PSA/Help take down a blue lady?
As a heads up, because it has the potential to affect a number of characters and/or a number of characters may have seen it:
In the arrival log, Lapis is not doing well with being pulled into the game, to say the least. She's a CRAU taken from a moment she was afraid for her life, so she's still in that mindset, thinking that this is something being done to her by her previous game's antagonist. She's trying her damnedest to escape -- while causing train damage and attacking others in the process. She has extremely strong hydrokinesis, so she's yanking water from wherever she can to attack others (thinking that they're going to attack her) and defend herself. So far she's broken a pipe underneath the train, which is gushing water. The mods have told me that the water supply is finite, normally replaced at every station.
Something should probably be done about the pipe, but I'm otherwise absolutely fine with other characters trying to subdue Lapis -- actually, I'd welcome the help. Again, she's extremely strong, having stolen the ocean in her canon, but we have a ton of other strong characters on the train. If people want to come at her in a group, I'll work with that, or if RNG needs to be done to determine who takes her down, I'm fine with that too. She can be "poofed" back into her gem if she takes enough damage. (Just please don't aim for the gem on her back itself and shatter it!)
For anyone not directly engaging, having seen it or having been knocked over by a wave/water whip at some point is a possibility.
. . . She'll be sorry for this later. ^^;

Care for a battle of wills on that?

Is it the same right back? (Just curious, he's also got a great big intstrument for whacking)

So I wouldn't say that Lapis is immune to water attacks herself -- more that she's much more likely to be able to counter or negate. (Or turn it right back on the source.)

But in RP purposes, that's right, he's much more likely to control the water and turn it back on someone, it's just if he gets hit he wouldn't take damage from it. It's his element, and he's meant to narratively have control over it.
Which makes her a fun opponent because so does she, hence the battle of wills. >D

I think I'm looking for a "poof her back into her gem" kind of subdue. (I don't know if you're familiar with the series, but the core of Gems is the gem located somewhere on their bodies. Their bodies themselves are made of light, and when there's been damage, they vanish into their gems (with a poof) to regenerate.) The more she goes on with this, the more I'm thinking she may not listen without a reset.
In the case of these two, where they're throwing water back and forth at each other, it could end up being an accident or something, if that sounds more reasonable for him. I'm waiting to hear back from one person on whether or not they're game and before I roll any dice, but I'll let you know what happens!

Good work, Than. The flowers appreciate you!
I love that you did use it in a post!

But let me know if you'd like him to take action, but I would say that something more involved would probably be best to have other characters subdue her

He could probably do something about that pipe, though, if you're game. Then everyone can still enjoy the spa. ;)

I can offer up Najaran for non-leathal takedowns. She’s canonically good at stopping someone from being destructive then befriending thwm, lol.
If the Link player offers Link, I can add Clef, but the two of them might be overkill, lol.

I may need to RNG so that there's a clear "this is who took her down."

Like I mentioned above, at some point I may need to RNG, but let's do it.

For more convenience, linked here.
Also, I've been thinking: Since I have a few fight threads going, I'm thinking it would be helpful to RNG results -- who manages to cause damage, and who ultimately takes her down. Are you good with that?

I did the RNG roll and it came up with Demyx taking her down, but I'm glad to still play out the attempt with Najaran! It would have an effect on future CR.

Although, I get the feeling her water would just kinda... wash him away.

He's still welcome to try, even if he may not succeed! And it will probably earn him CR later; she'll want to apologize.

and yess. I'm sure Peter will forgive her easily. He gets is, new place, new rules and it's scary. Really, they're lucky they don't see more panic attacks like that.

The link, if you need it!

Hallo yes, sorry I'm late

I think it depends on what Trunks will want to do. Lapis is pretty freaked out right now, so while Trunks is doing a good job trying to talk to her, he's being drowned out by pure panic and fear. Getting through to her and getting her to trust that it isn't a trick isn't impossible, but it would probably take something fairly profound in action to break through. I will say that even if he doesn't manage to succeed, she'll remember later that he tried, and that will help with future trust.
He's also welcome to try to subdue her. I have a couple of others trying this. I'm thinking I'll have to RNG what happens and who manages to do damage vs. take her down, if you're game for that.
Any other thoughts on actions he might try to take?

Grabbing onto her and holding her . . . he might be able to do it, but it will likely result in something similar to what happened with Peter. She pulled the water around them both, cutting off air. She doesn't need to breathe.
If you don't think he would end up fighting with her, he could possibly open himself to attack . . . that would startle her, because it's the opposite of what she would expect from Lesedi. (Because she does think Lesedi, the villain from her previous game, is bending her mind or reality and doing all this to kill her.) That would certainly make an impression on her. If you don't think he would do that, either, maybe we can find a distraction or something so that she can get away? The more this goes on, the more I do think she probably needs to get poofed back into her gem for a reset.
Hopefully that all made sense; I'm thinking aloud. XD

We may have to figure out a way for her to get away, though.

For context on her end, Lapis Lazulis are terraformers, sent to tear apart a planet's surface to prepare it for Gems. This means they carve through land, rearrange oceans, etc. -- basically demolish everything in sight. Lapis is considered to have more power than others of her kind. She was able to pull the ocean into a tower reaching up beyond the atmosphere -- and still have the power to fight off several other Gems at the base of her tower. She's working with a much more limited amount of water, but I'm thinking that, given all of that, she could hold him for a bit until he really started powering up.
That's how I'm reasoning through it, anyway. ^^;
So yeah . . . I think the thing with Demyx will take a few minutes, so if you agree, I'm thinking the chains will give enough time?

Awesome. I'm glad we found a solution!
