Canon: Prey 2017 by way of a post-canon AU fic.
Cabin and team: Purple @ 2-D, aka surrounded by vets
Little bit about them: Psychic alien hybrid part-times as a mug, or, [slaps Ghost upside the head] this alien can fit SO MUCH autism in it. Used to high-stakes circumstances and hasn't ever learned to slow down and stop for the entire twelve days he's been alive (and probably won't start any time soon). Nonverbal (uses technopathy-to-speech on a smartphone to communicate), prone to sensory overload from psychic senses, but outside of that, extroverted and pretty friendly, generally helpful, will not stand for ethics violations in here.
Hopes and dreams: Reaching for everyone but especially other members of tech and/or science squad. Lowkey planning for "wow. everyone on this train needs therapy. guess I study psychology now." in the future but at the moment it's just settling in. And possibly Getting Involved in the shit Jack's been pulling on Rich, but who can blame him. Also I'm going to beat everyone to death with his permissions please fill them out i am Begging.

I'M SORRY SOLDAT he's just a guy, trying to live, same as you.

(He is also used to people being freaked out about him, honestly, considering that he was an experiment in "well these aliens are eating us, let's see if there's any way we can open communications to make them stop doing that" and the answer was a resounding. no. so he "grew up" surrounded by people who watched Things Like Him eat people.)

Mostly if he keeps his technopathy to himself, it'll be fine. It's just if he dives into that metal arm that we're gonna have a problem, I think.

oh the arm is probably not advanced enough to be able to do anything with, honestly. like, it doesn't have a "brain" of its own, if that makes any sense? cell phones have processing, computers have processing, soldat arms have "nerve signals go in and motion comes out"
