on the train, he'd like to go with as little attention as possible. He's very much the kind of person who doesn't start a conversation unless he has something specific to say.

Ienzo is quite short for an adult human male (about 5'3 is the estimate), so there's that. He also has messy, blue-grey hair and bright light blue eyes. Once he's settled in he'll have his lab coat and purple cravat as well.

Ienzo is human with all that that entails. He did, however, spend 10 years (half his life!) as a Nobody, a dark heartless creature incapable of emotion. Perhaps some psychic types could sense that? Or maybe not that exactly, but that there's something different about him.

It's mostly to keep up her physical strength more than for the joy or pleasure of eating, however, and she's not necessarily concerned about eating "well" beyond that. She exercises daily, with her Mabari, Two. Swordplay, forms, training exercises, etc, and also making sure she can still access her Paladin magic by casting low-level spells on herself. She is a giant, standing at 193cm/6'3" and comes across as a very intimidating woman, mostly due to the fact that she has huge muscle bulk to go alongside her height (she has 20 in strength in DnD terms). Anyone who manages to catch a climpse of her back will see a huge scar running across her entire body, from her topmost shoulderblade down to the opposite hip.

She is a half-elf, so despite looking more human than other of her kind she does have sharper eyes and slightly pointed ears. She also definitely has a magical aura due to her Paladin abilities; she can cast spells and commune with her God.

Freeza tends to take a top bunk, and owing to the large tail usually sleeps on his stomach. In the hours before "lights out" he's often just sitting there lotus style, appearing to meditate. Once he wakes he makes his bed neatly, double-checks his belongings, washes up, and dresses promptly.

He keeps his bunk rather spartan, general issue bed sheets and such, and he maintains his part of the room like he's in the army. The bed is stowed away when not in use, to allow more room during the day. In the morning or evening he might be seen reading from a book that disappears back into his knapsack when he is finished with it.

Freeza uses the shower daily, but he sticks to the standard issue everything. This may change in the future, but for now it suffices.

Freeza participates in team chores daily and wherever he is asked to pitch in. Most he is new to, so while he required instruction early on, within a week he has each one worked down to a science. He is meticulous, organized, and very good at multitasking (in fact because of his powers he is often doing several things at once without having to touch much of anything with his hands.

Freeza attends two meals a day and will indulge in the odd evening or afternoon drink. He eats in the dining car, not realizing there are other options.

Freeza using the training gym either in the early morning or late at night where he may, usually honing endurance, speed, reflexes. He often trains without ki, but someties it comes up. He appears to meditate in his cabnin, but this is actually more training. He will spar with anyone that offers, but this often involves him letting them come at him while he deflects and tests their strengths.

Freeza doesn't appear to understand "fun" very well. Beyond the aforementioned reading, alone, in his cabin, and the odd drink and conversation, he doesn't apepar to do much. You're likely to catch him wandering and observing other people, but not joining in. Even in VR, that's training for him, it's practice. Beyond the above or the casual hookup (nothing like that as yet has happened, mind), he tends to be all work and no play. He'd sooner do additional chores.

He tends to read, but he will watch film out of curiosity. (And criticize.) He noticeably does not like music and will make himself scarce in its presence, or at the very least look as though he is merely tolerating it.

He is also visibly alien, with bone white skin, a violet carapace, red eyes, a massive tail, and feet obviously not for wearing boots and more suited to grabbing onto things in a zero or low g environment. When out of the standard issue uniform, he keeps his clothing simple and elegant. He's well built and muscular for his size, and several natural traits of his give him a slightly gender-nonconforming appearance.

Ryo has a split sleep schedule: he'll go to bed at Sane People Hours, wake up in the middle of the night for an hour or two, and then sleep until morning, when he's an early riser. He can generally be found in the kitchen, dining car, or library during that middle of the night waking hour. He generally keeps his bed made and his bunk neat, and he's a quiet sleeper aside from the occasional nightmare.

Ryo generally doesn't spend a lot of time in his room; he prefers to be out among people, and if he needs privacy he goes for the quiet car. That said, he keeps his space neat, and it's generally undecorated, aside from a single dried lotus blossom hanging above his bed.

He's a poor sleeper and tends to not hit bed before he's forced to, or else hits bed for extended hours after draining himself, which most notably would be after both missions he's been on so far. He does have nightmares, but they're more the wakes up in a cold sweat or jolts up suddenly kind, and he's quick to laugh them off if anyone does notice.

He tries to keep things clean and not use the room much because spaces he does take over turn into sprawl! If he's working on talismans at the table his papers might get away from him and end up over the bench of his bed and the floor, or one or two might migrate into roommate spaces without intending.

Daily, hall shower! He prefers the spa but, for practicality reasons and based on when the shower is open, he takes advantage when he can.

He does chores, not necessarily well, but with enthusiasm! He will volunteer to cook, but unless people appreciate spicy food, he isn't the one best tasked to it should any spices be available in the kitchens. The rest he manages fine, though learning to clean the bathrooms was an adventure and he tends to throw water around them... as part of the cleaning process.

He snacks! Mostly gets caught up in regular meals when he happens to be around at meal times or his team's in charge of meals. He gets more distracted, so also may be the one you find in the kitchen at odd times making himself something simple to eat, or finding whatever's easy from leftovers not marked in the fridges or whatnot. He does clean up after himself at least!

He's inclined toward jogging in the gym and meditation elsewhere, and has recently, pointedly in hours where no cultivators are around, taken up sword form practise again. People who are not cultivators, he will gladly spar with you! If you're super amazing strong, he'll back out of it early on with a laughing, "Too much, too much," but he doesn't need it rubbed in his face that without a golden core, he doesn't have lasting power on a beyond-natural-human level for more than five minutes anymore.

He prefers reading, working on talismans, working on other inventions (this has been less relevant lately), and has learned to enjoy kind of mindless media in the cinema; he also prefers drinking socially as entertainment, or chatting, or these days even prodding at the lotuses (that I think Persephone grew?) in the garden carriage or supplemental feeding Zelda's baba deku. He also enjoys Lan WangJi's rabbits, so can be found in greenhouse petting them too! He'd enjoy learning more about VR games but really his mind tends to enjoy problem solving. Stories wise he tends to prefer action and adventure; mindless reading wise he likes romance and adventure, smut being a bonus fun point. He's learned he's not so fond of sexy things on screen, they're just distracting and too much so, pass!

See him carting himself and his notebook full of torn out papers to and from the quiet car (they're talismans, he's working on more that will work with what they run up against along with some of his older ones), or spending time soaking in the spa when at low occupancy, or even playing on his flute in the music carriage.

Nothing in particular, he's a 6' tall man with long, black hair he pulls up half off his face and in a hairknot that's tied off with a ribbon. This ribbon is red, but anything else he wears tends to be blue team standard, since he's still not gotten around to asking Spider for fashion assistance. Of note, over both missions, he's managed to lose or give away most his assigned wardrobe, so has been resupplied for those items at the platforms... if you ever need some guy to give you his clothing. That's this guy.

To those sensitive to spiritual energies, on touch you'd possibly notice that his central energy-gathering core is outright missing. Cleanly taken out, but surgically removed. He's also very steeped in death as a Necromancer dealing specifically in resentful energies/souls, and while he cleanses himself after practising, it's still something he does. (Also being responsible for the deaths of many, though given ??? who knows if that's hundreds or thousands, and as it turns out, most weren't directly his fault. SOME VERY MUCH WERE, and some of those were calculatedly cruel.)

If you want to help a guy test out silence talismans drawn directly on doors on train (to see if they work versus talismans stuck to doors), he's your guy. He's your guy testing this out only to pause and realises he needs to ask someone to be shouting on the other side.

Nozomi'll dip in and out of the room, especially now that she's trying to do something else besides fight all the time. Oh, Nozomi's takes a bath every day. She's the kind of girl who'd spend longer than normal, but that's probably because the water feels good.

Senku's would be terrible, except that Gen drags him to bed at a decent hour, unless he has some compelling reason he can't go sleep at the moment. He does make the bed in the morning, and their room is completely personalized at this point.

Senku's probably only in his room to sleep most of the time, unless he and Gen want to have a private conversation or something. The top shelf has books, clothes and various things for Orion to shed on, and the cubbies have things that were normally in the arms band but they now have room to spread out. Notably they have a lamp that allows for the stars to project on the walls and ceiling.

Senku definitely showers daily because it's a luxury he's admittedly indulging in. He was only using basic shampoo, but since Gen seems so intent on styling his hair for him, he's been using conditioner now as well. He hasn't really spent much time soaking in the spa, but he should.

Senku always does the team chores, among other things, and he constantly cleans up after himself. If there are dishes waiting to get to when he goes to wash his, he'll do them even if it's not his job. Part of it is boredom and less things to do than normal, and part of it is the fact he's incredibly neat overall. If he hadn't been neat and organized, his room would've been a disaster constantly growing up.

✨ Eating habits?

Senku will have one meal, once a day. He'll eat it wherever, but usually the dining car. He probably eats around dinner time. If he has a snack, it's in the morning, but this isn't a daily thing. Some people may want him to eat at other times, and he will just shift his one meal to that meal. As such, he eats a decent amount of food, with a higher caloric intake. He also eats incredibly fast, like someone who doesn't have time to eat normally. He can eat a meal in less than three minutes.

✨ Exercise habits?

Big pass on the exercise. His exercise is walking up and down the train and he always looks like this is incredibly difficult for him, it leaves him breathless. He's been working on meditation now because of the illusions, and he does practice his magic, but you won't catch him in the gym doing physical things if he can help it.

Senku does read for fun. He's often in the standard car or the dining car where he can have a table. This is usually primarily at night, and surprisingly, he doesn't spend much time in the library. Or, he's reading on his shift in medical when there's nothing going on at the moment.

Senku would watch documentaries if the train allowed them.

As they do not, Senku is stuck reading the books he orders, and the majority are textbooks and nonfiction, although if he's reading fition, it's science fiction.

Senku is constantly working on some project or another. He wakes up in the morning, makes himself a cup of tea and goes to settle somewhere to work. Depending on what it is, he's probably mostly in the standard car. Over the course of the day, he'll drink water or cook something for other people, and he'll have dinner with Gen and whoever else wants to sit with him at the time. He continues to work on his project until he has tea again, maybe an hour before bed and then he might get his reading done.

✨ Notable physical traits/scents?

Senku's hair is no longer standing upright because he's grown it out at Gen's request and hasn't cut it in six months. It's always in a ponytail of some kind and always tied off with rope. He has scars on his forehead that appear to cut through his eyes, with a bit of scarring beneath them. Now he's never seen without the necklace he wears dangling from his neck, nor the circlet brand on his wrist that is decorated with a flower, both signifiers of his marriage to Gen.

He only wears orange on platform days/missions.

Senku is most often found in his leather tunic he has now recovered from his world, but occasionally he'll be wearing a kilt and some other shirt, all things he ordered from the store. He wears a lot of neutral colours. His taste in clothing is extremely boring, and if he can get away without wearing pants, he will.

He doesn't smell like anything most of the time, although his clothes from his world when he's wearing them do smell of a mixture of being well worn leather, chemicals from the lab, grass and a salty note from living on the ocean.

Senku looks and often behaves in a manner of a 20 year old, ordinary young adult. It's his eyes really, that give him away. He's always had an intense look, but he's a lot older than that by thousands of years. Every so often the weight of the world will be on his shoulders and that becomes evident. He is psychically linked to Eva, thanks to an event forever ago. Those who are perceptive might note he has died before, but the roster won't show that, so it wasn't on the train.

Before missions - Senku can always be found in the kitchen, preparing food for the orange team. He's often in medical, taking shifts frequently as a doctor just in case something comes up. He can read there as well as anywhere else.

Senku prefers to work with his hands over sitting around and he never goes near the cinema or music cars. He has been seen making weapons, practicing magic, sewing clothes and blankets...but the cooking is probably something he does the most. He might help out when it's not their turn for the fact he can.

Senku has a pokemon named Orion, who is a very sweet, pink Espurr which is essentially a small kitten with two tails. People may feel a tiny mental touch from Orion only to ascertain their identity. Orion will be spending more time with Gen and Senku out of the carriage in the future. Senku prepares Orion food for every meal, this kitten is really spoiled.

Senku has been working hard on his magic studies above all else and he's probably going to be found doing more of that over many other things. The exception being his constant attempts at getting the heck out of here.

On most days, Lan Xichen goes to be at 9:00pm every evening and wakes up at 5:00am. There are days when nightmares may keep him up, but if that's the case he slips away quietly likely to meditate or to read. He makes his bed every day, then heads out to either the garden car to meditate or the gym.

Lan Xichen spends most of his time outside of the cabin. He keeps his area neat and does not touch the other's belongings, mindful that while he's used to minimalism and order that it's not something required of everyone on the train. He folds his bed away every day before leaving and has not decorated yet.

✨ Bathing habits?

He prefers the spa car and hot springs, but will at least take a shower daily. He uses basic soap but does spend extra time on his hair to make sure that it doesn't tangle daily. Eventually, he'll acquire something with a scent he enjoys like jasmine.

He does his chores daily but he's not particularly good at them. He'll tear your laundry, he'll burn anything he cooks. He's best off being given cleaning and tidying tasks or tasks in the kitchen that aren't going to put him anywhere near a stove. He can make a very good cup of tea though.

Xichen is a vegetarian. He cannot handle anything with spices but will eat anything put in front of him out of politeness. He does not generally drink alcohol, as he has no tolerance, but knows a trick for burning up alcohol before it affects him. Any drinking contest may be unfair as a result, not that he'd willingly volunteer.

His golden core means he requires less food than most and while he will remind others to eat, he does have a habit of forgetting his own meals when particularly stressed.

✨ Exercise habits?

Yes. He can be found at the gym daily, doing sword forms or figuring out the weights. He's great at handstands. He meditates daily.

✨ Entertainment habits?

For fun, Xichen spends his time reading or painting in the gardens. Sometimes he'll play his flute and can be found in the music car. Other times, he'll explore and try to make friends.

✨ Media preferences?

Books are the safest and he really enjoys reading poetry. For academic reasons, of course. That said, he's curious about the new technology as he sees others using it for entertainment. He just has no idea what it is and how to use it himself. Take pity on him please.

He spends time in the garden car and plays spiritually charged music, who's surprised? He's not a lurker persay but he's curious and one to explore the train, he might observe before approaching and trying to make friends.

Lan Xichen is 185cm/6'0 feet tall, slender. He wears half his hair in a top-knot and a white ribbon with a silver cloud design across his forehead; he does his best to ensure he's not seen with out it. Even in the case of his roommates. He doesn't like the clothing he has but while he doesn't have robes, does not like to show that he's uncomfortable in modern clothing (You might catch him looking displeased sometimes. If you can tell which version of his smile that is.)

Lan Xichen is a cultivator so to anyone who can sense spiritual energy, they can sense his Golden Core. His energy is bright, steady. He is said to be the strongest cultivator of his generation, so he has a big spiritual presence.

He spends time being mindful of the rules and is generally making sure that at least those from his world and his clan still follow them. As he learns more about the train, he'll likely pitch in for bringing in more useful cabins but he's not quite there yet. He still doesn't know how the train wholly works.

While generally seen as polite and kind, Lan Xichen is prone to his own brand of pettiness and exasperation. Just because he's smiling doesn't mean he's happy, he's one deep breath away from wondering what he did to deserve the chaos around him. (It's meddling. Technically speaking, Shi Qingxuan doesn't need to sleep, and if he finds something more important or interesting to occupy his time, he might not sleep at all (outside of when it's forced)! That said, while "making his bed" might be a little generous, he at least tidies his sheets at the start of the day so it looks presentable enough.

✨ Room use habits?

Shi Qingxuan doesn't yet have anything to decorate or make the cabin more homey. He's courteous and will clean up after himself and fold his bed away if he's not using it. If there's someone to keep him company, he'll spend time in the room, but otherwise he is pretty much more of an out-and-about type.

✨ Bathing habits?

Shi Qingxuan stays clean and enjoys a good soak in the hot springs beyond his standard grooming routine. If he had nicer hair and skincare products, he would absolutely use them as part of a regular regimen! As it is, you can find him brushing out and styling his hair in front of a mirror for quite a while at the beginning/end of the day.

Shi Qingxuan is happy to help anyone with their chores of they seem to be struggling or ask for assistance. That said, he's the sort of spoiled rich boy that hasn't had to clean or cook for centuries, and the quality of his work is only passable. But he will definitely try his best! Roll up his sleeve and say he can figure this out!!

Shi Qingxuan doesn't need to eat, and he'll mostly eat for the social experience of eating together and having someone to chat with. If the whim strikes him, he might cook something, but his cooking skills are only so-so.

✨ Exercise habits?

When it comes to exercise and meditation, Shi Qingxuan is more on the stretches and quiet meditation side of things. He doesn't make much of a show of either, and he'd like to be in a more peaceful place (like the garden car) to do it. While he doesn't seek out companions for this, he'd never turn down company!

✨ Entertainment habits?

Shi Qingxuan likes spending time with people, talking, drinking, and playing games! Beyond that, he also enjoys poetry and reading (fiction and nonfiction are both good). He doesn't stick in one place and likes sticking his nose into things.

Shi Qingxuan is most familiar with books, but while he does not yet know about movies, he loves plays and would be very enthusiastic about movies when he learns about them! He does not like things that are violent or distasteful, but he otherwise is pretty open to different genres. (As long as they're not executed in a way that's dry and boring!)

Above all, Shi Qingxuan is everywhere (not literally). He likes to see what's happening and he likes talking to people and exploring new places or seeing what might have changed. He's nosy and curious and, more so, being in an unfamiliar place with unfamiliar people is both exciting and concerning, and his itch to make sure everything is okay is unbeatable.

Shi Qingxuan is 186cm (6'1) with long, black hair and a figure that's described as "slender and graceful." He's has a youthful and pretty appearance and is very proud of his looks! If he had the means to dress nicely, he would, but as it is he just takes a charming and carefree air and wears his his default clothing. His hair is past his waist, and he keeps it styled back in a bun, ponytail, braids, etc. He likes to wear his hoodie over his shirt because it feels a bit more comfortable than just the shirt alone!

Most notably, Shi Qingxuan can take on a female form, and as a woman, Shi Qingxuan is a little shorter (176cm/5'10) with a figure that's slender but curvy. Overall, Shi Qingxuan's female form looks similar to male form, and Shi Qingxuan's style and body language are the same either way. The physical resemblance between the two forms is sibling-like!

Shi Qingxuan is a god of wind, and while he can mute his spiritual presence, he wouldn't think to do that on the train since he doesn't expect ordinary people to be able to sense that he's a god! He is more spiritually than physically powerful by far, and in terms of power level, his spiritual power is about what would be expected from a god. He also has a folding fan that he carries with him that people may also be able to sense carries spiritual power.

Beyond the usual going out and about and checking everything out, he also carries a folding fan with him that he likes to gesture with and fan himself with. It has the word for "wind" (風) written on the front. He always has it!

I know both mind would be interested in Shi Qingxuan in passing at least, and both are chatty—Wei Wuxian is likely a more easy conversationalist, but has a notable lack of golden core that I can't think is too far off from most... cultivators... in TGCF... I swear they collectively get scaled down each novel universe for MXTX (and I'm amused). He'd probably sense the strength of Shi Qingxuan's spiritual power, but as gods aren't really a thing, more just think of him as being probably an Immortal (is he wrong, though?) and keep that in mind as far as respectfulness goes! In passing he'd likely chat up with Shi Qingxuan and would be happy to introduce him to moving plays in pictures.

Jingyi on the other hand would also feel this and then would still fight gods if it was what he felt had to happen so he'd be more interested in if they both get into wind shenanigans. Jingyi's inherent spiritual element is wind, with a small water affiliation manifesting in his ability to generate or kind of control fog, but not clouds in a greater sense, so that could be a fun nugget to play with! Most likely he's been spotted in the spa carriage swimming around as a dragon or soaking as a human-with-dragon-bits, depending, though he finds the swimsuits silly and will say so. He's also likely to come across him when meditating, depending, so could be generally sharing a space and also meditating, but wouldn't interrupt!

Rui's sleeping habits are excessive. She can be found sleeping a lot. She hasn't done anything to personalize her bunk really, not yet. She did get a plush toy from Tidus' haul and it's now on her bed.

She doesn't ever make her bed and she can be found it in more days than she should be, with the lights out. She never comments on this, and if anyone asks, she might just shrug them off.

She definitely uses the shower and she takes excellent care of herself. Once she gets more care products, she'll be using more scents but for the moment she's stuck with the basics.

Rui hasn't really done chores. She might be able to be cajoled into them, however.

She regularly forgets meals and she also eats a lot of sweets, whatever sweets she can get her hands on, over a proper meal.

Rui can be found teleporting in and out of where she wants to go. She doesn't seem to want to spend the time walking up and down the train. She's self-conscious.

She only smells of soap at the moment, but she won't be seen without one of her long wigs, or her glasses of various colours. She will avoid train issue clothing and wear the fancy dress she pulled at random, and the items she picked up from Tidus' haul. She is much more comfortable now that she has these things at her disposal. Her next order of business is to get a manicure because her nails are starting to chip.

Characters perceptive to things may note that Rui has been tampered with. Her mind has been tampered with a little bit. Not her memories - but she was tormented at one point. She also has a power inside of her due to her awakening and her NOTE.

Rui is not very visible. She doesn't petition for anything, but people may note that she seems somewhat gloomy, and often like something might be bothering her.

✨ Sleeping habits?

Soldat splits their sleep into two pieces, which is weird, they know. Helps them to get enough sleep though, given their nightmare problems! They sleep during the enforced morning sleep, and catch three or four hours midday after they finish making lunch. They do in fact have nightmares on the regular. Their bed, the lower bunk on the right-hand side of the cabin, is always neatly made, decked out with a bearskin blanket and with their little haunted, floating ghost figurine drifting from one end to the other when it gets bored. The bed is never folded up so as to provide that space for it to roam.

✨ Room use habits?

Though not obsessively neat, Soldat does keep their things to their own space, mostly notebooks and bits of folded paper, and so long as their roommates' things aren't all over the place they don't care what they do with their spaces, either. They don't spend a lot of time in here when not sleeping, preferring to be out where actual people are.

✨ Bathing habits?

Soldat hates showers but hates being dirty more, so they shower pretty much every day, late at night before mandatory bedtime. They use unscented soap and shampoo, so mostly don't smell like much of anything post-shower. Usually they smell most like whatever they were cooking during the day.

Every month, if Purple team is not on cooking duty, Soldat will swap with someone on the team on cooking duty so they can work in there. They're religious about it, in the kitchen car all morning and a solid chunk of the afternoon, contributing to all three daily meals and also prepping meals to store in an Arms band for the monthly missions. They're a pretty good cook.

✨ Eating habits?

It's kind of annoying how much Soldat needs to eat, both because of their supersoldier serum and because of their "eating-things problem", an artifact of a death toll in their last game. They tend to snack during the day while they prepare meals for the dining car and missions, more than eat regular meals, though. They always have food on their person, and are often munching, or are chewing on a pendant on a light chain around their neck.

✨ Exercise habits?

Every day in the evening, Soldat is in the training car, either practicing forms and doing strength training exercises, beating up a dummy, sparring, or keeping themselves available to train others. They prefer working with people who don't really know how to fight, teaching the basics, but can teach advanced knifework and hand-to-hand techniques too.

✨ Entertainment habits?

Most of Soldat's time is spent in work of some kind, but they do often have music playing in the kitchen car, and always spend a couple hours late at night before mandatory bedtime listening to music in one of the other cars, folding origami, or writing in a journal. Very rarely they'll take some time in the afternoon to watch something in the theater car, but mostly it's just music.

Music! All kinds of music. Mostly they play it on their tablet, their item brought in from their last game, but occasionally they'll plunk inexpertly at the piano in the music car or peruse the music selections there. They're also an origami expert, using it as a kind of grounding technique more than a proper hobby.

Music in the kitchen car (they take requests if other people on duty that day have them!), training opportunities in the evening, and a patrol morning and evening from one end of the train to the other. Otherwise, they're pretty unobtrusive for a large man with a metal arm and a lantern.

✨ Notable physical traits/scents?

First and foremost, Soldat has a left arm made entirely out of metal which, while often covered by clothing, still is pretty visible since the hand is metal, too. It can be a little noisy sometimes, with gears whirring and plates shifting. They've got very striking eyes, which almost never make contact with anyone else's. They wear multiple layers of clothing, mostly train uniform clothing, but on missions have their signature Winter Soldier uniform for battle.

✨ Notable non-physical traits?

Soldat is technically dead. Anyone with life sense will feel all of their life force or essence located in the battered World War 2-era lantern they always keep close, usually on a thick woven strap off their shoulder or on a counter nearby if they're working. Anyone with empathic or telepathic senses might pick up that they are heavily disassociated into four distinct personas which often talk to each other inside his head. They're pretty open about this, especially after the mission with the illusion maze where they clearly and actively switched out to different headmates for a day and a half afterwards.

On platform days, Soldat always makes cookies to bring around to new (and old) passengers.

They have a little little plastic ghost figurine which is probably haunted but entirely harmless that they sometimes bring to the kitchen while they work, or on rounds around the train. If it rattles its little plastic chains at you, that usually means it wants petted.

Demyx now goes to bed when it gets late or he gets bored enough! He's a solid sleeper, and he'll sleep right until morning.

Aside from sleep, Demyx doesn't spend time in his room though. He has a sign that says 'Take a Rest' with the musical symbol for a rest on the wall beside his bed. He's also picked up a cool jellyfish lamp for his spot that sometimes he turns on and looks at.

He enjoys the hot springs very much, and he can be found soaking in there often and playing with the water.

Never. Never with the chores. Good luck with that.

Demyx typically does not eat, under some belief it's unnecessary. He seems to function fine without food but he can be coaxed into trying something for the fun of that.

If Demyx believes he's alone, he may go into the gym and work on his combat skills. Can't get caught out being productive now.

Demyx plays and composes music. He spends much of his time in the music room doing just that. He's presently learning the violin.

Demyx mostly lingers in the music car, playing and composing, although lately he's got these headphones and a violin instead. No one can hear that, thankfully, he'll plug it into an amp when he's not terrible. He sometimes soaks in the spa car.

Demyx is now collecting garishly coloured clothing. Anything to get out of wearing black.

His hair is meticulously spiked every day in his signature style. Apart from that, he often has his Organization coat on, albeit open to show off his threads if only to appease Vexen.

Something about Demyx feels off. It's subtle to most people, either a mannerism or something said that doesn't quite land right. A reaction that's not quite right or not quite fast enough. To those who can sense darkness and evil, it lingers on him, the degree has lessened as of late, but for awhile it had been increasing.

Demyx asked one thing of the train once, and it was granted. He's a believer, and somewhat fond of the train in his own way.
