About you: She/her, GMT+8, 30-something internet dinosaur working full-time so apologies for my snail pace and sporadic tags. My big name fandoms are Game of Thrones and Star Wars, but I love some obscure and old canons like The Great Library and Lunar. I nerd over history, mythology and musicals, and I love playing twins (like this gal!) and AUs.

Character: Cleopatra Selene II (AU)
Canon: The Shards of Heaven trilogy, a historical fantasy series about the rise of Roman Empire — but mostly centered on the Shards, magical stones with unearthly, destructive elemental powers said to be the broken pieces of the Throne of God. Her AU's a divergence from the ending of the second book, where she's the only one who manages to escape the demons that were summoned in Carthage.
Cabin and team: Upper 1B, Red Team
Little bit about them: Teenage widowed queen of Mauretania and the last princess of the Ptolemaic kingdom of Egypt. Cleopatra's daughter, orphaned at 10 and hostaged adopted by her family's conqueror Octavian, arranged marriage'd and later wed at 15 to the conquered Berber prince Juba. Her younger version was on the train a few months back; this is the one who was at the 4th wall event and hung out with the YGOs, while running an antique shop as a front to her underground intel gathering operations. She's older and sadder now — her revenge scheme absolutely did not go well — but she's a survivor through and through, headstrong, stubborn, and deeply loyal and protective.
Hopes and dreams: Parental figures, uncles and aunts, siblings... basically everyone adopt her? And just let her be young and free instead of politicking and wallowing in her guilt and being 30 at 18. Also boys to eventually crush on and flirt with and maybe even get kissy faced with, lmao!

But, yes. WE'RE HAPPY TO BE BACK.

does conan need help in investigating said mysteries, because selene will be up for it. as long as it doesn't involve summoning demons.

Oh! Its been a long time since I've thought about Khu. Its always fun to meet up with people again.

Haha, hes always glad to pick up another Watson. And he can probably promise it doesn't involve summoning demons, considering they already had a demon world mission not long ago.

Thanks to this last mission he can now talk to ghosts while on missions, though. He will be extremely unhappy when he realizes that he didn't lose this ability.

selene's not as perky but she'll be to investigate things and get themselves in trouble in the process... though she might kind of boss him around occasionally since she was raised a princess and all, oops >:3

Haha, sounds like they'll be great friends (running into trouble). Conan has practice with being a brat at people trying to boss him around.

I've also got Danny Fenton (Danny Phantom) and Takato and Guilmon (Digimon) here, so they may come by to bother her.

Hello Kazie! I'm Usagi, I have Kiyoiri here of course, but also Jonouchi (a ygo ohoh), Emporio, and Potato! Selene already had my eye just from the historic standpoint but reading the rest about this particular version of her has me quite excited suffice to say (but also oh god train let her be a teenager,,,)

honestly i read abt the -real history- result of the twins orphaning and got crushed, life be better to selene, please,,,,

Anyway looking above it seems I should note that Kiyoiri looks....basically just like a somewhat 'older' (HAHA) Conan without glasses, when looking just at the face, so that might be a thing,

hi usagi! I LOVED POTATO when i had jaisyn a few months back (i just had to say it ♥) and now i'm absolutely looking forward to threading more with you and yours :D

i love playing selene and this version of her in particular. her canon's done a great job at incorporating magic and fantasy into history, so i'm excited to share that with others too. also that FGO thing, man... straight to the heart ;~;

thankfully life gets better for her after she marries juba and goes to rule mauretania! apparently they're one of the few real life couples who made an arranged marriage work, plus selene was even an influential queen as far as historians have discovered.

and oooh. conan is selene's roommate, she's going to notice that eventually 👀

I'M GLAD YOU LOVE POTATO she was such a good app choice I'm glad I got enabled into bringing her tbh....

AND YEAH...YEAH F/GO manages to have a very delightful balance of 'a direct shot to the heart' while also somehow being made of a massive amount of comedy.

i mean the gal looks like this for cryin' out loud....Honestly cleopatra's deal ends up really funny in future appearances entirely because Caesar has been around....longer. And...he sure looks A WAY, much to her chagrin,

(And then it gets tragic again when you read their bonus biography chunks ahahahaha FGO how do you keep doing this to me)

and god yeah, much as the end of selene's reign was a sharp one, at least she had a damn good run while she could >:'[

But yesssssss hehehehe counting on that...
