Test Drive 028
Welcome to the Test Drive Meme! Here is the place to see how your character might fit the setting, grab samples and have fun!
1. Post with your character, including their name and series in the subject. We’ve written out some prompts but feel free to make up your own, you have a whole train to play with!
2. Assume they've been around long enough for threads to jump right into the action.
3. Have lots of fun.
Happy testing!
Knights Quest
Upstairs in the games carriage there is a VR game set. There are enough headsets and controllers for four people to play. One of the games is Knight Quest!
A game that can either be played on single adventure mode or with the other three headsets in a campaign mode. It is a typical fantasy rpg about a young hero who is searching for a magical item to save the world. The story is simple but fun and engaging. The hero has a sword and shield and fighting in this game requires some physical skill, but practice makes perfect!
Right now you stand at the entrance of a huge fortress, beyond these doors is your foe, the three headed dragon! Who are your party members? Are you ready? The door is opening. It is now or never.
Chores
Chores are part of life on board the Voidtrecker Express. Each team is assigned a task each month: Cleaning kitchen and bathrooms, cleaning bedrooms and passenger areas, laundry and cooking.
Obviously the only thing enforcing these chores in a passengers own conscience and their fellow travellers.
Are you diligent or do you shirk? Do you try swapping your tasks with someone else? Or just outright bribing someone to do your work for you? Work together to get the task done or try and persuade a lazy team member to pull their weight.
Ash Trail
Histri is a formidable, inhospitable world. The land is dry and cracked with rivers of lava flowing between unstable crusts. It might seem impossible that any life can exist here at all. Yet it does. Lizards, wurms, large spiders and Gri- meter tall orange lizard-like people who do not quite have language yet.
The main community of Gri is under threat, there is a large volcano that is due to erupt, and the main home of the Gri lies in the foothills, in the direct path of any erruption.
Team One
A vital task is moving the Gri! For that there will need to be those who can convince them to move, explain the danger and help with the task of relocating people who are only beginning to form communities. They distrust strangers. Any other creatures that can be herded should be as well, it won't be possible to save every creature but every animal saved is a victory here. Be wary not all the animals are friendly...
Team Two
Of course there is no point moving people and creatures if you have no where to move them to. Team Two's job is to locate a suitable place. It might be difficult to ascertain suitable in this hellish landscape but as long as it is out of the range of the volcano.
There will be dangers to contend with on the way and many obstacles in the way of unstable ground and lava rivers to move around.
Team Three
Of course if this were an ordinary volcano it would be far too easy. Before the ash and the lava come fire elementals. These demonic looking creatures burn whatever they touch and seem to exist only to cause chaos.
They crawl from the volcano and seek to spread out over the land. Water attacks work best but they do go down under normal and magical damage eventually. Killing them fast is the best way to avoid disaster.
no subject
"By all means," he says, taking a cross-legged seat on top of the washer he's just loaded, tail hanging off one side. "But you're saying that no one we would know has created anything like this? Even the Allagans?"
Assuming the Garleans are capable of producing anything that functions without combat capabilities, that is.
no subject
"No," Elidibus finally answers. "As civilizations grow, technology will improve. I'm sure Allag or the Empire have had their own devices for improving menial chores."
The Ascian then gestures at the machine on which Zeka sits. "But neither the Allagans or the Empire number among the train's passengers. I'm merely pointing out these machines are familiar to several who are here."
Zeka is studied further before finally Elidibus adds, "But I would have thought that the obvious reason for the answer I gave. Is there perhaps something else you want to discuss instead?"
