Crisis On… A Ship!

The train has a game carriage and the VR video games are always popular. A good way to relive boredom as well as teaching some good skills.

Crisis on...This game can be played with two to four players. It is essentially a crisis simulator mixed with an escape room. You can chose the scenario (the bridge of a space ship, a camp in a jungle, a high rise building, a sailing ship etc) and you are thrown into the middle of a crisis of some kind. Teamwork and a cool head are important as is using the surroundings wisely.

Ahoy there! You and your small crew are on board a sailing ship in the middle of an ocean. But you are being chased by an enemy ship and there’s a storm brewing! There are many roles for you to chose from and different puzzles and problems to be solved. Batten down the hatches, flee the enemy ships and if necessary man the canons! Bring yourselves and your crew to harbour safely.

Dressing up

The upcoming mission is one in space and the void treckers have been told to blend in. The dressing room has been opened and what awaits them looks like it walked out of a old science fiction film. Shoulder pads, metalic colours. Everything over the top, ridiculous and not practical at all.

Yet the mission brief said to fit in. So swallow your pride and try and find outfits that aren’t too ridiculous. Or go all out and make the most of it, it’s not every day you can wear elaborate outfits after all.

Space Battle

As perhaps the outfits had suggested this world is an odd one, the outfits given to the voidtreckers make them some of the most subtle dressed people in the space city. Big, bold and loud. But the crisis is clear, an enemy force attacking this city filled with non combatants and children.

Team One

Space fighting time! The space ships are designed for two so voidtreckers will need a partner. There’s not much time to train so it will be mostly learning on the job, but it’s fine. The voidtreckers job is mostly to make up numbers, to split the enemy’s focus whilst those that know how to pilot go in to defeat the enemy.

Team Two

The problem with space battles is, there are a lot of injuries and a lot of damaged space ships. The space city is not one that has a large military so damaged ships need to be fixed as quickly as possible.

Help out the engineers. It might be the voidtreckers know a little about repairing ships themselves but even if they don’t, extra pairs of hands are always useful.

Team Three

This city is loud, bustling and full of life. But with the battle raging outside everyone needs to stay safe. Help people get to shelters. Clear the streets and begin the evacuation, though hopefully a full evacuation won’t be needed.

Space Disco

Enemies vanquished, this city does what it apparantly does best. That is, party. The music is way too loud, different songs out of each building, people dance in the streets, lights flash far too fast. There is strange street food to try, new dances to learn and a victory to celebrate.

'We've been fortunate in that sense." Trowa smiled and lapsed into silence for a moment. He was enjoying getting to be so close to Quatre. "It is a nice change to be off the train for a while, though. Have you had any of the food here?"

He nodded. "It would have been much worse if they didn't." Quatre was content with the silence, just leaning slightly against Trowa as he kept his arm around him, watching the party going on. His blue eyes shifted up to Trowa's face when he spoke again. "It is. It's too confining on the train. I have not. Shall we see what's here?"

Trowa couldn't help smiling at Quatre, enjoying having the blond at his side again. "I think I saw some little finger sandwiches." If the music was a little slower, he'd coax Quatre out for a dance.

"Oh, that would be great! Let's go try some!" He beamed, ready to go see what else was here besides just this spot by the wall. It wasn't all that exciting, but he wasn't much for crazy parties. To be honest, if they found a section of the party where the music wasn't so loud and crazy, he would dance with Trowa.

He reached for Trowa's hand so they could walk together and not get separated.

Twining his fingers with Quatre's, Trowa led the way toward where he had seen the snacks. They'd been near to the drinks, which was convenient. "Right this way."

"Thank you." Quatre was still smiling as he walked with Trowa, interlacing his fingers with the other pilot's. It was convenient that they hadn't been too far from refreshments. Quatre had not planned that. Honestly.

Trowa grabbed a plate and set it on the table, using the provided tongs to select a variety of small sandwiches for them both. He'd had to set his glass down, but it was already empty anyway, so it didn't matter much. "Which would you like to try first?"

Quatre watched patiently as Trowa served a variety of different sandwiches onto the plate. They weren't like anything he had seen before... though vaguely familiar in one way or another. "I think... we should try this one." He indicated a specific sandwich and then picked up one of them so they can both try it.

"Sounds like a good place to start." Trowa picked up the matching small sandwich and gave it a try. "Not bad."

Quatre took a bite of the sandwich when Trowa did and then smiled. "Yeah, it's pretty good. Not quite what I was expecting but it is not bad." He chuckled. "It's kind of like a mystery sandwich."

Trowa smiled, almost chuckling as he finished the sandwich. "Want to choose the next or should I?"

Quatre finished his sandwich as well. "It's your turn to pick," he said brightly. "Only fair. I picked the first mystery sandwich."

Looking at the plate, Trowa chose a pair of sandwiches with a darker bread. "Those, then." He picked one up and offered it to Quatre.

"Alright, let's try that one," he said, taking the selected sandwich. He studied it for a brief moment before taking a bit. "It's pretty good. Sweeter than I thought it would be."

'Not as sweet as you.' Popped into Trowa's head as his cheeks darkened a bit. He didn't dare say that out loud, Quatre might think he was weird. Which, fair point, he was, but also not the point at all. "That was unexpectedly sweet, I agree. Your turn to choose again."

Quatre just smiled in response. He thought he saw Trowa's face darkening a bit but in the light, it was hard to tell for sure. If Trowa has said that out loud, he would probably have blushed too. But he didn't know this.

"Okay... how about this one?" He selected another sandwich. Same color bread as the first, but the filling was clearly different.

"Alright." Trowa picked up one of the sandwiches and took a bite before wrinkling his nose. Something pickled, and far over pickled to his taste buds. "Bitter."

Quatre took a bite of it as well, frowning at it after a moment. "Certainly not what I was expecting. If it had something else with it, it might still be good. By itself is a little much. So which one next?"

There were only two options left on the plate, so Trowa pointed to the one closer to Quatre. "Let's go for that one." It was a light bread, and the filling looked similar to egg salad.

"Sounds good." Quatre picked up the sandwich that Trowa had pointed to and took a bite. He clearly thought about it for a bit. It wasn't quite the same as an egg salad, at least that they were used to. "It's not bad."

Nodding, Trowa was quick to finish it off. "Not what I was expecting, but still quite good. I guess we're down to the last option, now."

"Yeah, only one left," Quatre said picking up the last sandwich option. He held it up. "Cheers." Since Trowa was no longer holding a plate with other sandwiches. And then he took a bite. And paused. "What do you make of this one?" He couldn't tell if he liked it or not.

Trowa also took a bite, pausing to consider the flavor. "Not the best, but better than that pickled one."

"That is true. Definitely better than that one." Quatre smiled. "That was fun, trying what another world considers a sandwich. What shall we do now?"

Hearing the music switch to something a little slower, Trowa took a deep breath and smiled. "May I have this dance?"
