Voidtrecker Visions (OOC Document - Link to IC Document)

Everything below the cut is a timeline of the visions Nita (my character) has received in-game, featuring mod descriptions. Nita's version of this document is both longer and not full of verbatim quotes - there are some when she talks about Jema'grethy/memory island.



1. The first dream Nita was present for was this vision many received in the Breach event:

You are lying on your back looking up at the sky. You are comfortable. It may be that you lie on a soft patch of grass, on a sandy beach or in your bed from home. It may even be that you float in water, lie on a rooftop or on the branch of a tree. The important thing is that you feel safe here, you feel comfortable, the temperature is just right.

You are looking up at the most beautiful sky you have ever seen. It may be the bluest of blue. It may be a night sky pricked with a million stars. You may be in space itself. It may even be softly raining or a sky of dark tumultuous storm clouds. But it is beautiful, whatever you deem to be so.

For a moment everything is just right with the world. But then, from the edges of your vision, there are dark shapes. You can't quite name them. But dark, jagged, wrong. They blot out your perfect sky.

You are falling. The ground beneath you has vanished. Falling not just downwards but upwards, outwards. Your consciousness has shattered and you are falling in every direction that ever was, falling through reality itself.

There is a scream, a scream of a million voices. A scream that fills every sense of you and you realise that one of the voices in the scream is your own.

You wake up.

She made a post of her own to discuss it here, which happened the day after the event. Zelda and Little One specifically mentioned sharing the dream at this time.

2. The second vision was specifically for the mission in the month of Egret, which went as follows:

There is a planet. Looking at it from space it doesn't look like any planet Nita may have seen in her time.

There is a ripple as the planet seems to pulse with energy. A shock wave that runs across its surface before the very sky seems to glow red with fire, blazing brighter and brighter.

There is a blast of terror and fear as Nita wakes.

Nita discussed this dream with Nerdanel, who had the same vision. (Note: Curufin's vision, described further down in the post, is more detailed; Nita listened to the thread but did not interject.)

The subsequent mission focused on averting the vision entirely, as opposed to it happening but with some sort of twist. Orange Team maintained the shields of the endangered planet, while Red Team (which Nita joined) confronted the weapon and the Empire themselves.

3. The third vision, for the aborted mission, was the same as the first vision, described as follows:

She discussed this vision again with Zelda. This did not confer ability to thwart the danger, alas.

(The month of Fiddlesticks did not have any visions, due to the nature of the threat on the mission.)

4. The fourth vision, taking place on the world of Terra, was:

She lies in small low cave, wrapped in her sleeping bag. There are people around her, people she knows.

But there is a feeling of great fear, almost oppressive and she feels the need to flee, to escape. The type of fear that makes her wish to run, but also to curl up under the covers and close her eyes and hope it goes away

She discussed this vision with Curufin, who had both a different vision and one with more detail.

Those who received visions and took part in Blue Team's mission (working with the Gry to try and understand their visions from The Burrower) experienced the intense fear in a cavern, while those who then went on the Orange mission (investigating the abandoned Terran labs) heard the alarms, or saw glowing lights. Purple team visions were about the tunnels (and their goal was to rescue lost Terrans in those same - collapsed - tunnels).

5. The fifth vision, in the month of Horseshoe, was again divided by Team. Nita's was:

You are stood in the clouds. There is solid ground beneath your feet but it is clearly the clouds you are stood in, thick and damp.

From a distance you hear wings, flapping, closer and closer. You tense, peering through the fog and then there is a bird, flying at you, feathers at odd angles, eyes wild and talons ready to attack.

This time, Nita made a post, comparing visions with Zelda and Nerdanel. This time, there were two variants for Orange Team: one vision focused on the birds they would later work with on the mission to distribute healing crystals, while another focused on flowers.

(Of the dreams not discussed, one of them featured the caging of the sovereign dragon (Katsuya Jonouchi). Nita did not discuss this dream, so it will not be present on the IC document, but it is worth noting nonetheless.)

6. The latest vision, being for the mission to Nion, went as follows:

You are stood in a lush jungle, high above you sunlight trickles through the canopy. A thousand insects sing.

The light coming through the trees seems to glow fiercer, you arrive in a clearing and look up. The sky is an angry red, darkening each moment.

For a moment the world seems still, even the insects stop chirping. Silence.

Then the world lurches, dust, fire, chaos. All you hear are screams.

Nita discussed this dream with both Zelda and Curufin. Everyone who received visions received the same one this time - however, it ended up being of the activation of the shield, as opposed to its failure.
