February Information and CR Meme!
We hope everyone had a fun month! Some information for your ongoing journey.
IC Month
This month is the month of Poi. Days can be found here.
The thought of the month is "If you light a lamp for somebody, it will also brighten your own path".
This means: Any thread where you tag into another character's post or top level in January or February will earn you two bonus points.
Threads that fulfil this criteria can be submitted during February AC. You may find it easier to keep a tracking list of threads for easy compiling of bonus AC.
The ingredient of the month is Corned Beef. Recipes are here. All the ingredients can be found in the storeroom, refreshed at the platform, and characters are welcome to make other food with them.
This month’s chore assignments are:
Orange: Cleaning bedrooms and passenger areas
Blue: Meal Preparation
Purple: Laundry
Red: Cleaning kitchen and bathrooms
The Train
When passengers return to the train from the platform they will find a new carriage has been added. The art carriage:
As a reminder, you can list things that characters have added to the train here. Just comment under the header of the carriage to which you are adding. There is also a handy spreadsheet here!
The following changes have been voted on this month:
~ The cinema now has a stock of popcorn kernels to go with the popcorn machine, this will be refreshed every platform day though it will require someone to move the kernels from the luggage carriage to the cinema.
~ The stores now have a selection of fruit and herbal teas as well as vegan substitutes for any of the basics and the monthly recipe food.
~ The stone garden now has weather. Next to the door at the front end of the train there is a panel simply labelled 'weather'. This allows for some basic options: rain, snow, wind and heat and random. The 'weather' comes from pipes at the top of the carriage and is a bit clumsy but will make weather effects throughout the stone garden.
~ There is scaffolding against the walls of the Greenhouse carriage, it goes up to where the ceiling begins to curve. There are walkways and ladders so gardeners can tend to their crops. If a character is growing crops let us know here!
~ The beds are all fitted with sheets in team colours and each has a comfortable fluffy pillow with a pillowcase in team colours.
~ Each morning after the platform as well as the morning announcement characters will wake to a small panel opening above their bed and a wrapped candy dropping onto their pillow.
All this has been updated on the settings and gameplay pages.

The TDM will be posted on the 17th. Reserves will open on the 17th. Apps and. AC are between the 20th and the 27th February.

~ A reminder about the VOTING POOL. Exactly how it works is explained in detail on that page but it is a way for passengers to band together to buy larger or longer term items, including carriages themselves. Everyone gets 5 votes to start and new characters will be allowed to swap their initial 3 points for a vote if wish in their first month only.
~ We have been trying to do EMP regularly- please let us know any cast mates you would like in the thread below!

The Train
When passengers return to the train from the platform they will find a new carriage has been added. The art carriage:
This carriage is a single carriage, with the standard corridor with doors on each end. To one side there are a set of tables and chairs, with two large sets of cupboards. In one is a variety of paper types, plain and coloured, along with painting pots (oil, acrylic, watercolour, and gouache), brushes, charcoals, pencils, and tools for erasing and sharpening. There are also ink pens and brushes, as well as manga screentones.
In the next cupboard is a space for putting away easels inside, as well as palettes, and also a selection of different sized canvases. Some clay can be found on the higher shelf. There's a sink set in the corner for washing up at, and some aprons with a train symbol on the breast.
On the right side is a larger table, another cupboard, and two clips that hold in place removable mannequins. Here people can work on sewing, with the cupboard holding a simple selection of sewing needles, tape measures, sharp-tipped scissors, a basic selection of threads, seam rippers, and whatever else you may find in a beginner's sewing kit. Basic white fabric is also supplied, as well as one with a simple train-pattern.
Around the centre is a free space, usually occupied by pottery wheels. A whiteboard sits in plain view on the wall with marker pens, as well as a small bookcase next to it. Very basic drawing books can be found here, with room for passengers to add their own. The walls are in pastel colouring, even the doors, of soft oranges, pinks and blues.

Character: Danny Fenton
About them: Teenage half-ghost superhero with terrible decision making skills
Plans: Avoiding Razzy’s plans to talk him into getting therapy. Improving his fighting skills and control of his powers, since at this point he’s mostly sure that he’s going to be walking into a war when he gets home.
For the event Danny will be headed home, He's been very worried, so time to deal with the chaos of an Amity Park that had been missing Phantom for a year. May be open to worldhopping towards the end of the event.
CR wanted: He could really use more mentor-type friends, especially people who have experience with the superhero life. Also more teenage friends and people to practice fighting skills with.
Character: Will Stanton
About them: Solemn wizard child with far too many responsibilities. He was recruited into a magic war at the age of 11, and he is now 13 and the only one of his kind left in his world.
Plans: Find friends. Will just arrived last month, from a canon point just after all of the others of his kind decided to leave the world and all of his human friends forgot all about magic and their adventures together. He was left behind as the only person left in his world who remembers. He is terribly lonely, although he will likely not admit to this.
For the event Will will likely either get stuck on the platform or choose to remain on the train. He'll be available for worldhopping.
CR wanted: Other kids, adult friends, people to nerd about magic and anthropology and languages with.
