Mission: So Familiar a Gleam Ongoing

The next part of the missions is here. Since characters are beginning to break out of their AUs and beginning to try and solve the problem they have found themselves in here is another plotting post! The other one was pretty crowded!

Details of the environment going forward:

For those who can read energy/see through illusions, they will find borders between the different sections of the city. They will be able to gauge it looks more like this.

They will see people 'trapped' in these border parts - specifically, those walking by foot to another section of the city, or those taking air taxis. They can be taken out, but would need to be done so by people who won't be pulled into the strength of the illusion/hypnotism.

While most areas are starting to fall apart, the political/educational sector (the centre of the city) is doing better. People may be taken around there in spare buildings.

Food: It will still be around, but some people will realise - who can see through illusions - that everything has a viscous quality. Shaped to be what it's mimicking, watery if it's a drink. This will become more obvious to everyone by Day 8. It's safe to consume.

4th Wallers: Agent 3 and Little Ghost will be broken free of the illusions by now and are ready to cause some trouble.

Thanatos... should be free at this point given how he has the pendant and able to turn away from things he wants, though I am not sure how he actually breaks free. He'll be trying to help, but those who are familiar with Thanatos will probably notice he's meeker than usual.

I definitely want to do something with Agent 3 -- but whether or not it is as Agent 8 or as Mimi trying to save Nory is going to depend on how the conversation with her parents go.

I am most certainly up for more. Agent 3 would be so surprised but happy to know there's an Agent 8 now, and she's an Octoling at that! Yeah, she participated in Team Past for the time travel Splatfest, but the future is cool too.

So guess who's still in the illusion despite his amulet and training? Should Than help Zag pop out of it, or should Zag help pop Than out of it?

Oh, I am torn because I could see this two ways. Than helping Zag could give him something concrete to help with, though I also see Than being scared of doing something wrong and make things worse. Give Zag more ammo for proving Than being helpful.

But Zag helping Than could also give Than another instance of someone trying to actively find and help him, rather than just leaving him be or stumbling upon him... which Than has already told Zag before that he doesn't expect to be found when in trouble, proving that wrong too.

Or, trying to meet each other halfway somehow so they break each other out.

Whatever's more interesting for you! I know Than feels pretty unsteady right now about his relationship with Zag, and so I think it should be something to steady him personally, but that's mostly because I want good things for the good death boy, please be good to the death boy
