Luggage Handling

The last carriage of the train is full of luggage. It’s all empty but there sure is a lot of it. Suitcases, old fashioned travelling trunks, rucksacks. And they are scattered everywhere, a safety concern to be sure.

Or perhaps the most fun place on the train, if you are thinking about it right. These cases could be anything, a fort, a bunker. How many can you stack up until they are too high to reach or they tumble down on top of you?

Let out your inner child and relieve some of the boredom of being stuck on a train by creating the luggage castle of your dreams, or step in before disaster strikes and attempt to bring some organisation to this chaos.

Scavenger Hunt

You’ve found yourself on a world that seems to be one huge scrap yard. At least all the parts you can see are and you aren’t the only ones there. A small fighter craft has crash landed here and the pilot needs help fixing their craft to get out of here!

Team One The parts needed must be around here somewhere! This place has all sorts and so it’s just a matter of trying to sort through all the junk to find what you are looking for.

Team Two Some parts from the actual ship are salvageable but it’s going to take a team to get this thing sky worthy again. Fix what can be fixed and get the craft ready for the spare parts that will hopefully be found.

Team Three This planet is not without its nuisances. Most prominent are some strange cyborg rats that have a taste for wiring. Fend them off before they get into the craft and render all the hard work undone.

A picnic with a view

Heroes deserve rewards every now and again and after a few days of protecting a settlement from strange shape shifting alien blobs there is a moment to relax before boarding the train once more.

What a place to relax in. High up on a cliff overlooking a vast plain of crystal stalagmites. The light of two suns reflects of them creating a dazzling prism mirror effect of colour, it’s almost like hovering above a sea of rainbows.

A picnic has been provided by some grateful villagers, the food is strange but delicious and a perfect way to unwind after a stressful few days.

Just like an unhappy cat. Maedhros can handle a few claws if he lets Caranthir know he is loved.

"I'll not argue with you."

[grumpycatanthir]

"Good, because you are." He grumbles, and elbows Maedhros.

That's enough affection thanks.

"I like to think I'm less of an idiot as the days pass, but my track record can't prove that." he steps back and knocks another rat into oblivion, "Have you seen Kano?"

[grumpycatanthir]

"Yeah. He looks terrible."

Caranthir flanks him easily.

[castintoflames]

"I had hoped for better." he slams some vermin against the wall, "He needs to eat."

[grumpycatanthir]

Caranthir idly kicks one and then smashes it, dealing Maedhros an incredulous look.

"You left him alone." He says pointedly. "And he's always been the most useless at taking care of himself. What did you expect?"

[castintoflames]

"It wasn't... I wasn't thinking about him." Maedhros tries to explain, pushing his hair away from his face in frustration, "I thought he might seek out Elros or Elrond."

[grumpycatanthir]

Caranthir sighs at him.

"Nelyo." He says almost gently. "Cano is an idiot about guilt. He would never."

[castintoflames]

"They would have searched for him." he shakes his head in wonder over their genetic stubbornness, "He didn't like for me to feed him by hand."

[grumpycatanthir]

Caranthir rolls his eyes.

"Of course not. He's not an invalid, just useless."

[castintoflames]

"It's hard to tell the difference some days." he flexes his fingers, wincing, "This hand is next to useless now. I'm not sure what I can do for him or anyone."

[grumpycatanthir]

Caranthir sighs deeply. Does he have to do ALL the thinking around here?

"Don't die." Duh. "That's the best thing you can do for him."

[castintoflames]

It's either him or Nerdanel, but she got out of it early, didn't she.

"Even if I can't fight for him or protect him?"

[grumpycatanthir]

And that is why they call her "Wise"!

"You can do that too, obviously, but we're all adults, Maedhros. We can take care of ourselves, for the most part. He just needs to feel not abandoned."

WHY IS HE HAVING TO GIVE ADVICE WHAT IS THIS CRAP.

[castintoflames]

The look he gives that little speech screams his suspicion. Are they adults? Can they take care of themselves?

"Nothing is that simple." he slams a rat against the wall, shattering it into tiny pieces.

[grumpycatanthir]

Caranthir glares flatly back.

"Who is the one who tossed himself into a volcano? Because it certainly wasn't me." He says pointedly.

[castintoflames]

"I survived everything that preceded that moment." as if it matters. Maedhros grimaces at the metal left embedded in his palm.

[grumpycatanthir]

"And then tossed yourself into a volcano." Caranthir emphasises. "It seems to me that I am not the one who needs looking after!"

[castintoflames]

If his emaciated body isn't evidence enough...

"I remember helping you take baths and get dressed." Maedhros smiles tauntingly, flicking his hair out of his face.

[grumpycatanthir]

"And looking at you now, I could sit on you without breaking a sweat." Caranthir retorts.

[castintoflames]

"Why would you hold me prisoner? You would gain nothing from it." he snorts and exams a crystal curiously.

[grumpycatanthir]

"I would gain the ability to stop you hurting your actual only hand more." He snaps, and grabs it to pick metal splinters out.

[castintoflames]

"Come again?" he pretends to be ignorant until...well. There are metal splinters in his fingers, which are already scarred thanks to the Silmaril. Oops.

[grumpycatanthir]

Caranthir sighs. "If you're going to be smashing rats, please remember that you do, in fact, have only one hand left, and maybe use a weapon."

YOU WERE SAYING SOMETHING ABOUT BEING AN ADULT????

"I am surprised I have the one." Maedhros admits, expression blank, "I felt my fingers burning away before I jumped."

Agony is just part of his life at this point.
