Train Questionnaire
Thanks for participating but to protect my sanity, no more questionnaires will be accepted.
Welcome to the Voidtrecker. This is, for better or worse, a new world for all of us and we’re stuck here. In order to detect patterns in these abductions, get important safety information, and other important details for living in this community I’m conducting a survey. Please answer everything to the best of your ability. If you have any questions about the form please consult whoever is standing next to you other than me, because you should be intelligent enough to answer these very straight forward questions.
All information presented here will be kept strictly confidential and the purpose is to collect data.

What’s your name? Roland.
What species are you? Human.
What’s your birthday/ years you’ve been alive?
[ Roland takes the longest to answer this, and in a rare moment of indecisiveness, he writes a number down before promptly scratching it off and writing something completely different. His previous answer is indecipherable. ] I'm of legal, acceptable, adult age.
How many years is the average lifespan of your particular species? Around 70 to 80 years.
Year you’re from:
[ Roland will once again, take a longer time to answer this part of the form. He decides to be honest when writing down his answer. ] Last I remember, it was 2018 in my original world. The world I came from before coming to the platform has...a different measurement of time that I'm not confident enough I can describe to someone else. Sorry.
How many months in your world’s calendar? My original world had 12 months.
How many days in the months? My original world had 29-31 days.
What age is considered 'adult' in your culture? Depends on the country, and for my case, it would depend on the state. 18 to 21 would be a good range.
Technology:
What is the most advanced technological device in your world? One of the countries allied under our kingdom is developing a Perpetual Fission Reactor drawn from their natural resource's energy, namely magical ore. This is by no means exhaustive, but personally this was what impressed me the most. Its developer was also able to use a miniature version of the core to power an aerial mode of transportation.
Is this train something new or are there trains like this in your world? One that goes through the Void? My original world had trains. Subways. You name it. My current world does not. Not that I've seen, at least.
What is a common piece of technology you use regularly? If the Arms Band counts as magical tech, then it would be that. It stores weapons, skills, and items. If you're talking actual hardware, then the next best answer would be the Leafbook. It's a tablet connected to a network of information. Two other people I know use it more often to communicate, but it's a good place to write down your thoughts from time to time.
Are you skilled/ comfortable with using technology? If it's basic enough, sure. Anything more than that is a no-go. I'm not the tech expert on our team, unfortunately.
Have you identified any objects here on the train you need or would like a tutorial on? The watch. The SCA.
Magic/ Spiritual:
Does your world use magic? Heavily.
Do you use magic? No, but somehow the Arms Band grants me skills that lends magic-like properties to an attack. I don't think that's to my credit, though.
Is your magic based on a device/ talisman/ lineage/ race? It seems like all of the above is correct, for my current world.
Was magic common place or required to be kept secret? No, wizards and spell-casters are regular old folk like you and me. No hiding. No secrets.
Are there gods worshiped or recognized where you are from? No, but there are Kingmakers, and that's just about as close as you can get to one. Kingmakers are spiritual beings that give a King the right, legitimacy, and power to rule over a realm. Without a Kingmaker, you don't have a kingdom, and you can't call yourself a monarch.
Are these gods beings of great power that one could meet or are they purely spiritual/ faith based? From experience, a Kingmaker's powers are based off of two things: the strength of the challenger to defeat them in combat, and the loyalty of a king's citizens as their realm grows. The stronger the Kingsbond, the stronger the King and his Kingmaker. The more corrupt the ruler, and the less the citizens believe in them, the weaker the Kingsbond. The weaker the kingdom.
Is there anything that could be provided to you to assist in your religious practices on board? I'm good, thanks.
Inventory:
What items were in your rucksack upon waking? Specifically, did anything come with you from your home world? If so, what was it? Disclaimer: I will not attempt to take your item away. My Arms Band seems to have remained on my person. Its contents were not removed, everything is still intact.
Medical
Do you have any medical conditions or issues that are being treated by a doctor? No.
Do you have any known allergies or special dietary needs? No.
Companions/World Events
Is there anyone from your world here? Were they here before you got here or arrived at the same time? Doesn't look like it.
Has there been a war recently? Were you involved in it? Yes and yes, where I just came from.
Are there known threats to your city, country, world, galaxy, etc? Sure, but I don't think they came with me, here. Thankfully.
What was happening when you were taken from your time and woke up on the train platform? My king defeated a resurrected evil and convinced him to create a new kingdom, rather than sacrificing innocent souls to revive his fallen one. The Declaration of Interdependence is finally complete, and the kingdom of Evermore is planning a unification ceremony.
What were some of the recent big events that have occurred before you woke? I met my soulmate. We beat him. And before this train ever pulled me along for the ride, I felt the magic that brought me to Evermore come back. It was...calling me. I think it was telling me I could go home, or whatever's left of home.
If you had not been taken at that point in time, would you still be alive? Yeah. Yeah, I think would have been fine.
Skills
What special skills do you have, particularly fighting or military skills? I have experience in both. Two-handed sword fighting, and adept use of pistols.
Do you know first aid or have healing abilities? I know first aid. I don't have innate healing abilities.
Everything Else
Are there any chores on the list you'd be willing to do if someone else finds their assigned chores particularly disdainful? Or can you be bribed to do both? Sure. Let's just say I'm used to keeping busy. And you don't have to bribe me. I don't condone that. Just ask if I can cover for you.
Do we need to warn your roommates about anything? I.e. You're a nude sleepwalker, you sleep while screaming like a banshee, etc. Heh. I'm not that interesting.
Are you a moron? Y/N Wow. Real polite. No.
If Y, do you understand that leadership won't take you too seriously, you dumbass?
Are these questions really necessary?!N/A because I didn't say yes, and to be honest, I'm just glad there's already an existing system of leadership in a place like this anyway. I know for a fact that the hardest thing in the world is to assume authority over such a broad citizenry. Did anyone from your universe turn up at the train station this time? If so, who? No. And I hope they never hop aboard. My king still has a lot of work to do.
