Train-wide meeting on 5th December!

Hey everyone! As some of you may have heard, or seen in the IC Network Post here, a train-wide meeting has been put out to discuss future organisation of both train-related issues and missions. While Roland Crane is involved and a Team Leader for Purple, this is mainly coming from your everyday passengers wanting to push for a community effort (mainly, Senku, Gen, Tidus, and Roland), to give feedback to current ongoing operations, and basically, all that good stuff.

While the current structure of the Council and Team Leads may be spoken on, nothing is enforceable unless, of course, there’s a large agreement. We’re hoping that some good discussions and ideas can come from this, and if necessary, I’ll try and put together an outline of what came up after the log has winded down.

The log for this will be going up OOCly on the 5th of December, ICly Day 18 of Imagination.

Just for an idea of some points that will be addressed, here’s a bullet point (HOWEVER, characters are free to bring up their own concerns! Please do!!):

• Missions: Addressing necessary roles (leads, healers, suppliers, etc), means of organising, ways individuals can help, communication, obtaining supplies, any other thoughts; the function of Black Squad
• Supplies: Supplies that can be crafted, that can be useful on and off missions; foods, armour, weaponry that can be ordered, and other possible items that will be useful to stock on
• Train Life: Organising documentation of events on train and on mission, putting together a guide for Team Leads and Council and the goal of their roles, groups, etc; what can be bought, added; what can we do to help with life on the train?

This is just a quick outline. For an idea of how the post may look, a good idea is the past Purple Mixer. If your character has a topic they want to address, stick a header in the comment to make it easier to catch!

I'd actually planned to do a network post re: asking if people would be interested in armor, after platform. It came up in a thread between Trunks and Piccolo (besides the idea of trying to buy some senzu beans) ICly. Should I rope that into meeting instead?

If you'd like to make your own post, or if you think Trunks would anyway, don't let us stop you! But he can also bring it up in the post made by Gen and Roland, and I know it'd be encourage for Trunks to speak more about at the meeting, I'm sure. :)

But I do think the armour might come up between Tidus and Piccolo too. And Tidus would want it brought up during the meeting- There's also other avenues known (Spider/Kumoko can craft magical clothing), so putting them all forward in one place would be good.

And tbh I'd totally rather Trunks talk about the armour!

I mean, one of the good things about saiyan-style armor is it's flexibility. it's designed to fit a wide variety of body style. (He has his from the Cell Games that Bulma designed.)

I'll probably have him do a network post then, like I'd planned, but he'll definitely be at the meeting too.

Yes, armour is very handy and it's not a bad idea at all! :) I'll be happy to see Trunks gets involved. His capsules may come in good use too!

Capsule tech on the train isn't as good as the ARMS band in some ways (and not compatible) b/c of the size limitations--but they're easy to store in a pocket or a bunch in a suitcase or similar.

How Eva'll react to things will depend on the day, but, thoughts wise at least-

If the idea comes up, Eva's gonna be against dismantling the current structure of the Council and Leads. She's likely to bring up that the Council needs an internal leader and a moderator though, with the internal leader preferably the one who's been on the train longest, and that the internal leader and moderate are not the same person and the leader's role mostly ceremonial unless they need a spokesperson for the train.

Mission wise- all of those are very good points and she agrees that the Team Leads need to do more. She will bring up the idea of team surveys to figure out who can do what, which IIRC Orange Team's done twice already.

Eva also has Thoughts on Enna's attempt to grab leadership, which reminds her far too much of Tony Stark, so that'll be informing her re that if it comes up.

Supplies wise, Eva'll offer to try and get more healing type items from her world, though she's also very keen to get the rest of her main team so what happened in the last mission doesn't happen again. OOCly, I have no idea if we have a list of what's in the Medical and Triage carriages, and if not, we should make one.


Train Life wise, Eva has the Welcome Guide she maintains and updates as needed, and to various people she's brought up or will bring up the idea of a Journal for everyone to record everything they know about well, everything re the Train so far, because she's pretty sure those books in the Libary are biased. She thinks there was an effort to document missions but she's not sure of what happened or what happened to it.

I can't speak of medical and triage, that will need to be asked of Katy and Elle I believe, though some supplies have been asked for. A supply list has been made of items bought here for missions, which were started up by Lightning, Tidus helping, and then Roland helping with auditing. But of course, others have contributed too!

During the meeting however, or as things get sorted out, I do want to make it more clear and make it hopefully sound more accessible to everyone. It always has been, but I believe there's been a few OOCly kerfuffles that made the discussion of supplies/using arms bands get... railroaded. But this is also a reason why we wanted the meeting to happen. (One of many reasons!)

You actually had no idea either of these existed. Is the Mission Guide IC? As eva would thoroughly mention that on the Welcome Guide if it is.

Awesome. I am gonna add to that healing stuff... though sadly not any berries. (they can't, IIRC, heal people. Just taste great!)

And making a note here that Eva would likely bring up getting the magic people to study the Lucky Egg she has. (Which in canon is an EXP Share thing, but as those don't exist in her AU, it got turned into a healing item for broken bones.)

Yes, the Mission Guide is IC! It's on the Character Initiatives here, but is also ICly available on the train and is actually stacked next to the Welcome Guides anyway.

Would you like me to note that Pokemon berries are available on that mission supply? Since while Lightning/Roland keep an eye on things, it's basically just like 'everything is stored here'. Food and anything that can expire is placed into Arms Bands to keep them safe.

Of course, if it comes up ICly. :) I'm considering moving the supplies list into its own post for better visibility! Everything on the list is available, mainly just you have people who will have access to it (which can obviously increase). Though really the medicines are mostly accessible, and some have been supplied to the medbay. (like the elixirs - they're elixirs. they're basically 'you were on the verge of death and now you're not)

Thanks, yet not at this stage re the berries. (the supply is very limited, even with staggering the growth :() The same with the Lucky Egg as I'd need to do a full write up of it outside TDLR: heals broken bones.

Kaiba wants to expand tech lessons. They clearly need more help there, but agreed that healing is the most critical. He'd also like a lab so he can build more tech-y defenses as they slowly accumulate supplies, and will keep pestering the train on that point.

As far as the Council...he was on the old one and would ICly have feelings about it if people were sick of him, but OOCly I'm fine with a reset, it's been long enough! The old voting system mostly worked in his opinion.

Tech lessons, and any lessons that can be offered, also suggestions for 'hey we should have a lab for [x] reasons' absolutely should come up! Just want to thumbs up this for anyone else thinking the same with their own characters. :)

Even if the train doesn't give them [x] car, current cars can be tinkered some to potentially home crafts. Such as arts supplies being added to the standard coach.

And I wanted to toss this to everyone: we want to make sure the metaplot revelations from the last mission (and all metaplot so far) are accessible to all characters. Should this be brought up at the meeting, or a separate one?

Perhaps a VoidTreckerNet post to discuss what to do with Tony and Feanor's old lab? People have picked through it, but it still exists as a room?

I have no interest personally in it, other than I did put it on the map of the Train, so I am aware it exists :)

Sera brought this up on the ICP recently, but she really wants more people to learn how to defend themselves in a fight. Her concern is that not everyone can do that currently and missions can very easily and unexpectedly go bad. (Her big examples of missions taking a turn for the worse being the July mission/Terra and of course this recent one.)

Naja said she'd be willing to help with black squad since she can fly from place to place quickly and could carry someone else for a short time if needed in the air, or a number of people over land. (Or rather, her Cards can.) But she's not sure anyone WANTS her on their team at the moment.

Just adding in here, that due to the argument that took place during the meeting, help can be given bc I think - if not everyone, Tidus would, who were playing moderator - ask one of her Team Leads to speak with her so she had at least someone to talk to after the fact.

If you would like me to help arrange that, then I can pass word onto Curufin's player or Eva's, whichever you prefer.

I am always happy for more threads. She does have one with Eva set after this, because of the AMA with the train. Not sure yet how much of this will come up there.

She's just... pretty sure everyone hates her now.

I'll probably be putting up a open log for her soon, because trying to avoid everyone... does not work on the train. Especially not when one tries to do all the chores at once like Najaran.
