Test Drive Meme 004

Welcome to our Test Drive Meme! Here is the place to see how your character might fit the setting, grab some samples and start having fun!

1. Post with your character. I’ve written out some prompts but feel free to make up your own, you have a whole train to play with!

2. Assume they have been around long enough for threads to jump right into the action!

3. Have much fun!

Happy testing!

Crisis On… A Zoo!

The train has recently gained a game carriage and the VR video games are proving popular. A good way to relive boredom as well as teaching some good skills.

Crisis on...This game can be played with two to four players. It is essentially a crisis simulator mixed with an escape room. You can chose the scenario (the bridge of a space ship, a camp in a jungle, a high rise building, a sailing ship etc) and you are thrown into the middle of a crisis of some kind. Teamwork and a cool head are important as is using the surroundings wisely.

Ready? Your team is at a zoo where someone is sabotaging things. Animals keep escaping from their cages and you have to figure out ways to lure them back and make the pens secure. All that whilst finding and solving clues to find the culprit before the lions escape and it’s game over!

Dressing Up

Your upcoming mission involves infiltrating a courtly function so combat trousers and hoodies will not do! Fear not though, the dressing room provides.

Ball gowns, fancy suits, wigs, splendid capes. These are perhaps not the most historically accurate costumes but let’s hope no one notices the stitch is slightly wrong!

Be as fancy as you wish or try and keep it subtle, you are meant to be infiltrating after all. Help figure out fastenings. There are even some instructions for fancy hairstyles if you want to go all out!

Courtly Chaos

Someone is trying to assassinate a king at the biggest event in the kingdom. Your job, voidtreckers, is to stop this from happening. You are at court, there is a party. Food and wine are plentiful but you have a job to do.

Team One

Someone knows something. Investigate, question, follow suspicious characters. Be subtle but try and make contacts and foil this plot before it comes to fruition.

Team Two
Can the knights even be trusted? The king needs to be protected whatever the cost. Stay close. Try not to be too obvious. Watch for threats and try not to attack any innocent courtiers who approach the king!

Team Three

Almost as important as protecting the king is protecting his reputation. The show must go on, the courtiers must not know the king is in danger. It would cause panic, distrust, could rip the court apart.

Your job is distraction, keep the party goers’ attentions so they do not notice the work of the other teams!

Bruce Banner l MCU

Crisis On:

Bruce took a deep breath and ran through every curse word he knew, which given he spoke seven languages and read another two was a lot. He wasn't much of a gamer, but he was curious about the tech used to make it so here he was facing down what looked like a very angry lion. "Are you sure having me here is a good idea," he asks his companions sounding a bit nervous.

Courtly Chaos: Team 3

Bruce stood beside the king a calm presence. He knew he didn't look like much when it came to body guards, but even the tall, thin man with the curly graying hair had his secrets. You can try and charm him away from his duty but he's not as easy as he looks so be careful.

Okay so, maybe roping Dr Banner into playing a high stress game wasn't Peter's best idea but they could handle it. He thinks.

"We gotta keep the lions in or it's game over so like... just guard the pen and the person setting all the animals free's bound to show up right?" The video game will let them do this right? Right? This isn't cheating. Probably.

"I'm gonna round up the penguins!"

Bruce gives Peter a "LOOK" the one that Tony would have called "Bruce's oh shit no you aren't" face. "We are both corralling the lions first," he tells Peter firmly. "I don't want the other guy to break the game and you are just as strong as he is."

Tony felt really stupid. He hated these missions where you had to dress up, but once he was in the role he was good at not letting it show. Strolling up to his friend in his frilly, burgundy colored outfit with shoes that feel more like slippers than real shoes. He was just going to ignore that he should really have bowed to the man before starting a conversation with him.

"I feel utterly ridiculous in this. No man should ever wear tights."

Bruce gives his friend a smile and a once over. "I don't know...you really have the legs for them," he says in his gently snarky way, "you should have gone to a Renaissance fairs with me. We would have been popular."

Tony scowls and looks down at his legs. His attention gets brought back to his friend's face at the mention of Renaissance fairs. "No you see if you're at a Renaissance fair, you- by definition- are not popular. You have, somewhere along the line, failed at being in society so you have to romanticizen another era just to find someone who will put up with you."

He pauses. "Are they any fun?"

Bruce smirks and calmly replies. "Turkey legs as big as your head and wenches everywhere. And trust me they were looking at the tights. So yes they were more fun then you would think. I've always been tempted to take Thor to one just to see his head explode."

Crossover-shenanigans welcome? Crisis On:

"As sure as having me here." Raven replied, admittedly with less bite than she usually would. "I can corral the animals, if you can fix the enclosures?"

Bruce nods. "I can do that," he said moving forward slowly keeping one eye on the lion. He knows he could have the big guy subdue the animal but they agreed once Bruce shrank to look more human and actually fit in that the Hulk would not come back out again unless Bruce's life was terribly in danger. And this didn't fit that rule. He pulls his tool kit out of his pocket and kneels down getting to work his fingers twisting and turning with grace.

That didn't bring a smile, but it did bring a bit of warmth to her voice. "I Figured you'd enjoy that part more." Raven was hoping she wouldn't have to see if she could calm the big green guy down. She didn't want to pry into Bruce's life, anymore than she'd want someone prying into hers.

Not to mention she had her own temper issues.

All of which wouldn't help them with the game. So Raven focused mostly on the lion, using her dark energy to form barriers to keep it corralled. Also keeping her eyes and ears open for other animals, as all they needed was another complicaion.

Bruce manages to open the lock and whistles sharp and quick to let Raven know he was ready. "Come on big guy," he calls quietly, "we aren''t going to hurt you okay. We want to help you."
