Test Drive 020
Welcome to the Test Drive Meme! Here is the place to see how your character might fit the setting, grab samples and have fun!
1. Post with your character, including their name and series in the subject. We’ve written out some prompts but feel free to make up your own, you have a whole train to play with!
2. Assume they've been around long enough for threads to jump right into the action.
3. Have lots of fun.
Happy testing!
Crisis On... An Aeroplane
The train has a game carriage and the VR video games are always popular. A good way to relive boredom as well as teaching some good skills.
Crisis on...This game can be played with two to four players. It is essentially a crisis simulator mixed with an escape room. You can chose the scenario (the bridge of a space ship, a camp in a jungle, a high rise building, a sailing ship etc) and you are thrown into the middle of a crisis of some kind. Teamwork and a cool head are important as is using the surroundings wisely.
Here you are the crew of a small aeroplane in desperate trouble and attempting to land, the wind is strong, your engines are straining and the visibility is near zero. Can your crew land safely?
Dressing up
The Voidtreckers have a new mission and the dressing carriage is open for their convenience...
The mission is taking them to a circus and the clothes sure reflect that. Clown costumes, glittery leotards, many feathers and an overabundance of sequins.
There is make up and facepaint provided as well, hopefully there are enough voidtreckers with expertise to make it look convincing.
Clowning Around
Strange happenings have been happening in Kilpi, a monster ridden land and joining a performing troupe is the best bet of protection outside of the small settlements. The voidtreckers are masquerading as one such troupe, in order to help out a small settlement that has seen a spate of killings. Voidtreckers must put on the show of their lives, investigate the killings and bring peace back to the town.Team One
Setting up the stage for the performance is a good time for building bonds with the towns people. Everyone knows something, no matter how small and they are more likely to gossip with stage hands than talk to the town guard.
Gather information, set up a stage and get ready for the show.Team Two
The killings always happen in the evening or at night, always when people are alone. So making sure people are not alone is the task of team two. The show is ready, it is big, it is loud and hopefully enough to draw in the whole town.
Eat fire, juggle, walk that tightrope. Music plays, sequins glitter. The show is a distraction and their task is to be the best distraction they can be.Team Three
Whilst team two are distracting it is team threes chance to catch the killer. The streets are deserted, quiet and stealth is necessary to remain undetected.
Most people are at the show, but not everyone. Are they in danger? Or are they potential suspects.

Ken Amada | Persona 3 (AU) | OTA
Ken's not used to VR, but he's gotten the hang of it quickly. The young boy has never flown a plane, but he's figured out most of the controls already. He starts barking orders to the rest of the team.
"Check the fuel gauge - no, not that, the other one! What's our altitude - we're coming in too fast, pull up!"
It's up to the rest of the team if they want to actually take orders from an eleven year old.
Clowning Around - Team Three
Stalking deserted streets is familiar to Ken - this isn't the Dark Hour, but the quiet is reassuring. He doesn't have a spear with him at the moment, but he does have his Evoker. The rest of the team might be surprised at how silently the kid can move from shadow to shadow, peeking his head around corners when possible and just listening if he can't.
Just don't mess up the stealth.
Thunderstruck [CW: Suicidal imagery]
Ken's no slouch at training. He's found a spear and leaps and ducks around a training dummy. It's annoying that it's not a moving target, but he'll take what he can get. Most of the stabs he's inflicting on it would be plenty lethal on a regular person.
... There's another way he wants to train, though. He pulls a gunlike object out of his pocket and presses it to his head. As he pulls the trigger there's a loud sound of shattering glass. His head jerks to the side as blue fog surrounds him and a strange creature appears in front of him.
"Zionga." The creature spins and a bolt of lightning strikes the dummy, leaving it smoking.
However summoning a Persona is not quiet, so it's possible he was noticed by the sound - or the sight of a preteen with a 'gun' to his head.
Cooking by the Book
Ken doesn't normally handle the cooking - that's Chidori's job most nights - but he knows enough to figure out some basic things. He currently has a pot simmering with some meat he found in the refrigerator and some vegetables. He's thickened the stew a little bit, just so it's not watery, and he's currently climbing the counters in an effort to open the cabinets and find some storage containers.
... He'll clean off where he's stepped once he finds it.
Team 3 ovo
He'd been grouped up with one of the kids. He knew that this kid had some skill and ability, but it was almost comical how he was dodging from shadow to shadow. V trailed behind him, just walking. He kept close to the buildings, sure, but was not acting like some super secret spy.
V caught up to where the kid was currently standing and listening for... Whatever the hell he was listening for. Instead of stopping he just kept walking, moving at a lazy pace.

"We're supposed to be sneaking."
no subject
“Nothin’ around here to warrant it. No reason to look silly.”
no subject
"... We're supposed to be trying to find a killer." Stay on task. "And if you're out in the open they'll see you."
cookin'
She speaks out to them as she reached into a cabinet and pulled out a box of saltines and shoved a few crackers into her mouth.
"Hey! What're you looking for? Do you need help? Whatever you made smells good~" She wandered over to the pot and lifted the lid, peeking into the pot.
no subject
"I got it now... someone keeps shoving useful stuff to the back of the cabinet and it's really annoying."
no subject
"A peek's not gonna a difference." She moved away from the pot and perched herself so she was sitting atop a counter that was far enough away that she wouldn't be in his way of whatever he was doing unless he decided to be a jerk and make her move. She ate a few more crackers.
"Yeah, I don't like the way stuff's organized around here. I spend more time looking for things than I do actually cooking." Not that she really cooked, given how many people existed. She usually helped with prep more than anything.
no subject
"Do you actually cook or just eat everyone else's cooking?"
no subject
"Here there's too many people in the kitchen so I just do whatever's needed; usually it's chopping up veggies or whatever." She's cheery as she speaks, as if she genuinely enjoyed the work. Her tone shifts to be a little more hushed, like she's telling a secret, but is still excited. "What I'm good at is making candy."
no subject
"Don't use up all of our stock of sugar just making candy." While he does like candy, he likes being able to make all kinds of things more.
no subject
"So first of all, you're not my dad, and you're not Mr. Kha, and you're not Willow." Another cracker. "Second, I'll clean up after myself. Third: I wasn't offering to help. If I was I wouldn't be sittin' here eating crackers. Clearly you got this all by yourself." She chewed and swallowed the cracker, then didn't eat another one quite yet.
"I haven't made any candy since getting here. It's a whole process and it's honestly easier to just buy candy with points." .........anothercracker.

Thunderstruck
tiny adamant railgun to their head. That person is Thanatos who has seen Zagreus purposely put himself in the path of his own fire to bolster his strength. Does he really understand the reasoning behind it? No. But it happens.Thanatos stares at the strange creature. What...?
no subject
"... What? Something wrong?" Obviously something's wrong, but most people can't see Persona. ... That hasn't changed here, has it?
no subject
However, he does speak, "Was that summon yours?"
no subject
"... Y-yeah, she was." He glances down, and then up. "N-not used to people seeing her."
no subject
He doesn't meddle like Zagreus does. It's not part of his domain. (Not that anything has been so far since he arrived on the train.)
no subject
Well. And Shadows. But those aren't people.
no subject
There's no need to meddle when someone just offers all the information like that. Thanatos isn't sure what to make of it. He only gets a long tale when someone is trying to convince him not to collect them. Did he somehow suggest that he is here to deal death?
"Things do not work as you expect on the train."

Cooking by the Book
And, yet. Despite that he had no idea if Ken even remembered ...
Perhaps he was a glutton for punishment.
"Whatcha lookin for?"
no subject
"... Storage containers for the stew. I figured that if I put some away then people who don't know how to cook can help themselves."
no subject
Shinjiro went in, going straight for the correct cabinet. At least Ken's instincts were correct - apparently the home for these was high above his head, he would've needed to climb up to reach them indeed. He got out several small containers.
"We can portion 'em out, that way it's gonna be easier for someone to just grab 'n go," Shinjiro explained. "More steps involved, th' more likely someone's gonna skip it for a less healthy option."
no subject
"I don't see why you care." His tone was flat, and he was so tempted to go for his Evoker... no. Not here. Not now. "It's not like you care about anyone..."
no subject
Either way, his bitter words caused what little expression Shinjiro wore to vanish, his eyes growing shadowed as he turned his face away.
Gruffly, he claimed, "People complainin 'bout shit's annoying. Don't read into it."
