Hello, Trainlings! Checking back through the comms, it looks like the last time we had a "Handwave/Assume CR" Meme was back in January, so here we are almost in July, bringing the information forward!

New Players and New Characters, this means you, too! We want you in on this meme as it's forward facing for what your characters will do during train-bound downtime!

Handwaved & Assumed CR Meme

Our characters are blessed, or cursed, with confined living spaces, and have all their own schedules and rhythms to dictate their daily lives. So how do they all interact with each other? What do characters with pets or companion animals do? What do those pets or animal companions themselves do?

This meme is a chance to see how characters may recognise each other or their pets/companions in passing, where they may be sharing spaces at similar times, or have met other passengers, allowing the kickstarting of CR without having to play out every first meeting or smaller interaction on train. Who has the time for that? (Not me, I cry emphatically, not me.)

✨ Sleeping habits?
What are your character's sleep habits like? Ahaha, Conan has the worst sleeping habits. He functions day to day on coffee and spite. (and sometimes spite that other characters keep banning him from coffee). He'll make an attempt at sleeping most nights, but more often than not can be found in the library or kitchen. His bunk is usually made, but every last storage corner on his bunk is filled with mystery novels.
✨ Room use habits?
Conan keeps his bunk area fairly untidy. And apart from his huge collection of mystery novels, its rather impersonal. He can sometimes be found reading in the room, but prefers to spend his time in other parts of the train.
✨ Bathing habits?
Hall shower once a day.

🚆 What are choo up to?

✨ Chore habits?
He always does team chores, but doesn't go out of his way to help particular people or to do more than required. Expect him to sulk a bit on months where chores require... being able to reach countertops.
✨ Eating habits?
Conan doesn't care much about what he is eating. He'll usually eat what is available, but it isn't unusual for him to get interested in a puzzle or book and completely forget about a meal or two.
✨ Exercise habits?
Conan can often be found practicing soccer or skateboarding tricks in the gym car.
✨ Entertainment habits?
He spends a lot of time in the library near the mystery section. Also the gym playing soccer. He can sometimes be found in the game car with a game of solitaire or a puzzle laid out. But honestly is really bad at finding non-mystery related hobbies.
✨ Media preferences?
...Books. Movies and television never get Holmes right.

Does being in a nearly permanent bad mood count? He is sobored.
✨ Notable physical traits/scents?
Three feet tall, wears a pair of oversized glasses at all times.
✨ Notable non-physical traits?
100% human. Gets grumpy at people who insist that magic must be real in his world. Walking murder magnet and has incredibly terrible luck when it comes to crime encounters. His body is ten years younger than his mind, but the poison that did this to him likely won't show up on any scans.

Highly disinterested in train politics. Spends most of his time grumping at people, reading or running into danger on missions.

Thanks to Jou, now carrying around a togepi, which he has named Watson. He may or may not be training it as a future detective assistant.

Wei Wuxian spends time in and out of the gym car enough that he's probably seen some of this soccer and/or skateboarding and asked after it, both because Conan looks younger (he still would, even if Conan did look his true age) and because he's curious at these things he's not seen before. However much Conan would be willing to tell him (or let him try), Wei Wuxian would definitely be up for it! Though likely somewhat annoying since his default is to both take kids seriously and also tease, though teasing is usually after knowing them for a while.

Conan would be happy to explain the rules of soccer or to show off some skateboarding tricks. He may even offer to teach him how to play. Bearing in mind that Conan's idea of basic soccer/skateboarding knowledge is ridiculously over the top and should not be trusted.

Soccer buds....

Also Haibara forcing Conan to eat meals seems likely. She did it for the Professor she'll do it for Kudo.

Conan is tempted to hide from meals already.
