December Information and CR Meme!

IC Month

This month is the month of Imagination. Days can be found here.

The thought of the month is: "We are made to persist. That's how we find out who we are."

This means: Any thread that reaches 15 comments (total) will earn you two points.

Threads that fulfil this criteria can be submitted during December AC. You may find it easier to keep a tracking list of threads for easy compiling of bonus AC!

Recipes are here. The ingredient of the month is Honey. All the ingredients can be found in the storeroom and characters are welcome to make other food with them.

This month’s chore assignments are:

Blue: Cleaning bedrooms and passenger areas
Purple: Meal Preparation
Red: Laundry
Orange: Cleaning kitchen and bathrooms

The Train

When characters regroup on the train after the platform they will find a new carriage at the end of the train, beyond the luggage carriage.

Triage

This carriage is a double carriage. At the back of the car is a staircase, but at the front there's a lift connecting the two floors. Both floors have a corridor running down the left hand side.

The bottom floor is one large carriage, though there are curved curtain rails on the ceiling so that thick, grey curtains can be pulled around areas to cut them off. There are four medical beds that can be wheeled around or locked in place, and a handful of chairs. There are cupboards with medical equipment, primarily for first aid.

Upstairs there are two surgical bays. Though the equipment is basic, it is enough that wounds can be sewn and minor procedures undertaken. The ICP in this room has instructions for more complicated medical procedures but also carries warnings that advanced medical training is advised and surgery should only be carried out by senior medics.

This has been updated on the setting. Remember to let me know if your character does anything to alter the setting!

Important Dates

This month there will be two mini events! One on the 12th December which will be a little more meta-plot orientated and one on 20th which will be seasonal festive fun!

There is also a player-ran train meeting going up on the 5th December. As a reminder we have a player plot calendar for any large train-wide things anyone wishes to organise!

The TDM will be posted on the 16th. Reserves will open on the 19th. Apps are between the 22nd and 29th. AC will run from the 23rd to the 30th of December.

~ The mod team would like to give a huge THANK YOU to Ree (Player of Tidus) for her tremendous help during the boss battle! Team two have her to thank for that epic fight.

~ Talking of that fight and the mission: if any characters died please report their deaths here.

~ We have compiled the story so far for those interested in the slowly unfolding meta-plot!

~ AC this month will be check-in only. As long as you check in on the AC post when it goes up you will pass AC and get the 5 points for doing so. There will still be the opportunity to claim bonus challenge AC. If you are holding a strike from November you will have the option to either clear it in December or take the free check in and carry your strike over into January.

Xiao Xingchen

Character: Xiao Xingchen
About them:

cw: canon death, blindness

Story so far! Xingchen is a kind-hearted Taoist priest, who is blind. His tragic story is linked to A-Qing and Xue Yang, as he's part of this family. So far, he's doing much better on the train and sees the errors of his judgment prior to death.

Plans:
- He'll get an eye surgery that restores his sight! His vision won't be restored right away, but once he's healed and recovered, he'll be able to read books and actually study to be a future healer/nurse in Jan/Feb.../puts on nurse hat
- Xue Yang recently died on a mission and returns. He and Xue Yang are going to be roommates, which on the surface may look like a disaster, but they're working on their friendship/relationship and other issues that stem from their past life. In a way, a mediator to bring peace on his return.

CR wanted: He's open to all kinds of CR, but he might need a strong support system when needed, basically his connection to people and friends on the train. He's working on building his self-esteem and standing up for himself.

If you have any interest in CR with him, let me know! He's generally quiet and passive, and work on himself and his close CR. Basically, the month of December, it's going to be quiet for him as he takes his time to heal, rest, and bring happiness and peace to his friends and family around and spend time with them.

Connections to friends are basically the name of the game in KH, so expect Lea to be checking in. And he'll definitely be happy when Xingchen gets his sight back. (There may or may not be sea salt ice cream involved.)

He appreciates Lea checking in. Sea salt ice creams seem like the best way to celebrate the holidays!

Is he getting any by ordering from the train shop and shares them with the other passengers?

Xion's been supplying most of it, since she doesn't really spend points on anything else. But Lea'll take care of the next round if he gives some to anyone else. Or he might attempt to make his own, since there are ice cream makers on board.

By the way! Tidus spoke to Nerdanel on the mission about making Xingchen a stick from bamboo to help him get around (until he gets his eye sight back, of course)! I'll just ping the player and they can say if it'd be ready by the time they're back on the train or even during the mission. :) The player also spoke of enchanting it so it would be hard to lose.

Hey, hi, thank you very much for letting me know! The last world has a lot of bamboo, so I figured he collected a few on board. He doesn't know what the future holds for him, so he'll be using that to get his way around in the meanwhile. I think, he should received it during the mission and used it after.

Your tag is fine! On the last mission, he is using the metal pole and there are bamboo growing on the planet. It most likely has gotten eaten by a panda.

WWX and LWJ's wedding--he is expected at the Family Tea :)

If he needs anything while he is healing, just let WWX know. Even if it is for WWX to go away for a couple of hours ;)

Would you like Glorfindel come and glow during the recovery? It's what he does, it speeds healing. He can also supply pastries.

Uncle is definitely coming over! Also, the other MXTX couple, Hua Cheng and Xie Lian, they're coming to the party too. Just pray Xie Lian isn't charge of the cooking for the banquet part... 😂

I would actually think after the surgery, he'll check in with Wen Ning and Ichigo to make sure the recovery goes smoothly. He would visit the medic wing, but Glorfindel is welcome also to help with the healing.

I think pastries goes to XY. This XXC is a fan of Roland's coffee.

Hua Cheng

About them: Hua Cheng is an 800-year-old, Ghost King.
Plans: He has no plans, so it's generally slice of life, getting to know people, know other cultivators, being adjusted and settled on the train.

CR wanted: He's open to any CR! For now, because he's new, he's interested in gathering new information, meeting new friends, but he can be protective of youngsters and children if he likes them. Think of him as a ghost pokemon that likes playing tricks and games, but once he forms a bond with you, his friendship and company is beneficial. He's generally a private guy who keeps to himself.

Please let me know if CR and friendship with him interest you! He can cook, clean, do chores, and he is helpful when he wants to be. Just domestic stuff.

Other notes: He openly flirts and he's in a romantic relationship with Xie Lian. So he can be seen generally in his company and is very protective of him.
