Test Drive Meme 002
1. Post with your character. I’ve written out some prompts but feel free to make up your own, you have a whole train to play with!
2. Assume they have been around long enough for threads to jump right into the action!
3. Have much fun!
Happy testing!
Luggage Handling
The last carriage of the train is full of luggage. It’s all empty but there sure is a lot of it. Suitcases, old fashioned travelling trunks, rucksacks. And they are scattered everywhere, a safety concern to be sure.
Or perhaps the most fun place on the train, if you are thinking about it right. These cases could be anything, a fort, a bunker. How many can you stack up until they are too high to reach or they tumble down on top of you?
Let out your inner child and relieve some of the boredom of being stuck on a train by creating the luggage castle of your dreams, or step in before disaster strikes and attempt to bring some organisation to this chaos.
Scavenger Hunt
You’ve found yourself on a world that seems to be one huge scrap yard. At least all the parts you can see are and you aren’t the only ones there. A small fighter craft has crash landed here and the pilot needs help fixing their craft to get out of here!
Team One The parts needed must be around here somewhere! This place has all sorts and so it’s just a matter of trying to sort through all the junk to find what you are looking for.
Team Two Some parts from the actual ship are salvageable but it’s going to take a team to get this thing sky worthy again. Fix what can be fixed and get the craft ready for the spare parts that will hopefully be found.
Team Three This planet is not without its nuisances. Most prominent are some strange cyborg rats that have a taste for wiring. Fend them off before they get into the craft and render all the hard work undone.
A picnic with a view
Heroes deserve rewards every now and again and after a few days of protecting a settlement from strange shape shifting alien blobs there is a moment to relax before boarding the train once more.
What a place to relax in. High up on a cliff overlooking a vast plain of crystal stalagmites. The light of two suns reflects of them creating a dazzling prism mirror effect of colour, it’s almost like hovering above a sea of rainbows.
A picnic has been provided by some grateful villagers, the food is strange but delicious and a perfect way to unwind after a stressful few days.

He might be lacking a hand, but Maedhros is still a mighty presence. The rats will know when he has hit them and if they survive the blows, they will be left twitching and sparking. If he were younger, he might try to take the monstrosities apart to see how they worked, but he is too tired and too distracted for that now. So hopefully you don't mind the dull thud of him sweeping the pests into the walls or outright crushing them against the floor.
"Hecal!" he has the sort of voice that booms, but the majority of the time he doesn't use it to its full potential, "What gave you the right for this infestation?"
A Picnic with a View
Sitting still hurts and though his eyes are dazzled by the crystals, he paces, taking a bite of food occasionally. His brow is furrowed and his scarred expression is as dark as a thunderhead; Maedhros Fëanorian has not shared in revelries in centuries. This one will be no different, though you are welcome to try to lighten his spirits.
Picnic!
He doesn't care much about eating, himself, (as how thin he is makes clear) but he approves his brother taking a few bites here and there.
no subject
"Eat, Kano. You need it."
He is still a big brother.
no subject
He wrinkles his nose at the order, fingers reluctantly stilling on the strings. His right hand cramps, scarred palm a rather angry red, but he ignores it as he reaches for the plate set before him with his left.
"Come sit with me?"
no subject
"Hold it there." he is gentle with the harp, setting it aside.
no subject
There are few he would trust his harp with, but Maedhros is one. He rests the wrapped hand on a knee, palm up and fingers curled around as ordered, and eats with the left, clearly used to doing just that.
no subject
It isn't the first time Maedhros has fed him or he has fed Maedhros. They kept each other alive that way. At least until...
His lips tighten and he clenches his jaw.
"I know it bothers you."
no subject
...Maybe he still is, at least enough that he shakes his head, refusing to be spoon fed this time around. And there's an edge to his eyes when he speaks.
"A lot of things bother me. It makes no difference." He's always left alone, by choice or by necessity. Or behind.
no subject
"Speak up or I won't know what needs to be altered." Maedhros rests his hand on his knee, curling his other arm against his abdomen.
no subject
Maglor shrugs and looks away. "You're dead, Nelyo," he answers bluntly. "You will be Reborn across the Sea I cannot cross."
no subject
"There is nothing I can say to make that better." he gazes at his brother again, sad beyond words, "Who says I won't come to get you?"
no subject
He continues to slowly nibble on the food on the plate, finding it easier to look at it rather than his brother, though part of him screams that if he lets Maedhros out of his sight again, he'll be left behind.
Again.
"Because no one does."
no subject
"Except for me."

Scavenger Hunt
Caranthir is unimpressed with Maedhros booming - he's had it directed far too often at himself for that.
"And watch where you're swinging that thing." He adds from his corner.
no subject
"Come out into the light." Maedhros holds his breath, waiting for the figure to move.
no subject
Caranthir drawls as he steps into view - for a dead elf, he looks remarkable well.
"Hello, Nelyo."
no subject
Though death is supposed to be something that sticks, Caranthir.
no subject
"Not something Tyelko agreed with." He smirks, walking over slowly, letting Maedhros see him.
"Curvo or the Ambarussa either!" You two adults are boring.
"I hope you haven't forgotten me!"
Not for elves, duh.
no subject
"How could I forget you?" his voice shakes.
no subject
"True, you're Boring~"
He doesn't fight the hug, which is his own answer.
"You haven't been looking after yourself."
no subject
No, not really. Not at all.
no subject
"He's a terrible example." He growls back.
"Kano told me what you did. Fool!"
no subject
no subject
"Someone had to manage the books." He growls. "I will not say that all that I did was foolish."
no subject
As if he could talk.
