We hope everyone had a fun month! Some information for your ongoing journey.

IC Month

This month is the month of Kazoo. Days can be found here.

The thought of the month is "A journey well shared is a journey well enjoyed".

This means: Varied CR. The first thread with each character set in the month of Kazoo will earn you two bonus points during March and April.

Threads that fulfil this criteria can be submitted during April AC. You may find it easier to keep a tracking list of threads for easy compiling of bonus AC!

The ingredient of the month is tomato. Recipes are here. All the ingredients can be found in the storeroom and characters are welcome to make other food with them.

This month’s chore assignments are:
Blue: Laundry
Purple: Cleaning kitchen and bathrooms
Red: Cleaning bedrooms and passenger areas
Orange: Meal Preparation

The Train

As the month moves onto the month of Kazoo, the train will stop to pick up new passengers. When everyone rejoins the train they will find a new sleeper carriage.

As a reminder, you can list things that characters have added to the train here. Just comment under the header of the carriage you are adding to!

Important Dates

This month’s event will be a world event on the 11th - 25th of March. (An info and plotting post will go up on the 7th)

The TDM will be posted on the 16th. Reserves will open on the 18th. Apps are between the 22nd and the 29th. AC will run from the 23rd to the 30th of March.

Character: Entrapta
About them: She-Ra and the Princesses of Power.
- Cabin: 4:D
- Mad scientist with the ability to move her hair.
- Likely to occasionally miss some social cues, especially when she's excited on missions.
- A scientist who comes from a magical world so she sees it as an integral part of invention.
- Will use her hair to both get around and do stuff. It's constantly moving
Plans: She's working on a robot to engage people in training if they want with a battle monster personality. I'm looking for people to help advise her in building it. So far I plan to have her talk to Bulma about monitoring some of impact activities in the gym and she's consulting with others on things like shielding, programming, and self-reconstruction. It's a long haul project and I want to show my work. End game plan is a cute dinosaur-shaped friendbot who likes to play hard if invited to OR chase laser pointers.

After talking with Guri (and will probably be driven more by other robots joining) she wants to make or order some specialized 'medkits' for the medical car and for missions.

She wants to consult with the magical types about their ideas on magical healing. Being that she made weapons for the Horde, she thinks that with a little research they could probable develop some ranged healing rifles and bombs/grenades that the crew would be capable of using during missions that might require it. She'd leave anything developed in the armory.

She is still studying the hard light holograms from the Helpmate parts she took from the one mission, and coming up with applications.

CR wanted: Basically I want any CR. I don't have anything particular in mind, but Entrapta is a good character to know if you want problems fixed or if you want distractions. The way she deals with emotions and feelings of inadequacy is with action and solutions. She's also the type that wouldn't judge someone for their past unless they were Horde Prime levels of heinous. She sees value and importance in almost everyone.
Things to avoid: If someone comes at her hard with negative CR she'll just avoid them. It's not productive to engage with someone like that.

Cherry will be particularly like. Entranced by Entrapta's hair??? Otherwise Cherry is the kind of person who gets excited because her friend is excited even if she doesn't understand a single word of what her friend is excited about and Cherry doesn't really mind people who miss social cues at all so I'd really like these two to be friends??

Cherry has absolutely 0 knowledge with robots and science and stuff but she will gladly listen to Entrapta go on and on and on for hours about it, and she'll ask questions, and she'll slowly absorb information. Please teach Cherry about technology.

Joking aside she's never actually seen real combat before so if she's with Entrapta when things go awry the first time Entrapta's gonna see Cherry freeze big time and get hurt. Not grievously injured, but you know. So. Hopefully not that circumstance. :^) Cherry will more than happily take care of things otherwise, though. She wants her friends to be safe!!

Entrapta does know to run... sort of (it's a work in progress, she'll also run INTO danger if there's something that absolutely must be done) so she'd probably yank her out of the way with her hairs. She just might comment on how awesome the thing trying to kill them is.

lbr Entrapta will drag Cherry out of situations with non-robot enemies and Cherry will drag Entrapta out of situations with robot enemies lmfao Cherry will probably agree that the thing is cool once they're not in immediate danger

Alley knows how to make a healing grenade from plants from her world, some of which she's growing now in the greenhouse! Entrapta could probably super improve on the design a lot. We just gotta get them to talk about stuff. Maybe if teams can mingle on the next mission, Alley can protect her while she does something important?

And Koumyou's sutra can heal -- well, restore. But it's 1/5th of the power that created all of existence and nonexistence and everything in between, so it's kind of... too heinous to use outside of an emergency. In theory, it could restore non-organic damaged shit too.

And he's very much not an expert on healing magics in general, but he can do other kinds.

Excellent. She's been making a lot of theories based on what she's heard of other people's powers, but needs to talk to a lot of people about it.

She's still interested in learning more about Chi. She really wants to help people that don't use magic or spiritual/planetary energies and don't really have the time to learn find ways to integrate those abilities into their teamwork plans on a level they can easily understand.

She's learning! ....Slowly. Sort of.

Though it's good to know who I can have her be intensely awkward at with them having the patience to go "Oh honey you're being weird" and not just "Ew! Stop!?"

Yeah I mean, Casper's social responses are not 100% accurate (mainly trauma-informed and weird powers-informed rather than nonneurotypical) but he has worked with plenty of friends from plenty of species. He can also get very hyperfixated when he gets going on one of his special interest topics (occult shit/mythology for him) and understands the need for someone to gently apply breaks if needed.

Nozomi's new, not that smart at all, but she's a magical girl warrior-type! So... maybe these two can do something interesting?

She'll probably have things to ask her about, since she has magic in her world and the differences and similarities in magical physics is currently one of her interests.

Murderbot will be all over that project once it hears about that, for the record. Or at least sticking its nose in to it while trying not to be obvious about such.

Yup! That's part of the hard-light hologram study. Her idea is to create drones that can generate holographic versions of people in areas they wouldn't be able to reach normall because of either space or danger and still be able to work.

For basic bitch humans this would require a VR headset but I bet Murderbot could just handle it remotely.

Yeah, easily; might be a good test subject, so to speak, to make sure the code itself is working before they move in to the UI for scrubs others. I don't think it's familiar with hardlight so that in itself would be interesting, application/implication wise; so long as Entrapa doesn't try, IDK, hugging it, we can definitely get this working out :D

Luckily for Murderbot, where she lies on the spectrum canonically puts her in a place where she'd rather pat someone from a distance with her hair than provoke a hug. She has to *really* like you to go for a hug.
