Hello, Trainlings! Checking back through the comms, it looks like the last time we had a "Handwave/Assume CR" Meme was back in January, so here we are almost in July, bringing the information forward!

New Players and New Characters, this means you, too! We want you in on this meme as it's forward facing for what your characters will do during train-bound downtime!

Handwaved & Assumed CR Meme

Our characters are blessed, or cursed, with confined living spaces, and have all their own schedules and rhythms to dictate their daily lives. So how do they all interact with each other? What do characters with pets or companion animals do? What do those pets or animal companions themselves do?

This meme is a chance to see how characters may recognise each other or their pets/companions in passing, where they may be sharing spaces at similar times, or have met other passengers, allowing the kickstarting of CR without having to play out every first meeting or smaller interaction on train. Who has the time for that? (Not me, I cry emphatically, not me.)

✨ Sleeping habits?

Tidus shares a double room with Inigo, with some nice bedsheets and a few things in their cubby-holes. It's tidy enough. He doesn't care if the sheets are wrinkly.

✨ Room use habits?

Tidus hangs out in the room now and then, playing a handheld game or sometimes going in there to read magazines. He's easier to find out than in, but if he's been in any of the gyms for a length of time, he'll unwind after a shower in his room. The room's got a few small flower pots (not his) and a projector that changes how the room looks sometimes. Fancy.

✨ Bathing habits?

Tidus is a regular user of the showers because he likes getting hot and sweaty playing them ball and sword games (or, as some people call it, training). He has a few fragrant soaps and oils, but he doesn't bother with the oils too often. He'll hang out in the spa sometimes, but he wishes it was a pool. :(

✨ Chore habits?

Tidus will do chores depending on his mood. He's fine with most of them but hates doing laundry for the entire train, and so usually avoids that chore. He'll help with chopping for cooking, but doesn't take over the kitchen because everyone else already does!!

✨ Eating habits?

Tidus will always be around the dining carriage for meal times, and has snacks on him. Sometimes he'll have a smoothie for breakfast or lunch and then eat later, depending on his plans - but for the most part, he makes do with what's around. Give him food, he's not picky.

✨ Exercise habits?

Tidus likes exercising, and does it pretty regular. He's not strict about it, but he runs on the treadmills and is picking up doing dancing exercises with Inigo these days. Absolutely loves sports, come and sports with him. Tries to meditate, but he's been getting pretty lax with it...oop...sorry green teacher...

✨ Entertainment habits?

Sportssportsposrts. Other than that, Tidus reads magazines (only), plays handheld games and the VR, the arcade machine, and loves to hang out and chat with others. He can be found often in the sports gym, games or movies. He's also been slowly trying to learn how to play the guitar...!!! But he's better at listening to music.

✨ Media preferences?

Magazines for reading, and his favourite movie genres are action and comedy (and sports). He's not big on war movies or anything too serious. Touching moments threaten to make him tear up.

✨ Notable train-bound activities?

Tidus is a social guy who'll stop and chat with his friends, or even walk and talk with them. He'll have music going in his ear buds, but even when he's listening to music, he rarely gives off the aura of 'don't bother'. Legs kicked up on the tables in the standard coach or sprawled on the couch, he's just chillin'.

✨ Notable physical traits/scents?

Bleached blond hair with brown roots, tanned skin and a swimmer's physique (at least, Tidus still hopes). He wears non-trained issue clothing which usually consists of knee-length shorts, casual clothing. Wears trainers and always wears his SCA. He has an earpiercing and is always wearing this silver necklace.

✨ Notable non-physical traits?

Depending on how adept a person is at reading one's living energy, Tidus both feels human, but also off. He's a dream human made tangible with the physical world, but he's only being kept together by his SCA. If he takes it off, he'll disappear. Technically, he has a soul, and the energy that 'makes' him is the same as any living being where he comes from. He's lived a full life.

✨ Fun train-related character trivia tidbit(s)?

Tidus will leave every grievance he has with the train, no matter how big or small. He's helped the kids (Romeo and Madoka) in attempting to get an art carriage, but will admit to personally wanting a pool car. He helped set up mission supplies with Lightning, and he'll spend points for them. He's made calls before mission for people to get their supplies, cooome get your supplies!! But if someone else can come do that, that would be gr8.

✨ Free space!

Tidus has a companion called Hibber-Gibber the Hopeful, that he always calls Gibbs. Is made from water and hope, and sometimes hangs out in his heart. He also acts as a liason/go-to guy for Purple Team, but also doesn't always stick with the team on missions.
