Project Purple Census (Collection Entry)

So you got put into Purple. Or you like Purple enough to stick around more often than not. Great! Then this one's for you.

THE OFFICIAL PURPLE TEAM CENSUS (IC SURVEY; CLICK FOR FIRST TIME READERS/NEWCOMERS)

[ Your character is free to find a tall stack of the following one-page letter in the library car, after Roland announces the initiative on the ICP on behalf of the leadership team. ]

Welcome to Purple. On missions, our objectives usually revolve around combat and protection of groups (towns, escorting), and so as missions can get dangerous, we have prepared the following to guide and help everybody prepare.

WHEN A MISSION IS CALLED, a meeting will be held by the team leads, or a liaison on behalf of the leads. Roles will be distributed based on who will be coming with the team, and a headcount made. People are asked to let a team lead know if they’ll be swapping out to another team. If you feel you can better support another team, please do.

Purple Team organizes itself by the following roles:
🟣 Lead: Resource and talent management, team organizers; keeps track of team, arranges meetings; available on and off mission
🟣 Liaison: Keeps track of team members, helps with morale; will notify a lead or request aid when necessary; off mission, help answer questions and support team efforts (optional)
🟣 Inventory Manager: Keeps stock of supplies on the train, distributes them to suppliers before missions
🟣 Combatants: Physical and magical fighters
    🟣 Non-Combatants:
➜ Medics: those who will focus on medical healing through magical and non-magical means
➜ Gatherers: for those who will help gather resources and equipment if and when available
➜ Suppliers: for those who can help carry and distribute supplies (food, weapons, etc)
➜ Communications: for those who will track the communication lines and contact other teams for regular updates

A person may take on whichever role better suits the mission environment, and also the individual at the time. If you’re suited for multiple roles, then we’ll support your talents as best we can on each mission. Sometimes, gatherers won’t be necessary; on another, we may have a greater need for medical assistance.

With that said, please fill out the form below. You may leave it on the adjacent tray for our collection, or hand it to either Team Lead and subsequent liaisons if you would prefer that. Thank you and let's do good work out there!

    - Roland Crane.

ADDITIONAL OOC NOTES:
🟣 You may read the original OOC announcement of this project here.
🟣 Roles are voluntary. Other than team leads and inventory managers, which require sticking to Purple Team more, characters (and players!) should feel free to swap teams as they please. Due to the size of Purple, this is ICly encouraged!
🟣 Picking roles. If your character can cover multiple roles, then note it down! Needs will shift depending on the mission. Besides, these will only be relevant depending if your character comes along, and what items they will be given before a mission.
🟣 Liaisons. If signing up for Liaison, you may be asked to help during off-missions as someone who can be approached for FAQ/help along with the leads.
🟣 Hammerspace. If your character has means of carrying extra supplies through magic or some other canon item, but has no interest in distributing supplies to individuals, please let us know so you may pass them onto people who can take them from you as needed (Inventory Managers, Non-combatant/Supply Lines)
🟣 Form Responses. If anyone would like to play out in a thread the idea of speaking about their survey answers or about missions in general, please indicate it after the final question on the form. A lead or liaison can reply, and IC-inboxes can be shared.

Ready? Kindly copy-paste the form below. For those with multiple characters in Purple, please create separate top-level comments using their individual journals. Reminder that the form in question will also be taken as IC information, so please only share what your characters are willing to share on the questionnaire.

Thank you so much everyone! Let's have fun!

Soldat will likely spend a lot of missions with Red unless it looks like they're needed on Purple, but they will still be good for providing provisions ahead of time. They're already experimenting with home-made granola bars, fruit bars, trail mixes, dried snacks: food that will keep for longer missions.

They've got some phobias and hang-ups, but when in a situation like a mission can mostly push past them. Just not free, loud electricity. That one's gonna be a problem if/when it comes up. Also, the metal arm doesn't do well with more than a couple hours underwater, so that's a thing.

Tidus would make the suggestion that Soldat acts as an Inventory Manager on-train, and helps with keeping up the prepared food stocks (which is stored in the team arms bands, to keep them fresh - so preparing in advance works!).

If they're up for it, getting other baking-friendly members involved would be fun (Mami has expressed interest in meal prep). And if they would want to submit extras to other teams, there is a general supplies that takes in food too (run by Lightning of Red Team).

There are actually some foods that could be prepared, that can be offered to them. Would you be interested in this? There's still about 5 bears that need to be cooked/dealt with, as well as lemba flour being turned into bread (lemba bread being an elven bread that each slice will completely fill you up, no matter your metabolism; so good for those who need to eat a lot). This can be brought up ICly to them if you like, or you can go and do with it what you like. :)

Five... bears? O.o I don't know what that means. Like actual bears? They'd be happy to learn how to make lembas though, absolutely! Raven got them some their first day.

Honestly, Soldat would be so happy to be given a job, especially one focused on feeding people. Structure man, it's great. I'm happy to play it out IC if you wanna :3 And happy to work with others IC, Soldat and Mami talked a few times so they're familiar ^^ Soldat basically spends a solid chunk of each day in the kitchen car anyway, trading their own team chores for cooking with somebody.

Ah yes, actual bears! There was a hunt a few missions ago and a few characters hunted bears. So. Bears. That need to be cleaned and cooked. Some people went wild with the bears.

But yes absolutely! After platform cooking adventures Tidus would absolutely be like oh, they should do meal preps.

Edit: Btw here's a spreadsheet you can access to add foods, etc that Soldat would have made and that are available as they come up, etc.

There's also a small what's up here to look at when you have the time!

Also if you don't want to really put numbers for the quantity of food, that's fair. You can always just got 'low, decent, high' for quantity. Yes. We won't fuss about it being updated regularly, it's just a 'yo this is what the team has'

Welp. Soldat... does know a little about field-dressing hunted meat, but it's always been like rabbits and things, from the war. Now that I know there's bears I'ma have to have them poke at those XD

Soldat also basically did a bunch of meal prep before the last mission without anyone telling them to, Titus might have noticed that, too. They didn't know about arm bands so it was all just non-perishable stuff and some soup for the first day. They were basically the food supply person for missions in my last game, so they do this naturally >.>

I'll start poking that spreadsheet as we get closer to mission then :3 And maybe poke Cassie, since Soldat knows she's the quartermaster already, and would want to coordinate... hmm.

Tidus would/will bring up about Inigo for the bears, since he has more experience with hunted meats, and was also the one who called for the hunting for supplies!

The arms bands are only a few honestly, though there's been a general supplies for a while that offer out potions, foods, etc. before missions. But tbh people can do what they want and do. 🀷

Basically it can be assumed that the Inventory Managers would be made aware of each other. o7 But yes, whatever's easiest for you!

How does one get access to update that spreadsheet? I've got view only access rn. Or should I just let you know what to add?
