The next part of the missions is here. Since characters are beginning to break out of their AUs and beginning to try and solve the problem they have found themselves in here is another plotting post! The other one was pretty crowded!

Details of the environment going forward:

For those who can read energy/see through illusions, they will find borders between the different sections of the city. They will be able to gauge it looks more like this.

They will see people 'trapped' in these border parts - specifically, those walking by foot to another section of the city, or those taking air taxis. They can be taken out, but would need to be done so by people who won't be pulled into the strength of the illusion/hypnotism.

While most areas are starting to fall apart, the political/educational sector (the centre of the city) is doing better. People may be taken around there in spare buildings.

Food: It will still be around, but some people will realise - who can see through illusions - that everything has a viscous quality. Shaped to be what it's mimicking, watery if it's a drink. This will become more obvious to everyone by Day 8. It's safe to consume.

Otoha is going to be going wherever people need him and see if he can't wrangle Red team a bit. And trying to not freak out about having An Official Family.

Ken is likely to be hiding for the most part - he can't do much without his Evoker other than stab things. He's also having Emotions.

Casper is going to focus on helping people with the attacks and maybe try to organize a few people to help with patrols.

Caleb is also frustrated at the lack of items on hand but will try to put his mind to solving things. He's a bit out of his depth here though, given the setting.

As for my fourth wall kiddos:

Nara'a is going to focus on fighting monsters and doing whatever sidequests things people need done.

Naoya is going to be focusing on the root of the problem, as he's a Smart Guy. He'll fight if needed, though.

Jingyi is here to help fight the random weird creatures on the attack, both in dragon form (for rescues) and in human form; if anyone wants dumb antics of a dragon flying in and then a hastily dressed human running around defending by use of sword and blunt instrument qin attack, here's Jingyi.

He'll be fully illusion clear and bothered by the situation at large, and ready to complain about it. Woohoo! He's also here to help break anyone out of the illusion who wants a guy who also is a dragon and sometimes is a guy with dragon horns and a tail trying to convince them it's more annoying being trapped in an illusion of barren world turned fruitful than waking up and solving this nonsense.

I have Takato waking up on Day 7, and he will likely want to help out with fighting the weird creatures. This is very familiar work to him.

Loki will be broken out soon, and after a little time to get his head straightened out, he has a daring plan: Do what everyone would expect of him and sell out the Void Treckers for a place of power in the illusion world. Except not really, he's volunteering to be a spy to find out anything he can about whoever's pulling the strings and any betrayals are planned in advance.

Whoever's taking the leadership positions in the Treckers/resistance he'll obviously want to seek out and run this by them before doing anything, and he can be talked out of it. And if anyone wants to join him as a double agent, please. He doesn't mind someone keeping an eye on him to keep him from losing his cool and attacking someone in charge rather than defecting for real.

jaisyn (former purple) will probably just have a closed thread or two since i still have to catch up with threads in the start log. she's finally going to break free and she won't be happy about it. at all. confusion and anger? confusion and anger. also she'll be trying to find a way off-planet and hacking at the creatures on the streets...

selene (former red) will be in the moondust cafe mingling because it's where the information's at. still in denial that this life isn't real — until the street where her family's antique shop is just disappears in day 7/8. whoops! will also just tag into some toplevels with her.

I'm tempted to have Della Duck Outed As A Voidtrekker! Which means she will be on the run, trying to avoid getting caught while finding her friends. She still has chunks of her memory missing, but she knows this place Isn't Right and is determined to help others.

That said, she'll risk being captured/etc when there's danger and she can help people fight off loose zoo animals and such. I'm also open to Della being forced to reluctantly fight former friends/trying to convince them she's not a bad guy!

Tidus will want to help people out of their false lives! He can try this with reasoning, and/or a mix of using dispel - however, he is bad at the spell (meaning he has a limit on how often he can use it, on what), and obviously he can't use it in public easily. It's not a subtle spell.

But maybe he can help others get out of their false state of minds? Even if we say it happened on Day 4!

He can also offer some resistance to illusions if people need any, which he's better at these days. But they're not something that will last throughout the day.

His powers in this word are invisibility - for as long as he can hold his breath - and being able to teleport to someone he knows (and if they allow it). So if this can be useful in any way, Tidus will mess with it!

Kitty will probably realize that nothing is quite right with this world, but at this point she might not entirely remember everything. She will probably realize that the Voidtreckers aren't bad necessarily, though, and may be sneaking around trying to help and figure out more of what is going on.

Lena on the other hand will probably be outed as a Voidtrecker and will be in hiding. She has invisibility, though, so she will be using it to hide in plain sight in order to help out/pass messages along to other Voidtreckers if needed. She won't quite remember everything yet, but she'll know at this point that these are mostly illusions.

If Yondu can find Lena he might tell her to tell other Blue Team to protect whoever they can.

He'll also want to know Kitty's doing alright. If you want help snapping her out of it he can do that.

Senku: He already had people suspicious of him, and when his image gets put up as a problem, he's likely going to be doing his best to skulk around and hide. That's alright, he's out of the illusion anyway. He'll be working on networking people together. He'll be leaning on his Jinnjar gifted power as needed (excellent luck).

Demyx: He's already pissed off, sick of this illusion nonsense and is looking for some kind of outlet in that direction. He's not a leader though, he could use some guidance. This isn't the kind of enemy he's used to.

Prompto: He's awake but very low-key, good at blending in for the time being, biding his time. He's someone that other people could pull into the fray easily and now that he knows, he's a pretty helpful guy.

Rui: She is not awake yet. No one's managed to break through and she's still just going about her life. She needs a rescue.

If Senku and Gen want to hide out, both Caleb and Essek are broken out (I’m pretty sure Mimi is, too). Caleb has a. Uh. Serious issue with false memories so he’s going to want to do what he can and would offer his place as safe.

Casper will absolutely drag Prompto into shit.

Nozomi will be easily hiding with her mucking around broken. She'll be trying her darnedest to find other Voidtrekkers and help them while trying to stay one step ahead of everyone.

Usagi is in a bit of a pickle - her encounter with Mimi has left a pair of handcuffs attached to one of her wrists and now everyone can spot her. So, she'll be hiding and dealing with the monsters roaming around.

Goku needs a good kick in the pants to realize what's going on.

existing passenger Seto is fully aware of himself. He's storing up as much electricity power as he can in his gloves, gritting his teeth through the headaches to do so, but he may need grounding from a friendly face.

If he is outed, he'll...IDK, dye his hair green or something. He's not good at recruiting allies, so he'll focus on trying to poke holes in the illusion and find the truth.

Mami is awake, though she doesn't want to be. She'll try to keep reaching out to people....she's a little better at it. And if she needs to hide, she has plenty of costumes on hand.

She's totally disgusted by the fake food and will avoid it, through hopefully stored-up granola bars.

Ken has broken out and will only use Wormmon power sparingly but he needs support ;;

Conan is free of the illusion and back to appearing to be seven. He abandoned his illusion life the moment he broke free (mostly because he figured there was no way to explain suddenly being ten years younger), and is now out in the city investigating, trying to locate allies and shamelessly using his child appearance to manipulate people into giving him answers. If anyone needs help blending in, he may be a good connection to make.

Danny is free of the illusion and and delighted to have met up with his clone cousin for the first time in forever. He's going to have a lot of issues to sort through post mission, but is shoving that off for the moment. If anyone needs a rescue or help with a quick escape, he'll be around. He also has lots of experience with being public enemy #1, and can give some advice on how to hide.

Takato is still in the illusion, but will be breaking out in this part of the plot, due to the power of friendship and being very familiar with being attacked by monsters. After that he'll probably need help figuring out how to hide and will want to help other people.

All of mine are awake, so!

Siebren is going to continue to play the part of the university professor and will do his best to bring people to (relative) safety in the center of the city. He's also going to keep his ear to the ground (because "people in education gossip a lot" is a universal constant) and will pass on information to fellow Voidtreckers and try to keep them in contact with one another. Nobody's going to suspect friendly absentminded science grandpa, now are they.

Ryo figures people here are either going to hate him for having death powers in his illusory life or hate him for being a Voidtrecker, so fuck it, he's at least going to help people. He'll be offering healing to whoever needs it, especially after animal attacks start; whether that gets him into a sticky situation or not remains to be seen.

Wash (unrecovered) is Big Mad that he got pulled into another dimension again - it's not like he was trying to prevent the end of existence in the last one or anything. He's going to be helping people as best he can, because that's what he does, but also keeping an eye out for these Voidtreckers and trying to gauge whether they can be trusted.

The points between each area has immense power and is a transfer/illusion based system based on questions asked here.

Senku and Gen are not enough to poke holes in this magic hub on their own, with their magic.

It'd be good to get a headcount/power coming to the table so it can be given to the mods so they can decide if there is an effect at all, or what the repercussions may be. There may be repercussions.

Senku and Gen are going to try a dispell magic spell on the fly, and it's not terribly strong on a first attempt.

Voidtrecker Elidibus: Elidibus will be continuing his machinations from day one. By Day 4, his face and Jinnjar-based backstory (Elidibus Pitchiner) are posted on the news as Wanted For Questioning Involving Voidtrecker Activity. Those that share his face (AU Elidibus/Elliot Stiller and Ardbert firstbump) may come under scrutiny. Sorry Ardbert. :(

Elidibus has temporary tucked himself into the body of one 'Olivia Curtis' and has been moving under this precept. Senku, Gen, Masumi, Roland Crane and Tidus will be aware of this change, feel free to handwave it. If anyone else wishes to handwave knowing Elidibus can jump into peoples' bodies for future CR/etc, let's work that out.

For those who have encountered Elidibus or might have been given a boost of information that woke them out of the illusion and got back in touch with him, Elidibus will serve as a connection to the abovementioned people (and anyone else that gets networked through him). He can also provide information from his investigations into the illusion's structure and 'attack points'. Please let me know if you have exchanged information with him! Because obviously he would be asking questions back. He will also look for people who are good at magic/analysis/think tanking to help try and analyse the spells and illusions involved.

A few salient points would come up: All the people are real and not illusionary. Congress has dangerously strong mental influence! Using 'superpowers' too much can cause you to fall back into the sway of the illusion. (Anyone's normal abilities are just fine. Probably.) If you ask about the food, he would say not to worry overmuch about it. You won't starve if you eat it and that's the important part. (Sorry guys, it's all nutri-paste after all.)

He is going to be very keen to talk to Anan when he learns about her so will be attending a table at Moondust Cafe with one group or another (again likely with those mentioned above!)

When nightmare beasts and the world starts to crumble he will be switching from a near-purely machination/investigative stance to stepping in and aiding in fight and protection. It will be a significant change that some people might notice. Getting involved in scenes with either VT or 4th Wall Elidibus will possibly involve unavoidable spoilers from the Shadowbringers expac of FFXIV so you have been pre-warned! (Will be doing my best to keep a lid on them when jumping into other peoples' TLs though!)


AU Elidibus/Elliot Stiller: 'Elliot" is hard in the grip of the illusion. People might mistake him for VT Elidibus given their identical appearance. With the belief that the world is becoming more agressively under attack from the Voidtreckers, being recognized as one will be definitely dangerous around him. First and foremost he will be aiming to protect his family ('Albert/Ardbert' and 'Kelly/Q'uila') but he will also be doing his best to aid and protect the city at large and its populace.

Once the city starts crumbling and twisted creatures emerge, AU Elidibus will be snapped out of the illusion. Once again, pre-warning that there may be unavoidable Shadowbringers-related spoilers. (Will be doing my best to keep a lid on them when jumping into other peoples' TLs!)

Allen had been free of the illusion since Day 3 or 4 and will probably be one of the ones outed because he just...cannot pretend to be like Kanda. It's hard. But he is very good at not being found easily thanks to Cross. So he will be trying to help out when he can and maybe help people not to be found if they want to explore because he has the know-how.

Kairi will be free of the illusion at this point and honestly will be doing her best to help out while trying to be sneaky about it. Considering she goes to a High School she might keep that up to see if she can gather anything.

Yugi and Rapunzel are still in various stages of the illusion at the moment. Yugi is still in but he can tell something is off. He just doesn't know what and Rapunzel is pretty much a bit further behind Yugi, but slowly getting there. Once they are out they will try and help out with Yugi maybe using his AU abilities at least twice.

Yondu is going to be trying to get people to the city center and keeping them safe from illusions. He's going to be focusing on that, and reconnecting with whoever he can from Blue Team (including WangJi, who Wuxian told him is around).

If your character is in handcuffs by the time shit is going bad? This man is here for you. (And I presume anyone he taught to do the thing). Also I'm still very much wanting some combat team-ups. Gimme gimme. He needs to feel that team vibe again.

Murphy has broken out of it and will be doing the very Murphy thing of defending his own. Especially after shit starts really going downhill. He'll want to find his 'family', too, because what is forced empathy. He's the only one I'm top-levelling this time.

Masumi’s out of the illusion, but thanks to the events of this thread, she’ll probably be known to DFORCE at this point. As such, she’ll be staying low, doing investigations, and trying to connect with others who might be out by now.

That said, once things start getting rough she’ll come out to help protect others as needed, since hiding won’t help anyone at that point.

Soldat is mooooostly back to themselves by this point. They're very upset and stressed out, though, and might possibly have a new headmate. I'm aiming to have a top-level for recognizing people hopefully tonight?

They're gonna be doing a mission thing with Yondu's little group, but otherwise are trying to handle having people from their worlds (both of them! aaaaah!) without falling to pieces. They may or may not be successful at this.

Leia has been free of the illusion since she woke up (literally as well as figuratively) on Day four. She's been trying to locate and free other people she knows as well as subtly gather information. Now that the illusory shit is hitting the fan, though, she'll be stepping into a more active role. She may end up joining Loki's infiltration mission (with some Bent up fake IDs as needed) and as things start to get more dangerous, will be helping protect and/or evacuate people as they need to move to more stable areas.

Lea broke out of the illusion at some point on Day Four and has since been trying to find more people he knows and maybe figure out WTF is going on. As things start to get worse, he'll be trying to protect people, and he may end up outted as a Voidtrecker at some point if he gets careless. He's also trying to figure out where the train is because.... that's kind of an important detail.

Madame Razz has been gradually meandering her way out of the illusion and will be fully out of it by late Day 5. She'll be doing her best to help with... mixed results. She's a bit mentally scattered at the best of times, but she's got a bit of magic up her sleeve and a lot of determination. Plus she's very spry for a lady who's well over a 1000 years old. But she's likely to get into trouble at some point too, and will probably need rescuing at some point.

4th Wallers: Agent 3 and Little Ghost will be broken free of the illusions by now and are ready to cause some trouble.

Thanatos... should be free at this point given how he has the pendant and able to turn away from things he wants, though I am not sure how he actually breaks free. He'll be trying to help, but those who are familiar with Thanatos will probably notice he's meeker than usual.

I definitely want to do something with Agent 3 -- but whether or not it is as Agent 8 or as Mimi trying to save Nory is going to depend on how the conversation with her parents go.

NOTE: FROM DAY 7 (M10) ONWARDS

During 23:00 of Day Six (M09), a group attempted to destroy a border of the city that acts an area of transport. It makes the city appear larger than it is, as the area inside it isn't one that people can interact with, but are made to believe they can. Everyone has to move through these to get to one point of the city to another.

This attempt to damage/dispel the border caught the Entity's attention, who had already been alerted to people awakening out of its tricks before this. Angered, the people within the trapped border were killed as a result of being antagonised, and the group taken.

The results of this to the event going forward from Day 7, are:

- People in the city will be randomly re-brainwashed, or will no longer have doubts about this being their city. They will believe everything bad happening is because of the Voidtreckers, and they are causing this. This can include your characters or not. However, there will be an overall larger hostility towards the Voidtreckers than before.

- Those working as part of the D-Force have especially undergone this. Now they want nothing more than to take down the Voidtreckers, any means necessary. They will not negotiate with Voidtreckers, and are willing to harm anyone to apprehend them. They also have people volunteering as part of them to help take down the Voidtreckers.

- Core lights are appearing around the city by mid-day 7. For those unaware of these, they are light small yellow lights that were used to cause illusions in the previous mission. They will start following people around. Those who have made a scene previous will especially be tracked and watched. They will need to be destroyed, as if they are around during any suspicious activity, they will alert authorities to them - and more.

- As the D-Force and certain individuals in the city become more erratic about taking out the Voidtreckers, a portion of the city's 'civilians' will become less okay with the core lights and what's going on, especially with innocent people also being stalked. These people may be willing to help with Voidtreckers and/or hide them.

- The city will noticeably be breaking down quicker, sooner. There are no attempts to patch this up by the entity as it becomes more crazed about taking out the Voidtreckers.

I assume that destroying small parts of the illusion will get the core lights' attention in droves. What about destroying the ones that gather? Will that bring more out? Or will they stop coming and then you can take out the whole bunch without raising more alarms?
