IC Month

This month is the month of Egret. Days can be found here.

The thought of the month is Great things never came from comfort zones

The challenge is: Tagging into other peoples top levels or posts will earn you two bonus points. Two bonus points will be awarded for each thread that you tag into during March and April.

Threads that fulfill this criterial can be submitted during April AC. You may find it easier to keep a tracking list of threads for easy compiling of bonus AC!

Recipes are here. All the ingredients can be found in the storeroom and characters are welcome to make other food with them.

This month's chore assignments are:

Blue: Cleaning bedrooms and passenger areas
Purple: Meal Preparation
Red: Laundry
Orange: Cleaning kitchen and bathrooms

The Train.

As the month moves onto the month of Egret the train will stop to pick up new passengers. When everyone rejoins the train they will find a new carriage!

Carriage G: Greenhouse

Like the garden carriage the walls and ceiling are made of a transparent material. The ceiling is a dome shape, a single metal beam runs from one end to another, mounted on this beam are large bright lights.

The aisle of grass runs down the middle, from one door to the next. Stone paths branch off around raised beds of soil. Nothing is growing yet but there are crates in which passengers can find a whole host of seeds and bulbs for various flowers.

This has been updated on the setting.

The shop has been updated to add energy drinks, for passengers over sixteen. Points have been updated on the passenger roster.

If your character does anything to alter the setting please let me know!

Important Dates

This month's event will be a mission event between 13th and 26th March. An info and plotting post will go up on 9th March.

Reserves will open 17th March with a TDM on the 15th March. Apps are between 20th and 27th March. AC will run 23rd to 30th March.

Character: Conan Edogawa (Shinichi Kudo)
About them: Detective Conan. High school detective who was poisoned and turned into a child. Probably holds the train record for longest time holding on to a secret identity. Also probably still smallest child on train.
Plans: Avoiding all those people who saw more in his dreams than he would have liked. Recently rejoined insomnia club. Finding something,anything to occupy his mind.
CR wanted: Everything! Especially looking for kids to be friends with, concerned adults, and people to argue with.

Character: Danny Fenton
About them: Danny Phantom. Snarky teenage superhero with ghost powers.
Plans: ....He's going to point his telescope at the void to see what happens. Also someone told him there were ghost wards on the train,and I kind of want to have him forget where they are and run into them.
CR wanted: All the ghost related people. Also other superheroes.

Character: Will Stanton
About them: Dark is Rising Sequence. Quiet and thoughtful wizard kid. ...Who isn't actually very good at being a kid at the moment.
Plans: Will was very troubled by the dreams last month, but he's not entirely sure what to do about it. Plans for this month are to continue having him process that, and maybe find some ways to distract him.
CR wanted: He really needs some CR to remind him that he's still a kid and is allowed to have fun. So all the kids. Also anyone interested in talking about magic and time travel. And anyone who attacked the train wall. Will had a vision of that, but he hasn't actually met many of the people he saw in person.

About them: Detective Conan/Magic Kaito. She's the daughter of a police inspector and best friend with Kaito Kuroba. She's extremely Tsundere and has a bit of temper. She tends to refer to herself in the third person though, so if that bothers you let me know and I'll change it.
Plans: Nothing major. Meet her roommates, take care of Kaito's dove, keep Kaito in line, you know. Normal teenage girl things.
CR wanted: Anything and Everything, she's new and she needs friends.
Things to avoid: She doesn't know her BFF is actually a thief. No one tell her.

Character: Peter Parker
About them: MCU's favorite disaster child.
Plans: On Day 2 Peter and Gwen are hosting a Party for everyone. Everyone is invited. Be there. Also, he's trying to figure out how to get more points to buy THINGS!
CR wanted: Anything and Everything!
Things to avoid: Rosemary!!! Do not give this child Rosemary. He will get sick.

Character: The Doctor
About them: Friendly Timelord from that one series about time travel and aliens
Plans: Nothing as of yet. Just meeting new people

About them: Badass book-geek who does have a temper. Mostly, though, she can keep calm in a crisis. Enjoys helping people and has something of a self-sacrificing schtick.
Plans: Attempting to understand the train itself better - or at least discover more of its quirks. Also trying to help out fellow newbies!

About them: Yu-Gi-Oh. Basically some billionaire genius who spent his talent and riches on enhancing the card game experience. Loner with major trust issues. Fun times.
Plans: Avoiding people as much as possible. Eating and showering at odd hours, avoiding the party, finding quiet spots, sneaking in late because he doesn't want to deal with roommates (sorry Terra, Happy, and Padmé). He'll do chores and cooperate on missions, but that's it.
CR wanted: He'll likely go after the Orange slackers. And try to at least be cordial with the rest of the team. Would also love people to draw him out of his shell---kids especially, but his guard's down more late at night.

Oh, and she's an Artist. She happens to be so good at sculpture that people have, in canon, mistaken her statues as real people.

About them: Kaito is just an ordinary Japanese High School Student, promise, who just so happens to be a magician in his spare time. Oh, and he moonlights (hah) as an internationally famous jewel thief in his spare time. But that's not odd right? He's only trying to catch his father's murderers! Oh and find a jewel that might actually grant immortality. He's a genius level prankster who does brilliantly in class to the great despair of his teacher who would probably like to expell him, and his favourite "Critics" are the genius Teen Detectives of his world, who he deliberately taunts out with coded riddles that warn of his next target. How no one has connected the amateur magician who hangs out with the Inspector in charge of catching the KID and his daughter with the thief who uses tricks that said magician's Magician Father once used the world may never know...
Plans: I know, I know, I need to pull a heist... or stage a Show, I WILL GET AROUND TO IT EVENTUALLY...

About them: Dairine is a wizard from New York whose specialty is working with technology. She also does outer space travel, mediation between species, and working with stars. Dairine can often be a temperamental brat, but once she makes friends her unique kindness and loyalty shines. Like her sister Nita, she is a big geek.
Plans: Now that she's had a month to sulk get used to her situation, Dairine will be avoiding people less. She'll be looking for folks she met at Paradisa to reconnect. Also looking into the ICP, SCA, and other possibly connection devices.
CR wanted: Most anything, but especially telepathic and technology related CR. She loves chatting with non-humanoid people as well.
Things to avoid: She'll be trying to avoid Tony Stark (sorry Tony), but other don't have to cooperate.

About them: Most adorable ball of light and hope. Madoka is in her early teens but could easily be mistaken for younger due to her looks and just.. general demeanour, tbh.. She can be shy, but she's infinitely friendly and loving once you get to know her. She also carries an incredibly wild amount of magical potential within her. Kind of like the larval stage of a goddess.
Plans: Madoka will be so happy about the greenhouse! She'll definitely spend a lot of time in there, and if others are interested in trying to plant stuff but don't have much experience she'd gladly offer to help them out!
CR wanted: I have a pretty wide variety of CR for her already, so I'm down for anything! Just be wary of being mean to her because she has two protective dads..

Plans: [I honestly don't have a lot except Rapunzel going out, doing chores as usual and learning new things. Nothing overall outstanding.
CR wanted: Just any type of Cr, I enjoy setting Rapunzel up with different types and see what happens from it.

Character: Yugi Mutou
About them: Yu-Gi-Oh! Current King of Games and a teenager who just loves games. Friendly and confident he will go out of his way to help someone in need.
Plans: Just getting him settled into his new life, probably bothering Kaiba, finding out there is a games room and being excited and starting to think about his nexts steps. Also plans to teach people what duel monsters are because he has his deck and can use them for examples when explaining.
CR wanted: People who like games, people he can attempt to befriend. People who he can play games with.
Things to avoid: Nothing here atm.

Elfnein's originally a gender-less clone but since fusing with Carol and all that she's a normal human. Elfnein also doesn't really sleep and runs off coffee and energy drinks.
Plans: Find someone that is over 16 to buy her energy drinks since the train has decided only adults can buy it. Also her birthday is March 3rd, so I was thinking there could be a birthday party for her!

About them: MCU AU. All the stuff in the MCU happened, but the fight in End Game, the mutants joined and Tony Stark didn't do the snap. Creed is still Creed, but he's pretty laid back right now.
Plans: I want him to los ehis temper. Y'all keep throwing people at him that make him PROTECC. Someone piss him off.

About them: Spinel is a reformed villain who lashed out in her extreme pain. She truly wants to be a good friend (a real one, not a toy) and regrets her actions, but she’s going to have to work at it. Given a bit of time to trust and forgiveness when she will inevitably turn sour, she has the potential to be a loyal and sweet friend.
Plans: Trying to get her settled in somewhat.
CR wanted: Someone to gain her trust in time. She’ll listen and be mostly cooperative, but that doesn’t mean she trusts anyone. I’ll be impressed if someone can talk her into filling out the questionnaire.

About them: He's an original character, coming from a world a few hundred years in the future after humans fucked up earth and had to leave it. He's never been on earth and doesn't know much about it. He's also a musician with a band of his own back home, and recently went through the traumatic experience of losing his girlfriend (she died). He also just got clean from drugs, so he might be a little more irritable than normal for a while, and he's pansexual so he'll flirt with anything that breathes. Basically, for a tl;dr he's a sweetheart with no brain to mouth filter.
Plans: He's brand new, just going to be arriving on the train in March, so I have absolutely no plans as of the moment! Besides getting him settled in. Also he's totally not going to do his chores, haha, or if he does, he'll only do half of them.
CR wanted: Looking for friends, to start with. He didn't have many friends back home, so getting him a good social network here would be nice.

About them: She's my Marvel Super Heroes RPG character, so she's a mutant who went to school at Xavier's Institute for Higher Learning. Snarky and shy in turns, she doesn't trust her powers much so she wears her inhibitor bracelet around and then tends to cut loose on missions. She needs and wants friends, but tends to hold people at arm's length anyway. Best friends with Gwen so far, but she's got decent CR with most of the Marvel crowd (also so far).
Plans: Only going to school. Maybe more CR with one Victor Creed.
CR wanted: I'm pretty open to anything!
Things to avoid: Naw, not really.


Character: Sarai Thunderstorm, (a) Warrior of Light.
About them: She's from Final Fantasy XIV; she's half of the Thunderstorm power couple (lol!). Bard with all that entails, she tries to be charming and diplomatic most of the time. She's short at 4'9 and a half and has quite the set of horns on her. Also black scales and a spiky tail and claws, so she's a bit noticeable. But she's a ray of sunshine most of the time, friendly and willing to help.
Plans: She's one of the Purple team leaders and on the council, but with certain events last month, she's seriously considering stepping down... Currently she's helping a certain spider EVOLVE, yay! She got her white mage job stone back recently, so she can be relied on for magical healing now, too.
CR wanted: Again, pretty open!
Things to avoid: Flirting's fine, but she's fiercely loyal to her husband, so anything past mild flirting is "please, no." Beyond that I can't think of anything...

About them: A Warrior of Light -- there are two in this particular scenario, with the other one being Dread's tiny wonderful wife Sarai. A monk, Dread excels at unarmed combat and is teaching that to others. He tends to be the stoic and quiet type, but he's quite friendly and helpful if you need him. He excels at getting stuff off of high shelves!
Plans: Dread will be getting his AST stuff back, so now he'll be able to heal and play with cards. Yes, it's a little strange. Beyond that I'd love to keep making CR with him, particularly as involves fighting, sparring, training, or whatever the like.
CR wanted: As above: more CR in general, but also people he can train or spar with!
Things to avoid: He's very taken.

About them: HITMAN. A quiet assassin who pretends to be fairly normal while on the train and tries not to garner too much attention. He prepares his own meals despite the chore assignments but still does his team's chores. He checks on the garden boxes daily despite it being mostly unnecessary at this point. Very mission orientated, has a fairly set daily schedule he keeps to.
Plans: Not until I saw that Greenhouse did I have plans. I'm excited for it!! 47 will be organizing a section of the greenhouse for edible plants to keep them separate and easy to find. The rest (flowers and such) he'll tend once up but won't hard organize, promise. lol. He will probably re-plant some of the garden boxes with the new flower seeds so each of the carriages will still have garden boxes but now all edibles will be in the greenhouse instead of the rock garden, yay.
CR wanted: Obligatory anything here! He needs a push or two for conversation and repeated interactions. He won't call you a friend but he could essentially use some friends. He's cool with anyone on Red team so far. Uh, he needs to meet more of and be befriended by the ever-growing gardening crew.
Things to avoid: Not really anything here.

Tony Stark + Heiji Hattori + Prompto Argentum

Character: Tony Stark
About them: MCU, Tony is from the second in between putting on the infinity stones glove and snapping his fingers. Spoiler alert! He knows he dies when he goes home, so he's not in any hurry to go home and actually likes it on the train most of the time. He's the self-proclaimed leader of the train. He's involved in a lot of stuff on board! He's constantly repairing and building things in his office (aka work room/ space, lab, 'his room'), teaching a beginners and advanced science class a couple times a week in the standard car, hanging out with the kids, and sparring often in the gym.
Plans: This month Tony's going to focus on his classes and I think I might set up a poker game sometime.
CR wanted: Anything! He makes terrible first impressions but tends to grow on people. Just don't be shy if he's an ass to you initially


Character: Heiji Hattori
About them: Detective Conan; He's a high school detective from Osaka, Japan. He has an accent and darker skin than most Japanese natives. He's been involved in several pranks on board but otherwise he tends to be pretty quiet.
Plans: One prank planned for Peter. Just don't tell him that ok?
CR wanted: Anything! He gets bored.


Character: Prompto Argentum
About them: FFXV; He's one of three companions to King Noctis and is known for his peppy personality and enthusiasm. He's an expert gunman and Crownsguard, but technically the weakest of the companions. He's coming from his lowest canon point when (from his perspective) Noct abruptly turns on him and throws him off a train. He's coming in injured and depressed, but with the help of Ignis and others he's going to bounce back pretty fast.
Plans: Meet people and goof off with them

Things to avoid: Fair warning, if you're mean to him you'll have an angry Ignis and Gladio on your hands.

About them: Disney's Descendants: Disney Villains got thrown onto a prison island. Got it on. Had kids. Kids turned out far better than their parents. Evie's one of them. Her mother is the Evil Queen. Evie's just HBIC with a massive heart of gold.
Plans: Nothing too exciting except for cute shit with one Tobias. She'll probably start offering cooking lessons for anyone that wants them, and maybe she can start working with Charlotte to make clothes for people? Could be fun!

About them: An OC that's also... an android fucked up with demonic possession. About them: Shadow-god serving child who is hiding literally everything about herself so that she can try and not be murdered by these light and good people on this train. Has somehow through her attempts at pretending to be a sweet little girl won herself friends, allies and people who promise to protect her. She doesn't know what to do about any of that! She has accepted that Peter is her friend so if you are mean to him, expect an angry brat with a knife.

About them: Taiki is a kirin (think unicorn) from a world where each kingdom has a kirin to channel the will of the gods. Literally everything in his life has been a series of disasters and so he is a benevolent, kind creature mixed with a paranoid, distrusting teenager. Taiki is what you get when you mix a complete lack of self worth with ridiculously high levels of will power.
Plans: He's still pretty new and he's over the illness that he had when he arrived. So meeting people, learning more.
