December Information and CR Meme!

IC Month

This month is the month of Imagination. Days can be found here.

The thought of the month is: "We are made to persist. That's how we find out who we are."

This means: Any thread that reaches 15 comments (total) will earn you two points.

Threads that fulfil this criteria can be submitted during December AC. You may find it easier to keep a tracking list of threads for easy compiling of bonus AC!

Recipes are here. The ingredient of the month is Honey. All the ingredients can be found in the storeroom and characters are welcome to make other food with them.

This month’s chore assignments are:

Blue: Cleaning bedrooms and passenger areas
Purple: Meal Preparation
Red: Laundry
Orange: Cleaning kitchen and bathrooms

The Train

When characters regroup on the train after the platform they will find a new carriage at the end of the train, beyond the luggage carriage.

Triage

This carriage is a double carriage. At the back of the car is a staircase, but at the front there's a lift connecting the two floors. Both floors have a corridor running down the left hand side.

The bottom floor is one large carriage, though there are curved curtain rails on the ceiling so that thick, grey curtains can be pulled around areas to cut them off. There are four medical beds that can be wheeled around or locked in place, and a handful of chairs. There are cupboards with medical equipment, primarily for first aid.

Upstairs there are two surgical bays. Though the equipment is basic, it is enough that wounds can be sewn and minor procedures undertaken. The ICP in this room has instructions for more complicated medical procedures but also carries warnings that advanced medical training is advised and surgery should only be carried out by senior medics.

This has been updated on the setting. Remember to let me know if your character does anything to alter the setting!

Important Dates

This month there will be two mini events! One on the 12th December which will be a little more meta-plot orientated and one on 20th which will be seasonal festive fun!

There is also a player-ran train meeting going up on the 5th December. As a reminder we have a player plot calendar for any large train-wide things anyone wishes to organise!

The TDM will be posted on the 16th. Reserves will open on the 19th. Apps are between the 22nd and 29th. AC will run from the 23rd to the 30th of December.

~ The mod team would like to give a huge THANK YOU to Ree (Player of Tidus) for her tremendous help during the boss battle! Team two have her to thank for that epic fight.

~ Talking of that fight and the mission: if any characters died please report their deaths here.

~ We have compiled the story so far for those interested in the slowly unfolding meta-plot!

~ AC this month will be check-in only. As long as you check in on the AC post when it goes up you will pass AC and get the 5 points for doing so. There will still be the opportunity to claim bonus challenge AC. If you are holding a strike from November you will have the option to either clear it in December or take the free check in and carry your strike over into January.

Senku Ishigami

Character: Senku Ishigami

About them: Senku is from Dr. Stone. He's a brilliant scientific mind with an expert level of knowledge in all the hard sciences, he's a village chief, a doctor, an engineer...he does a lot of stuff. And he's not terribly good at social interaction. That said, he's willing to talk to just about anyone, all the time like the chatty boy he is. He is very likely to randomly spout science at people. Very likely.

Plans: Senku has taken over the teaching, so I'm planning on having him let people know that because the mission kinda snuck in there on me before I got to that. This month he will be crafting some blankets and winter coats for some pre-set people. He will hopefully have way more material than he needs and will be willing to craft some more. He deals in favours, it's always better when people owe you a favour. Last month he was in the kitchen, this month he's doing other crafting. He's always doing something.

CR wanted: Anything and everything, give it all to me. He got hurt on the last mission rather badly, and nearly got killed in an accidental combat situation. That's yeah, that's something that might have to come up.

Things to avoid: OOCly, I'm fine with anything. ICly, Senku does not want you to touch him, please and thank you. He's very touch averse. Grabbing him without asking anywhere other than his arms/hands are bound to get an unpleasant reaction out of him. Expect IC consequences if your character tries to get physical with him.

Yeah, definitely! Although he wasn't planning on focusing on mechanics too much in December, he did smuggle a robot on board that's going to run out of energy within two days - and he took a bunch of parts from the world so tinkering can definitely be on the menu.

WWX might be a fun one to discuss using magic to power it...

It's roomba-shaped, I don't know if it actually funtions like a roomba. I have to look into my notes, but lol doesn't it XD

Senku wouldn't actually think of that because he doesn't really know what magic can and can't do, it would definitely be a conversation worth having. I had meant to put a tinkering thing in his top level and forgot, but if you want to hit him up with a wildcard in that area, go for it.

Natsuno Yuuki/Koide

Character: Natsuno Yuuki/Koide

About them: Natsuno is from the anime Shiki! He goes by Yuuki to just about everyone (but his name on the roster is Natsuno Koide), he's 16, he's an emo vampire who aha just exposed he was a vampire, so that's a thing. He was a very straight-laced, follow the rules kind of guy and his life turned upside down when he was murdered. He doesn't want to be here, thanks, he'd rather be dead.

Plans: Natsuno is plan-free. He doesn't do much, but sulk really, he's a joy at parties, although he has exposed himself by going full vampire on the battlefield. That...could come up.

CR wanted: I am looking to connect him to a wider variety of people. He's made friends, this is good, he needs more friends.

Things to avoid: Natsuno is sulky and hates being a vampire. I'm fine with anything, and he'd complain about that, but he's coming around a bit, maybe it would be better to talk about it.

Yoite

Character: Yoite

About them: Yoite is from Nabari no Ou. He's a ninja, one with a forbidden technique that's rapidly killing him as he uses it. He will not die from it here, but it will temporarily mess him up. Most notably, he's almost completely deaf. His vision is still okay, if a bit blurry, except when it randomly stops working on him and he's completely blind (has not happened yet in the game).

Plans: Yoite got his ass kicked last mission. He's not in a very good mood. He feels like he's completely useless. He will be trying to stay out of people's way, hiding in corners, that kind of thing.

CR wanted: Yoite could use more friends and kindness.

Things to avoid: As always, I'm good OOCly pretty much with anything. Yoite's entire life has pretty much been suffering and abuse, so getting personal with him could lead uncomfortable topics.

This may not come up any time immediately, or at all, but I do want to put it out there that Dev is fluent in his world's sign language and always willing to teach someone something he knows if it will benefit them.

Yoite should absolutely learn. I know Jelle has said Madoka would be interested in learning with him. He is getting by lip reading at the moment so a lot of characters are not yet aware that he can't actually hear them. He's been a bit wary of admitting that, but I imagine soon enough that will come out.

Dev talks to himself in sign a lot, so we could probably arrange for it to come up via an encounter when he's chattering away with his hands if it doesn't come out some other way first. If you liked, of course!

Glorfindel would like to build positive CR with him, please. Bonus: Glorfindel has an aura that helps heal, both physically and spiritually (though as worlds differ, I let the other player determine how much their character gets out of it).

Would he be interested in learning archery?

He certainly can.

I'll have to think about it on the healing thing. The way it works in his world is that it's not something that can be fixed through medical intervention because of how it is exactly he's damaging himself. I've been thinking about it because there are other qi users on board that do do healing, and while he can't heal himself, there might be some kind of potential there.

He would probably enjoy getting to learn a new skill. He's not very mentally stimulated most of the time, so he probably wouldn't turn down the offer, and the less he uses of his powers, the better.

Just let me know. Glorfindel's working on his own qi utilization (flying and healing), so if you decide to go for it, he's there for you :)

Archery is a good skill to learn because it is a RANGED weapon, which is why Glorfindel will suggest it ;)

Definitely interested in continuing his CR with Alfredo, both the learning-sign-language thing mentioned above (if Alfredo hears about it/learns more, he WILL be interested, it just has to come up first), and in possible training scenarios.

Awesome. He has his own training regimen of sorts planned at some point, but the sign language could definitely be a thing. Honestly it would probably help him a lot more than he could conceive it would.

About them: Demyx is from Kingdom Hearts, sliding in at the end of KH3. He was definitely a villain, but in the third game became a turncoat and a secret operative for the side of the light. He's a very laid back, go with the flow kind of guy, and a musician. He has no taste for combat (or chores for that matter).

Plans: He is brand new, give me everything you've got!

CR wanted: Anything and everything!

Things to avoid: Nah, he's a very easy guy.
