I headcanon that’s the issue, and I think that’s how Ignis gets nutrition into this stubborn prince. XD

(Also, Soldat knew a Noctis in their previous game... I'm happy to ignore that if you like, it was over a year ago, or if you'd like them to recognize him I can go that route too. Whichever is easier for you <3 )

Nah, I think all he knew was the guy's a prince and yet he also got into fights and shit >.> Soldat was baffled as to who the hell let an important political figure actually fight, at the time. I don't think they talked about anything that deep.
