Hello, Trainlings! Checking back through the comms, it looks like the last time we had a "Handwave/Assume CR" Meme was back in January, so here we are almost in July, bringing the information forward!

New Players and New Characters, this means you, too! We want you in on this meme as it's forward facing for what your characters will do during train-bound downtime!

Handwaved & Assumed CR Meme

Our characters are blessed, or cursed, with confined living spaces, and have all their own schedules and rhythms to dictate their daily lives. So how do they all interact with each other? What do characters with pets or companion animals do? What do those pets or animal companions themselves do?

This meme is a chance to see how characters may recognise each other or their pets/companions in passing, where they may be sharing spaces at similar times, or have met other passengers, allowing the kickstarting of CR without having to play out every first meeting or smaller interaction on train. Who has the time for that? (Not me, I cry emphatically, not me.)

He sleeps at normal hours. What are you chumps that stay awake forever? Come on... He's pretty lanky though so he kind of just tetrises into his bunk.
✨ Room use habits?
He doesn't, actually. Instead he keeps most of his stuff in his rucksack unless he needs to grab it and run. He's from the apocalypse and always expects to have to make a getaway.
✨ Bathing habits?
He does bathe and uses cologne and would use the spa if he didn't think people would come in at random. But his body is such a mess of scars he doesn't want to show many people unless proving a point because scars shaped like human mouths are a bit much.

✨ Chore habits?
Nope! Good luck with that.
✨ Eating habits?
He eats normally and regularly, but diet is enriched by either addition of train-provided brain to his cuisine or he makes cookies that have brain in them. Either way, anything Murphy has made especially for himself he now labels as 'for Murphy'.
✨ Exercise habits?
He plays cards and walks from place to place. That's it. If he gets his sword cane then he'll be practicing with that at some point.
✨ Entertainment habits?
Mostly he's in the library or the kitchens, maybe the rock garden or watching schlock in the cinema car.
✨ Media preferences?
Absolute trash that he can backtalk. If it's gaudy and terrible he wants to sit and watch it, please, please give him filth. He needs 'Orcapocalypse' the movie about Killer Whales invading land after a tsunami or a romance novel that makes you wonder if the author has ever even had sex because the words 'button', 'petals', and 'moist' are used as weapons against the senses.

He'll just try to hang out with people he kind of likes and might be like, 'I'm busy doing something else right now' for people he doesn't want to talk to right then.
✨ Notable physical traits/scents?
He smells like cologne but despite his better efforts he sometimes smells a little dead. He bathes, he grooms, he takes care of himself. But with heightened senses, you can tell he's dead. He might be able to cover it up for normal senses.
✨ Notable non-physical traits?
Enhanced Zombie vibes. He's undead, but will be trying to learn more about necromancy and cultivation because of that very thing. He's got the vaccine connection to zombies, but there is other undead he needs to reach out for too.

He keeps forgetting to ask the train for dryers. He wants to live in true luxury.

Hello dead guy, says the Necromancer, but more relevantly: if Murph ever wants a bath with a privacy screen of sorts, Wei Wuxian could probably rig up a "ignore this for now" array to send people walking right on by without seeing him. He'd have to ping to this as a need, but! That's something for a possible future. Likewise happy to chat cultivation and his personal brand of necromancy offhand, and nudge Murphy to the Fox!Wei Wuxian for another brand of necromancy altogether.

Also he'd enjoy the terrible movie watching or horrid romance novel read, and laughing the whole time because it's Fun and Silly so that's a nice mental break!

Please do! He definitely would want to discuss it, even if it's in Murphy's unique sassface way. He's also the type of guy that, when on good terms with him, he'll just throw you random ass compliments like, "Love the hair today" or whatever so that'd be skooshed in there.

He's a bitch but sometimes he's got his high points.

Absolutely MST3K some awful shit with him. He'd run to find him when he found a particularly horrible smut passage too.

Laughs! If he's so inclined, he'll end up getting random compliments back because Wei Wuxian would be amused and nonplussed about it. Sass? He also speaks in sass and sarcasm, depending, so he'd take it as fun verbal exchanges!

Great because once he's doing that, Wei Wuxian will do the same, congrats to these two non-teens cackling over ridiculous writing they're sharing with each other. Perfect.

Now I need to go order some more romance novels after I order his stupid sword cane just for this.

Meanwhile Wei Wuxian being like if you ever want actually nicely written stuff, may I recommend you speak with Lan Xichen (the older on board) or Jiang Cheng to borrow the books I ordered for them—

Sometimes everyone just deserves some nice smutty action novels too (soblaughs) or pure artistic poetry (soblaughsharder)

Somehow, I see these two meeting in the spa and talking/not talking about their various scar collections. Sonya's collected (ie survived) over a decades worth and some are still very noticeable.

He got most of his scars at once (save for a cut and a bullet wound) so mostly he looks like this, as the 'survivor' of a zombie mauling would.

(This is 4th season Murphy, 5th season Murphy is completely crimson-skinned.)
