About you: While I live in EST, I start work at ugh:30 in the morning so tend to live on a GMT schedule. I was here before playing Sakura from Final Fantasy Brave Exvius, but work ate all my time. Now the big change that did that is done, and you all were fun so I'm here with the muse I got from watching Troopy Shows (What my 2 year old calls Super Sentai) with my kid.

Character: Raptor-283
Canon: Kyuranger
Cabin and team: Orange / Sleeper Lower Three, Cabin A
Little bit about them: Raptor is what happens when robots dream. She was a secretary android who was made to pilot the flagship (Ok, the ONLY capital ship) of the Rebellion against Jark Matter's empire. It was in this she became a Kyuranger and helped save the universe. She was the "one sane" member of the crew, except she wasn't that sane. Prone to overimagination and writing fanfic about her crewmates.
Hopes and dreams: I just miss RP. It is nice to have a creative outlet that doesn't involve a 2 year old, or the Grimdark future where there is only war (Note: Yeah, I play warhams too, don't hold it against me)

I love the idea of a totally sapient android who has her own personhood. Phineas here has made androids in the past that seem to have AI but are likely just extensively programmed to resemble it, so I think he'd find Raptor pretty fascinating!

That's actually a pretty big part of her story as only two or three people encourage her that way as opposed to going "You are broken. Let's fix you!"

But seeing as she is part of a shady resistance movement, it may be fun to hang out with the criminal types as long as they stay away from her program!

Oh, no, he would not be able to understand that at all! It's such a huge breakthrough, not something that needs to be fixed. He might want to figure out how it happened and if it's replicable, but not by risking messing her up.

And I'm really intrigued by the sound of that, honestly! I like these different types of characters (whether drastically different or slightly) working together for missions and events and things. :D

robot friend?

hello this is murderbot it is a security unit that hacked its way to freedom but it is definitely more comfortable around fellow robots than humans maybe they can chill :3

I am fine with robot friends! Raptor doesn't quite understand hacking her way to freedom as she was "owned" originally by the most irresponsible captain in the universe and evolved sapience, but she is happy to talk to other robots as long as they aren't trying to murder her!

It's fine, Murderbot doesn't use its name much and certainly only does murder when, y'know. It's absolutely required. Or if it's hacked. But it'll be definitely interested in sapience-evolution; in its canon, that's...not a thing. It itself is a hybrid organic/synthetic because of the level of thinking it requires, and its soulmate vague friend is a full AI but it 'grew up' in a nursey- and even then, it's bound by code, so to speak.

Raptor comes from a HEAVILY singularity influenced canon so, and is prone to overly technical explanations. But sure!

I love Raptor... she and Casper might get along, I think he's the only one who can keep up with her energy when she really gets going. XD
