I am fine with robot friends! Raptor doesn't quite understand hacking her way to freedom as she was "owned" originally by the most irresponsible captain in the universe and evolved sapience, but she is happy to talk to other robots as long as they aren't trying to murder her!

It's fine, Murderbot doesn't use its name much and certainly only does murder when, y'know. It's absolutely required. Or if it's hacked. But it'll be definitely interested in sapience-evolution; in its canon, that's...not a thing. It itself is a hybrid organic/synthetic because of the level of thinking it requires, and its soulmate vague friend is a full AI but it 'grew up' in a nursey- and even then, it's bound by code, so to speak.
