Mission: So Familiar a Gleam Ongoing

The next part of the missions is here. Since characters are beginning to break out of their AUs and beginning to try and solve the problem they have found themselves in here is another plotting post! The other one was pretty crowded!

Please continue to ask any questions here and if there are any shenanigans you want to run past mods in terms of investigating let us know here

Happy plotting!

Details of the environment going forward:

  • For those who can read energy/see through illusions, they will find borders between the different sections of the city. They will be able to gauge it looks more like this.

  • They will see people 'trapped' in these border parts - specifically, those walking by foot to another section of the city, or those taking air taxis. They can be taken out, but would need to be done so by people who won't be pulled into the strength of the illusion/hypnotism.

  • While most areas are starting to fall apart, the political/educational sector (the centre of the city) is doing better. People may be taken around there in spare buildings.

  • Food: It will still be around, but some people will realise - who can see through illusions - that everything has a viscous quality. Shaped to be what it's mimicking, watery if it's a drink. This will become more obvious to everyone by Day 8. It's safe to consume.

Honestly Leia likes him too. She does have a bit of a thing for scoundrels, after all.

Still, even if she doesn't go with him, she can provide who ever does go with some helpful fake IDs and the like if needed, thanks to Bending. And maybe a few helpful pointers on infiltration.

How would Leia feel about being a Trojan Prisoner? Loki's a wanted man for using an illusion-dispelling spell in public, so he figures he'll need to have something very big to demonstrate his sincerity and usefulness. Getting a natural leader of the Trecker resistance captured when he gives himself up would be pretty good. But he won't do it without her full knowledge and consent, and I dunno if Leia has a way to escape or if you wouldn't mind her being in custody.

Leia could definitely do Trojan Prisoner, provided that Loki has a better plan for getting out if things go awry than Luke and Han did. I don't mind her being in custody for a bit, but unless they keep her in those power-suppressing cuffs 24/7 (assuming Loki doesn't sneakily disable them) she shouldn't have any problem escaping if she needs to. Plus her offers to help will likely become more tempting as things start to fall apart.

Though they'd have to decide how they wanted to play it and get their stories straight before hand though. Probably the easiest thing would be for Leia to be honest about the VT's intentions. 'Yes, we're here, but none of this is our doing. And I'm sure many of us would love to get out of your collective hair, but we're rather short on transportation at the moment, so we're stuck here. A lot of us have abilities that might be helpful in your current situation, but we can't make full use of them while being branded as criminals, so maybe ease up a bit and we can lend you a hand.'

They probably won't believe her at first of course, but at least it won't be hard to remember. X3

Actually, it's probably better if Loki is someone else's Trojan Prisoner since he's probably Public Enemy #1 for bombing a park (with an illusion-dispelling spell) and quite possibly other disruptive acts. If Leia wants to be the fake defector, she could try "tricking" Loki into getting captured, maybe with the rationale that he's clearly dangerous and untrustworthy and she'd rather he be in Diagad custody than allied with the Treckers at all, on top of whatever she tells them about why she wants to defect. Though he would definitely want some sort of escape plan before agreeing to it because he doesn't really want to be cooped up in a cell, much less interrogated and possibly mind whammied into giving away more than he intends. Despite his volatile nature and his posturing he truly does not want to cause unnecessary trouble for the Voidtreckers because their mission reminds him of his first experience outside of his own universe.

Hmmm... That could work too. She could make sure his power-suppressing cuffs didn't work, then he could do the same for hers if she was also cuffed, so any escape plan would be much easier.

And yeah, she could easily play wanting to get this 'threat to both their groups' out of the way, and bring him in as a sort of 'peace offering' to get her foot in the door in order to at least let those in charge hear the Voidtreckers side of things. Because even if they still think the VTers are bad guys, she'd definitely at least want to tell them 'look guys, whatever trouble we've caused in the past, this isn't our doing; we're as stumped and as stuck as you are. how about we put our heads together and see if we can stop this before it goes too far?'
