It's weird because they have similar-ish stories of being held captive and experimented on against their will, but the power-set and bitterness led to different paths.

All the noble hero types dragging Murphy off for more experimentation made him that brand of bitter. All the chessmasters and mental-fuckery with Bucky led to his mountain of shit.

Maybe if the backgrounds come out before the mind control thing comes out it can be salvaged, Soldat has surprised me in the past with the weird villain CR he's made... but I'm not gonna hold my breath, either XD
