Fighting Headstrong in our Final Hour: OOC Plotting.
FINAL MISSION: OOC DETAILS
Welcome to the final Mission! As all other missions it will be in three parts, and I am going to give the dates here- though, it might change depending on factors.
DATES AND LOGS: We have a preparation post up already. There will be a starting log on the 17th September, and then Ongoing on the 26th September. A Finale post will go up on 7th October. A conclusion post will go up on the 17th October. There will then be a further conclusion post for the game on the 24th with the game officially ending on the 31st October
THE MISSION: The train will return to the void base where they will be called for a meeting. The minstry will explain the plan they have to solve the problems of the shapes in the void and the time paradox caused by the previous voidtreckers. They have come up with a mission that will hopefully deal with everything together, which the details for the missions are below. They have been separated into teams, but your characters can decide to go where they wish- they can make the decision in character on the preparation log as they hear the plans and take part in the preparation.
Please note that there might be some changes to plans depending on discussions on that post. These will, of course, be made clear in the subsequent mission posts.

On day 5, the Ministry and scientists onboard the void base will call a meeting. They will explain the plan. Essentially their aims are to deal with the shapes in the void, close the rift so no more shapes can enter the void, and deal with the issues of the time paradox caused by the previous voidtreckers.

The aims of the mission are simple, if incredibly difficult. The shapes currently occupying the void must be dealt with. The rift we found in the void must be closed. The time anomaly caused by my previous crew must be sealed. They plan to redirect the energy caused by changing time to close the rift.
This mission is larger than a catastrophe mission. There is no risk assessment I can make that is adequate to the dangers you will face. The ministry have assured me that any of my crew who wish to remain on the base to not take this tremendous risk, will be allowed to, and with no judgement.
Red TeamOrange Team
Close the Rift in the void
- Travel with the Inspectors to the rift in the void.
- Using inspector suit technology set charges up around the rift.
- Use the surge of energy sent from the Orange team to seal the rift.
Blue Team
Prepare the site of system #1015 to recieve a surge of energy and redirect it to the tear in the void
- Set up charges at the site of system #1015, using maps from the voidtrecker express.
- Be ready to receive the surge of energy caused by the changing of time.
- Redirect that energy to Red team.
Purple Team
Rescue the survivors of the shape attack on system #1015
- Use experimental technology to anchor through the void and the passage of time to the voidtrecker express.
- Convince those who survived the attack on system #1015 to not go through with their plan.
- Anchor them and bring them safely to the present.
Notes Be very careful my Voidtreckers. Look after each other.
Deal with the shapes inside the Void
- Go to the fake system created by the entity known as Chaos, enter and try and get their attention.
- Convince them to help contain the shapes.
- Activate the life beacon, drawing the shapes to the system and seal them inside.
As the teams will be mostly split, this information is to help you decide where best to send your character, and to hopefully help for planning.

RED TEAM: Red Team will travel to the rift in the void with the inspectors, using their own well-protected craft to ensure no issues in reaching their destination. To do their job, they will be given the same suits as what the inspectors wear, allowing them some protection from being out in the void, and also to allow them to 'void walk' -- essentially, to move while outside a craft.
They will be setting charges in and around the rift, as well as working to open a mental link with those on the orange team task. This will result in them receiving a large surge of energy to close the rift.
There are many dangers. The shapes need to be hidden from, and even in inspector suits, being out in the void will be disturbing. What is more the rift in the void makes reality odd, be prepared for a lot of reality warping with a real risk of being lost through a void rift.
ORANGE TEAM: Voidtreckers will travel to the site of system #1015 which is the site of a time paradox. They will set charges around the area using charts from the voidtrecker express. They will work on opening a mental link with those on the red team task which will result in them sending a surge of energy over to close the rift.
Time is very much in flux here, expect strange ageing and de-ageing shenanigans as well as time loops and other problems that will make setting charges difficult to say the least.
PURPLE TEAM: Voidtreckers will travel to fake diagad, where the Ministry will open the seal so that they may enter. Here they will deal with whatever Chaos throws at them, whilst setting up the life beacon, more sealing charges and trying to get the attention of Chaos.
Expect illusions, lots of monsters and shifting settings as Chaos throws the might of their imagination at them once again. As a treat.
BLUE TEAM: Voidtreckers will use experimental time technology with existing anchoring technology to travel to the Voidtrecker Express after the destruction of system #1015 but before the survivors use time travel to try and save them. This will involve passing through the void and time.
Expect weird snippets of voidtrecker past, changing landscapes and a maze of imagery to get through to reach the place and time that they aim for.
Ongoing
Ongoing will not be a huge second thread, since we expect there will be a lot to do in the starting log. However, ongoing will be the place for some NPC threads and setting up for the final moment where the rift will be sealed.
Over in fake Diagad voidtreckers will face Chaos and have one chance to convince them to go along with their plan. On board the past Voidtrecker Express, they will have the opportunity to convince the crew of who they are and why they should go with them rather than completing their plan.
Meanwhile the link will open for red and orange, and there will be an opportunity for some inter team communication as the surge of energy flows through them.
Finale
All the voidtreckers will be reunited in a final battle for their very existence.

Specifically in your case - this sense of surreality can be extended to all the senses, so not having sight will not mean that Rezo will be unable to fully take part in the prompts here.

Additionally, it says that those who were good at anchoring and reaching out will be better at opening a mental link. Does this mean that someone who was absent for it will be bad at it?

Anchoring is a way of moving through the void 'spiritually'. It anchors a person to their craft whilst allowing their mind to move.

Someone who was absent won't necessarily be bad at it. If they are someone who is good at focusing their mind or who finds it easy to have strong bonds with others they will take to it easily. Essentially they are reaching their conciousness through the void to link with another- in a way that doesn't mean they have to have that sort of power in their home world to do it. If that sounds like something your character would be good at they can absolutely find it easy. As ever working together is key so even those less skilled can work with others to achieve the goal.

Entrapta will offer all of her past research up to the tether guys (about cure-mo, the soul gems, the first one's crystals and all the crystals she got, all the scans that her and Trunks took on the magical scanner) so that if they can't get their original bodies back, she can give them a way for souls to form new solid bodies. (Not quite the original, but she would want to help even temporarily).
ADDED QUESTION FOR YONDU: Can he ask for enough information to keep track of whether the experimental time travel tech is working, since he's decently tech savvy? For the sake of top-leveling and having something to do with himself.

Wei Wuxian would go with Purple to play flute and converse with Chaos again, though I'm not going to be around to do much about that for at least a week, perhaps even two. But he'd lean into how they parted/conversed at the end of the false Diagabad contact time in order to help demonstrate "this is how you and us can work to prevent that tragedy from recurring." Not revenge, just good planning!

Kiyoiri doesn't expect a response for this, but the timing suits too well to pass up- if she leaves that box of her homemade doujin in clear offering, after verbally explaining what it is, will Chaos like it?
Again, no response expected, but it's nice if they like a new set of stories to enjoy.
(It's a series of doujin she and a friend she has since likely lost created over a series of time loops, gradually improving over time; Kiyoiri would tell the tale behind each one's creation, but the final one is the most heartbearing, coming very directly from her friend's soul. Kiyoiri would say that her friend left to wander the world after that, shortly before it was 'lost'- a matter she empathized with Chaos on last time. Mostly she just thinks they might appreciate them.)
