March Information and CR meme!

We hope everyone had a fun month! Some information for your ongoing journey.

IC Month

This month is the month of Kazoo. Days can be found here.

The thought of the month is "A journey well shared is a journey well enjoyed".

This means: Varied CR. The first thread with each character set in the month of Kazoo will earn you two bonus points during March and April.

Threads that fulfil this criteria can be submitted during April AC. You may find it easier to keep a tracking list of threads for easy compiling of bonus AC!

The ingredient of the month is tomato. Recipes are here. All the ingredients can be found in the storeroom and characters are welcome to make other food with them.

This month’s chore assignments are:
Blue: Laundry
Purple: Cleaning kitchen and bathrooms
Red: Cleaning bedrooms and passenger areas
Orange: Meal Preparation

The Train

As the month moves onto the month of Kazoo, the train will stop to pick up new passengers. When everyone rejoins the train they will find a new sleeper carriage.

As a reminder, you can list things that characters have added to the train here. Just comment under the header of the carriage you are adding to!

Important Dates

This month’s event will be a world event on the 11th - 25th of March. (An info and plotting post will go up on the 7th)

The TDM will be posted on the 16th. Reserves will open on the 18th. Apps are between the 22nd and the 29th. AC will run from the 23rd to the 30th of March.

Character: Asagiri Gen

About them:
A “Mentalist” - former magician before his world got sent back to the literal Stone Age - Gen is a natural trickster who means well, really. Think of him as Loki but without the powers or the backstabbing tendencies. He lies, he swindles, and he will trick you into taking care of yourself and helping the train, damn it.

Plans:
Gen’s going to help Senku make chocolate and probably act as an assistant in the medical car - and they’ll bake a cake with Romeo. He’s going to go with his scientist boyfriend to the dance, too, damn it. :D

Otherwise, I’ve got tentative thoughts about getting him hurt on the mission, since it’s decidedly his turn.

If anyone would like to rope him into schemes, HMU!

CR wanted:
Gen knows so many nice people, he could always know more! But it’d be amusing if he had a trickster friend, a devious person to befriend or perhaps berival?

Things to avoid: Not that I can think of!

I think he and Casper will get along just fine - Loki's his grandfather, after all. :V

He can be a hilarious mark for Gen to try since he can read body language and lies probably about as well as Gen can, on top of having superpowers. He can be devious when he wants to be.

xD Casper is more on the 'catch people in a lie' than 'lie to them' end of things, but he can go near-invisible so sneaking up on Gen is very possible. :V

Here’s the thing though - now that I skimmed through Casper’s ability explanation ....

Gen is uncannily good at lying in canon. He fools a lie detector test, even. Some people still see through him because they don’t trust him - or because his lies are a bit too perfect.

So I don’t want to make him superhuman - now and then he’ll have a tell. But canonically he’s incredibly good at hiding any sign that he’s lying, right down to keeping his physiology calm and even.

Oh yeah no I'm up to date on the anime. I'm at least somewhat aware... but yeah. Casper doesn't usually call people out on their lies unless he's got a very good reason.

But once they get past that he's happy to let loose and be a bit of a gremlin. xD

Later on in the manga, some villains dunk him into a homemade lie detector thing to interrogate him about Senku and their friends. It’s a good time. :D

But I’m looking forward to seeing these guys interact!

You know Koumyou can be a trickster frand if we can figure out how to make it happen.

We totally need to make this happen. It’ll just need to involve me tagging more than once a week again ahahaha whoops.

I’m getting back on the horse though and Gen definitely needs to bug Koumyou more. XD they made an impression on each other over movies already!
