February Information and CR Meme!
We hope everyone had a fun month! Some information for your ongoing journey.
IC Month
This month is the month of Jelly. Days can be found here.
The thought of the month is “No-one is useless in these worlds who lightens the burdens of another.”
This means: Tagging into other characters’ top levels or posts will earn you two bonus points during January and February.
Threads that fulfil this criteria can be submitted during February AC. You may find it easier to keep a tracking list of threads for easy compiling of bonus AC! As a note: Though there is no thread length minimum we will be keeping an eye on thread lengths to make sure that people are committing to the threads they tag into.
The ingredient of the month is avocado. Recipes are here. All the ingredients can be found in the storeroom and characters are welcome to make other food with them.
This month’s chore assignments are:
Blue: Cleaning kitchen and bathrooms
Purple: Cleaning bedrooms and passenger areas
Red: Meal Preparation
Orange: Laundry
Important Dates
This month’s event will be a train event on the 12th & 13th of February. (A plotting post will go up on the 7th.)
The TDM will be posted on the 16th. Reserves will open on the 18th. Apps are between the 20th and the 27th. AC will run from the 20th to the 27th of February.
Train Updates
The shop has grown once again to add medium animals. Animals that fit into this category are anything bigger than a miniature kitten and smaller than a large dog breed. As a rule of thumb: if it could be ridden into battle it's too large!!
A further update to the shop. Hammerspace items can now only be bought by those from the world they exist in; they can buy them as gifts for others if they wish, much like with animals from specific worlds. This has been reflected on the new Item comment here. (I realise the comment is visibly a little awkward on the shop page since there are replies to the old comment still but that will be fixed once shop purchases have been processed!)
A reminder that in general with specific items from worlds that are not your character's own, please make sure your character has learned about them either in a thread or, if handwaved, that you have chatted with a player from that world. This is as much to make sure everyone knows how the items work as anything else. Any questions, come chat to us!

Prisoner | Dead Cells
About them: From Dead Cells, he's from a world where a disease known only as the Malaise infected his entire home. What the Malaise didn't turn into horrible monsters the king killed in an attempt to quarantine. He did what anyone else in his position would do and went on a huge revenge quest to kill the king but the hand of the king is a douche and kept killing him instead. Kill, die, learn, repeat.
He's chill if you don't tell him what to do and his diction varies with mode of speech. If he's handwriting he's formal and polite and you will definitely think he's quite a bit kinder than he is, if he's texting on Soldat's tablet he cusses more and is more casual, if he's signing he tends to cuss a lot more. He's pretty what you see is what you get and he doesn't really care if you like him or not.
Plans: Renee is coming back on the train so he will be absolutely ecstatic about that - I'm sure that he will be introducing Renee to Soldat to show he's made an whole friendo. Outside of that nothing specific, he's basically a cartoon character that can cuss.
CR wanted: He's always down for fighting because that's like the one thing he's good at, but he will try to teach sign language to those who want to learn. He's an awful teacher but there is literally nothing else to do on this dumb train. Otherwise people who will help him engage in silly antics or otherwise aren't afraid of fire or apparently dead things is always nice.
Things to avoid: Not that I can think of, but I'll reach out if something comes up.

Also I just had the thought of Soldat trying to teach Prisoner how to dance. Want to learn the Lindy Hop, buddy? It's a fun passtime that's not fighting and still keeps you moving.

Oh. My. God. Yes. Please. He doesn't know he wants this yet but he absolutely wants it. Nobody TOLD him that DANCING was a THING. He's gonna be absolutely terrible oh my god
V | Cyberpunk 2077
About them: Cyberpunk 2077, streetkid start, temperance ending. He's a messed up guy with a lot of walls and a lot of fears but on the surface he's pleasant enough. Will keep you at arm's length for an extended period of time and will be less than interested in you getting to know him. Will be very confused as to why he has a body again but sure why not.
Plans: He will be adopting Noct's cat, Reggie, since Noct is leaving. If nobody tells him the name of the cat he'll be forced to rename it, oh nooo. He's also going to be adopted by local bi disaster Rich as an older brother. Other than that he's just going to be settling in and figuring out what the actual heck is happening. He probably will pull a gun on Handsome Jack but well see.
CR wanted: All of it, let's start the CR endurance run.
