Welcome to the Voidtrecker. This is, for better or worse, a new world for all of us and we’re stuck here. In order to detect patterns in these abductions, get important safety information, and other important details for living in this community I’m conducting a survey. Please answer everything to the best of your ability. If you have any questions about the form please consult whoever is standing next to you other than me, because you should be intelligent enough to answer these very straight forward questions.

Year you’re from: 2019.
How many months in your world’s calendar? 12 months. Gregorian calendar, mostly. (Can add description if necessary.)
How many days in the months? They alternate between 30 and 31, with the exception of February, the second month, which is usually 28 days, and 29 days each leap year (every 4 years).
What age is considered 'adult' in your culture? By personal culture: that concept does not exist. Humans, on the other hand, have had differing opinions, relating to their own kind.

What is the most advanced technological device in your world? I'm afraid I'm not quite sure. It's quite difficult to keep up. (If possible, I would defer this question to Anthony Crowley, as we have the same world of origin and he's more given to modern forms of technology.)
Is this train something new or are there trains like this in your world? One that goes through the Void? The first steam locomotive was first invented in 1802. They're quite common all over the world. Far quicker nowadays, no longer run on steam.
What is a common piece of technology you use regularly? Bakelite telephone.
Are you skilled/ comfortable with using technology? I'm afraid I'm not very given to most modern forms of technology. I do find my way with a computer when necessary.
Have you identified any objects here on the train you need or would like a tutorial on? The safety control apparatus and the information and communication points seem to be rather important, and I would like to learn how to use them correctly.

Does your world use magic? Yes, quite a lot of it.

Is your magic based on a device/ talisman/ lineage/ race? I suppose you could say it has to do with what I am, although my kind isn't the only one who has access to magic. Different forms of magic do exist.
Was magic common place or required to be kept secret? It will depend on context. Angels and demons nowadays try to keep their identities secret from humans, as their presence may cause some disturbances that would not allow for the best conditions to do what they must do. Other creatures also keep themselves mostly under wraps. Human magic users have not been well received by their own kind as a whole in the last couple of thousand years.
Are there gods worshiped or recognized where you are from? One God. While there are other creatures that do call themselves gods, with varying degrees of power, She is The Creator.
Are these gods beings of great power that one could meet or are they purely spiritual/ faith based? She does exist, yes. But there are many other faiths and believes in different gods and figures.

What was happening when you were taken from your time and woke up on the train platform? I'm afraid I didn't come here directly from my world. We've spent an unclear amount of time on yet another world beyond this and beyond our own. Before I found myself on the platform, that other world was set to be ended by those that governed it, due to mistakes having been made. Fate was uncertain. I believe we were just settling down to try and get through the night before we showed up here.

What special skills do you have, particularly fighting or military skills? Magic, as previously mentioned, with a multitude of uses. I rather avoid physical confrontations, but, if I truly must, I will lend aid.

There is a small creature that accompanied us from the previous world we are in, and some may find it a bit strange or upsetting. You may hear it breathe quite harshly, or move about the cabin or the train. It also has the tendency to produce copious amounts of slime from time to time, so I would be careful about any items left about, and check your bed covers before lying down.

[ Roland takes the longest to answer this, and in a rare moment of indecisiveness, he writes a number down before promptly scratching it off and writing something completely different. His previous answer is indecipherable. ] I'm of legal, acceptable, adult age.
How many years is the average lifespan of your particular species? Around 70 to 80 years.

[ Roland will once again, take a longer time to answer this part of the form. He decides to be honest when writing down his answer. ] Last I remember, it was 2018 in my original world. The world I came from before coming to the platform has...a different measurement of time that I'm not confident enough I can describe to someone else. Sorry.
How many months in your world’s calendar? My original world had 12 months.
How many days in the months? My original world had 29-31 days.
What age is considered 'adult' in your culture? Depends on the country, and for my case, it would depend on the state. 18 to 21 would be a good range.




Technology:


What is the most advanced technological device in your world? One of the countries allied under our kingdom is developing a Perpetual Fission Reactor drawn from their natural resource's energy, namely magical ore. This is by no means exhaustive, but personally this was what impressed me the most. Its developer was also able to use a miniature version of the core to power an aerial mode of transportation.
Is this train something new or are there trains like this in your world? One that goes through the Void? My original world had trains. Subways. You name it. My current world does not. Not that I've seen, at least.
What is a common piece of technology you use regularly? If the Arms Band counts as magical tech, then it would be that. It stores weapons, skills, and items. If you're talking actual hardware, then the next best answer would be the Leafbook. It's a tablet connected to a network of information. Two other people I know use it more often to communicate, but it's a good place to write down your thoughts from time to time.
Are you skilled/ comfortable with using technology? If it's basic enough, sure. Anything more than that is a no-go. I'm not the tech expert on our team, unfortunately.
Have you identified any objects here on the train you need or would like a tutorial on? The watch. The SCA.


Magic/ Spiritual:


Does your world use magic? Heavily.
Do you use magic? No, but somehow the Arms Band grants me skills that lends magic-like properties to an attack. I don't think that's to my credit, though.
Is your magic based on a device/ talisman/ lineage/ race? It seems like all of the above is correct, for my current world.
Was magic common place or required to be kept secret? No, wizards and spell-casters are regular old folk like you and me. No hiding. No secrets.
Are there gods worshiped or recognized where you are from? No, but there are Kingmakers, and that's just about as close as you can get to one. Kingmakers are spiritual beings that give a King the right, legitimacy, and power to rule over a realm. Without a Kingmaker, you don't have a kingdom, and you can't call yourself a monarch.
Are these gods beings of great power that one could meet or are they purely spiritual/ faith based? From experience, a Kingmaker's powers are based off of two things: the strength of the challenger to defeat them in combat, and the loyalty of a king's citizens as their realm grows. The stronger the Kingsbond, the stronger the King and his Kingmaker. The more corrupt the ruler, and the less the citizens believe in them, the weaker the Kingsbond. The weaker the kingdom.

What was happening when you were taken from your time and woke up on the train platform? My king defeated a resurrected evil and convinced him to create a new kingdom, rather than sacrificing innocent souls to revive his fallen one. The Declaration of Interdependence is finally complete, and the kingdom of Evermore is planning a unification ceremony.
What were some of the recent big events that have occurred before you woke? I met my soulmate. We beat him. And before this train ever pulled me along for the ride, I felt the magic that brought me to Evermore come back. It was...calling me. I think it was telling me I could go home, or whatever's left of home.
If you had not been taken at that point in time, would you still be alive? Yeah. Yeah, I think would have been fine.

Well, I saw a train in one of the worlds that a vision was from, but it took the spirits of the dead to the next plane. It also went berserk and someone had to suplex it. What were some of the recent big events that have occurred before you woke? The fall of the Aldore Empire. The purge of the Sinister Six.

Skills Many, I've trained the great heroes and mages of Lapis for the past 6 or 700 years.


What special skills do you have, particularly fighting or military skills? Once I was Veritas of the Bolt, one of the great Dark Knights of Aldore. I've also been the Delta star of the orders, and the founder of the nation of Mysadia.
Do you know first aid or have healing abilities? No that's what my assistant Ayeka was for. Thank the spirits she isn't here though.
