April Information and CR meme!
We hope everyone had a fun month! Some information for your ongoing journey.
IC Month
This month is (still) the month of Kazoo. Days can be found here.
The thought of the month is "A journey well shared is a journey well enjoyed".
This means: Varied CR. The first thread with each character set in the month of Kazoo will earn you two bonus points during March and April.
Threads that fulfil this criteria can be submitted during April AC. You may find it easier to keep a tracking list of threads for easy compiling of bonus AC!
The ingredient of the month is tomato. Recipes are here. All the ingredients can be found in the storeroom, refreshed at the platform, and characters are welcome to make other food with them.
This month’s chore assignments are:
Blue: Laundry
Purple: Cleaning kitchen and bathrooms
Red: Cleaning bedrooms and passenger areas
Orange: Meal Preparation
The Train
As the month reaches the halfway point in the month of Kazoo, the train will stop to pick up new passengers.
As a reminder, you can list things that characters have added to the train here. Just comment under the header of the carriage you are adding to!
Important Dates
This month’s event will be a train event on the 10th and 11th of April. We currently have no submitted player-led plots or events for April.
The TDM will be posted on the 16th. Reserves will open on the 18th. Apps are between the 22nd and the 29th, and AC will run between the same dates.

We ask players to please submit any plots that will be unavoidable, widespread or both to the player plot calendar. This is to ensure that a mod has reviewed it, that events don't pile up, and that when relevant, we can open the dressing carriage and put everyone in matching outfits. It also means you can check the calendar for upcoming events or plots!
Our new players (and old players who want a refresher) might find it useful to read gameplay before the platform. As always the mods are happy to answer any questions you might have.

Lightning - Final Fantasy XIII - red
About them: Cabin 1-A, Red team leader. From Final Fantasy XIII by way of Dissidia 012, Light's a ex-soldier, ex-magical slave who's now on her third unwilling heroic crusade in as many worlds. She's been here for uhhhh ten and a half months and she's so tired. Grumpy big sister of Red team.
Plans: Somehow still red leader, she needs to make sure everyone's okay after that mission. Or at least, as okay as they'll ever be. Her focus this month is going to be getting to know everyone and recording as much as she can to ensure that they're somewhat futureproof. She's still teaching in Fight Club, too, mostly agility, magic and anti-magic combat, and anti-gravity manoeuvring sometimes just in case the train's gravity cuts out again.
CR wanted: I'd like to strengthen her CR generally, I've neglected her a bit recently.

Casper might slide over to her if he can, introduce himself, tell her a bit about his available powerset and mention he's willing to float around free if purple doesn't need him (idk what the exact numbers re but i know red is smaller and he would have counted)

Heh for real though, Mono probably should meet the Red leader at some point just to even understand he has a role in this place re:the team having responsibilities and such. Being part of a group is kind of new (but hey, he'll be eager to try his best with chores)

About them: Cabin 1-D, Orange team. My classroom was destroyed by dimensional magic and so I reincarnated as a monster in the most dangerous labyrinth in the world??? What's happening! What's happening! Saint-level magic user trapped in the body of a spider the height of a grown man. She's evolved twice aboard the Express and now she's an Arachne. Canon is So I'm a Spider, So What? or Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka?
Plans: Playing video games in the Dressing carriage. Starting a sewing club and hopefully teaching some cute apprentices how to make clothes so she can compete with Caster >:(. Magical research generally - current focus being how to make magical storage bags, she'll be kidnapping magic nerds for this. She's riding a high of feeling A Part Of Something after the mission so she'll be more friendly in an awkward way this month.

Ryo has already lost several pieces of train-assigned clothing and, now that he's no longer utterly terrified of Kumoko, will likely come to her for clothes. Also, please teach him the finer points of video games - he's still boggled by their existence.

A-Qing - MDZS - blue
About them: 1-E, Blue team. A young beggar maiden, no longer pretending to be blind, kind of a brat, knows more swear words than you, 4'6 and scrawny. She's from a supernatural detective arc in The Untamed/MoDaoZuShi where she mostly features as a helpful mute ghost, but she's from immediately before reaching Ghost (and mute) status.
Aboard the train she mostly helps in the greenhouse, lurks in the cinema, or follows her close CR around pestering them.
Plans: She's moving on to more advanced training now she's been IN A BATTLE by which i mean she's gonna pester people to show her how to use a sword. Her literacy lessons have advanced to the point she's able to read novels, so she'll be a fixture in the library for a bit. She's definitely going to kidnap some friends and try and play four-player VR games with them.
CR wanted: Cute friends around her age! Found family! Awful feral friends. The usual. Also a girl can never have too many dads.
