IC Month

This month is (still) the month of Kazoo. Days can be found here.

The thought of the month is "A journey well shared is a journey well enjoyed".

This means: Varied CR. The first thread with each character set in the month of Kazoo will earn you two bonus points during March and April.

Threads that fulfil this criteria can be submitted during April AC. You may find it easier to keep a tracking list of threads for easy compiling of bonus AC!

The ingredient of the month is tomato. Recipes are here. All the ingredients can be found in the storeroom, refreshed at the platform, and characters are welcome to make other food with them.

This month’s chore assignments are:
Blue: Laundry
Purple: Cleaning kitchen and bathrooms
Red: Cleaning bedrooms and passenger areas
Orange: Meal Preparation

The Train

As the month reaches the halfway point in the month of Kazoo, the train will stop to pick up new passengers.

As a reminder, you can list things that characters have added to the train here. Just comment under the header of the carriage you are adding to!

Important Dates

This month’s event will be a train event on the 10th and 11th of April. We currently have no submitted player-led plots or events for April.

The TDM will be posted on the 16th. Reserves will open on the 18th. Apps are between the 22nd and the 29th, and AC will run between the same dates.

Thank you to our NPC handlers, Ree and Nat, for their wonderful work on this mission! We couldn't do it without them!

We ask players to please submit any plots that will be unavoidable, widespread or both to the player plot calendar. This is to ensure that a mod has reviewed it, that events don't pile up, and that when relevant, we can open the dressing carriage and put everyone in matching outfits. It also means you can check the calendar for upcoming events or plots!

Our new players (and old players who want a refresher) might find it useful to read gameplay before the platform. As always the mods are happy to answer any questions you might have.

Character: Bucky Barnes AKA Soldat
About them: A formerly brainwashed assassin owned by HYDRA who died in the middle of a fight with Steve Rogers and then spent a year and a half in a dark, dead, horror world, trying to bring it back to life and fight off eldritch monsters. They're a neurotic sweetheart who loves music and origami and hitting the target dead-center. They are trying to single-handedly feed everyone on the train, they're disassociated all to hell, and carry around a lantern that houses their life force.
Plans: Soldat just died on the last mission due to lantern squishage! That's sure a thing. I believe there are plans to try and either shrink or find some way to protect that lantern. We're aiming to get Soldat to actually open up and stop playing their "I Am The Best Asset Ever For My Team" act that they've got up right now, and we're getting there, but it's slow going.
CR wanted: People to adopt. People to teach things to (origami, cooking, fighting, observation skills, languages... they know a lot of weird shit). People to feed. People to tell them they, too, are people. (And people to be prepared when Soldat pushes back on that because no, they are not people, they are a weapon, thank you very much.)
Things to avoid: Not necessarily avoid, but they WILL pitch a fit over mind control, slavery, unwelcome possession, removal of personal choices... I'm perfectly happy to play out them pitching a fit, but just so people are warned. Also not fond of electricity, ice, small spaces, or being looked at for too long, but again, I don't mind tormenting them a little so it's less "avoid" and more "beware".

Ah...Mami should meet them again. She'd feel guilty that she couldn't help! Maybe she can learn something new this time.

Nah, Tony's not one for dehumanization, even if learning an ugly truth like that will be a big shatter point. He'll probably be even more insistent!

And you know what, I suppose learning the weirdo who's always cooking everybody breakfast and talking to himself killed your parents would also induce more staring, wouldn't it?

Yondu will continue to try and tell Soldat that he is important. In that way that Yondu also sees himself as expendable and therefore isn't always the best help.

And Soldat will tell Yondu HE is important right back. So there.

Sometime I will hit up your Entrapta, too, the stars just haven't quite aligned yet for a time when I have space and she has a thing I have ideas for :B

Haha, sorry. Its tough to guess how well known old nostalgia canons are.

Basically hes a kid who stumbled his way into having ghost powers and became a superhero by accident. Oh, and his parents are ghost hunters, which is not great when you spend half your time as a ghost. He's probably desperately in need of mentoring, but is justifiably suspicious about offers to train him because the first time anyone offered that to him it was an arch enemy who was trying to kill his parents at the time.

Soldat is very much welcome to pitch a fit about what Jack's done to Rich!

Once I figure out how to get them to find out what's going on I'd love to get in on that. They'll be so pissed. There just hasn't been opportunity yet, and I think there's like 3 other people already planning on handling the problem isn't there? >.>

There is a group that will be extracting Jack from Rich, but afterwards anyone is welcome to confront him as they please.

I really enjoy interactions between these two, and I'd for them to do more. Kitty will definitely insist that he is a person and not just a weapon, especially since she knows someone who was also made to be just that.

I'm sure we can work something out! :3 They're probably not going to outright tell Kitty of all people about the person problem, she seems all young and kind and she don't need that >.> But if it ever gets more obvious... which is might... :D

Rich could use the people speech after what happened last month. Or just you know, a nice talk and a pat on the back.

Somebody needs to even fill Soldat in, I don't think they knooooow ;.; But point me at a top-level or something I'll see what we can do!
