February Information and CR Meme!
We hope everyone had a fun month! Some information for your ongoing journey.
IC Month
This month is the month of Jelly. Days can be found here.
The thought of the month is “No-one is useless in these worlds who lightens the burdens of another.”
This means: Tagging into other characters’ top levels or posts will earn you two bonus points during January and February.
Threads that fulfil this criteria can be submitted during February AC. You may find it easier to keep a tracking list of threads for easy compiling of bonus AC! As a note: Though there is no thread length minimum we will be keeping an eye on thread lengths to make sure that people are committing to the threads they tag into.
The ingredient of the month is avocado. Recipes are here. All the ingredients can be found in the storeroom and characters are welcome to make other food with them.
This month’s chore assignments are:
Blue: Cleaning kitchen and bathrooms
Purple: Cleaning bedrooms and passenger areas
Red: Meal Preparation
Orange: Laundry
Important Dates
This month’s event will be a train event on the 12th & 13th of February. (A plotting post will go up on the 7th.)
The TDM will be posted on the 16th. Reserves will open on the 18th. Apps are between the 20th and the 27th. AC will run from the 20th to the 27th of February.
Train Updates
The shop has grown once again to add medium animals. Animals that fit into this category are anything bigger than a miniature kitten and smaller than a large dog breed. As a rule of thumb: if it could be ridden into battle it's too large!!
A further update to the shop. Hammerspace items can now only be bought by those from the world they exist in; they can buy them as gifts for others if they wish, much like with animals from specific worlds. This has been reflected on the new Item comment here. (I realise the comment is visibly a little awkward on the shop page since there are replies to the old comment still but that will be fixed once shop purchases have been processed!)
A reminder that in general with specific items from worlds that are not your character's own, please make sure your character has learned about them either in a thread or, if handwaved, that you have chatted with a player from that world. This is as much to make sure everyone knows how the items work as anything else. Any questions, come chat to us!

Character: Willow Amarina (ORANGE team)
About them: Willow is an OC from an unnamed book I'm writing with my sister (I really should come up with a title for that..) set in a very fantasy world. She is a Phoenix, but not many on the train actually know this at all because it's something held as a close secret due to her kind being hunted in her world. She has been dealing with some things on the train relating to the Nion mission which rattled her but otherwise she's someone who, once past her defensive walls, is very kind and caring. Motherly/sisterly even, and will do anything for her close friends and found family to protect them. She also loves to learn and study all sorts of things, especially if it can benefit her people to prevent conflict, and this is extending now to her fellow passengers due to picking up new skills to better help her healing knowledge.
She has a set of permissions and permissions questions here, so please do fill them out. (Nova is her bird, a Fire Hawk, for those questions relevant to her)
Plans: No solid plans for the moment, I'm taking a hiatus this month due to some sad anniversary stuff and won't be around much til the latter half. BUT I'm still available to make plans with her for the latter half of Feb. Right now all I have planned for Willow is her having been studying acupuncture under Wen Qing and working on her relationships with other passengers, including a budding romance with Edge and her Found Family bonds.
CR wanted: Anything and Everything. Especially in the Found Family bonds. I'm all for negative and positive CR here.
Things to avoid: You don't have to outright avoid anything, but a heads up about self-harm, sexual assault, suicide (unless I'm canon familiar /gestures to MDZS/Untamed), car related deaths (I've witnessed more than a few of those), or cancer would be GREATLY appreciated! So long as I'm warned ahead of time oocly or in a subject header, we're good. Just don't drop that on me without warning.
