December Information and CR Meme!

IC Month

This month is the month of Imagination. Days can be found here.

The thought of the month is: "We are made to persist. That's how we find out who we are."

This means: Any thread that reaches 15 comments (total) will earn you two points.

Threads that fulfil this criteria can be submitted during December AC. You may find it easier to keep a tracking list of threads for easy compiling of bonus AC!

Recipes are here. The ingredient of the month is Honey. All the ingredients can be found in the storeroom and characters are welcome to make other food with them.

This month’s chore assignments are:

Blue: Cleaning bedrooms and passenger areas
Purple: Meal Preparation
Red: Laundry
Orange: Cleaning kitchen and bathrooms

The Train

When characters regroup on the train after the platform they will find a new carriage at the end of the train, beyond the luggage carriage.

Triage

This carriage is a double carriage. At the back of the car is a staircase, but at the front there's a lift connecting the two floors. Both floors have a corridor running down the left hand side.

The bottom floor is one large carriage, though there are curved curtain rails on the ceiling so that thick, grey curtains can be pulled around areas to cut them off. There are four medical beds that can be wheeled around or locked in place, and a handful of chairs. There are cupboards with medical equipment, primarily for first aid.

Upstairs there are two surgical bays. Though the equipment is basic, it is enough that wounds can be sewn and minor procedures undertaken. The ICP in this room has instructions for more complicated medical procedures but also carries warnings that advanced medical training is advised and surgery should only be carried out by senior medics.

This has been updated on the setting. Remember to let me know if your character does anything to alter the setting!

Important Dates

This month there will be two mini events! One on the 12th December which will be a little more meta-plot orientated and one on 20th which will be seasonal festive fun!

There is also a player-ran train meeting going up on the 5th December. As a reminder we have a player plot calendar for any large train-wide things anyone wishes to organise!

The TDM will be posted on the 16th. Reserves will open on the 19th. Apps are between the 22nd and 29th. AC will run from the 23rd to the 30th of December.

~ The mod team would like to give a huge THANK YOU to Ree (Player of Tidus) for her tremendous help during the boss battle! Team two have her to thank for that epic fight.

~ Talking of that fight and the mission: if any characters died please report their deaths here.

~ We have compiled the story so far for those interested in the slowly unfolding meta-plot!

~ AC this month will be check-in only. As long as you check in on the AC post when it goes up you will pass AC and get the 5 points for doing so. There will still be the opportunity to claim bonus challenge AC. If you are holding a strike from November you will have the option to either clear it in December or take the free check in and carry your strike over into January.

Mami (Purple)

Character: Mami Tomoe (Purple)
About them: From Puella Magi Madoka Magica, a young lady who loves to cook and is open about her nature as a magical girl. She's learned this last mission that though her offensive abilities are impressive, her magic is better saved for healing.
Plans: Continue to dominate the kitchen, and...maybe ask if there are ways to up her magic stamina? There aren't, but she wants to be Better.
CR wanted: Just...more people in general? And I want to delve into her headspace a little more, she's so stubborn at putting up that sweet and refined front. Oh, Mami.
Things to avoid: Just a warning that she is a little emotionally fragile, and can despair if she loses sight of a purpose. I may have to stop and talk things out if that happens, because the consequences of a spiral would be Bad.

Sakura is more than willing to be a kitchen buddy, and to look into the stamina thing with Mami, if Mami wants her digging into the nature of her gem.

Oh, that could be interesting! I have to let CR know, though, because that has the potential to deeply affect her. And requires careful plotting to come out the other side.

I definitely want to go down that route someday though!

Character: Seto Kaiba (Orange)
About them: From Yu-Gi-Oh. Just your average tech wizard CEO and competitive gamer, thrown into a situation where almost none of that matters. He serves as tech support.
Plans: He'll be at the meetings to reorganize. More to come later, but OOCly it's all good, whatever's decided. There's also the issue of metaplot to discuss! We'll be sharing the new reveals with everyone soon...they kinda have him reeling about life and their mission.
CR wanted: I'd love to let him be more athletic---finally hit the soccer court, in addition to fight club. Always willing to get to know people too (There's the grumpy shell, but he's generally okay now)

Given that she is the daughter of Vegeta and Bulma in Dragon Ball canon, Bulla is both familiar with grumps and with tech. I can toss her at him and see how they get along?

Kaiba, Kaiba, Kaiba...

Both Nita and Webmind want to hug him, frankly. (Nita being more OF a hugger, but still.)

Looking forward to the metaplot reveals hitting the train at large - and Webmind may beg Kaiba's ear/eyes to help him improve his textchat program. Maybe he just needs more people to look at it?
