About you: PST, she/her. I tend to be neck deep and sinking in multiple fandoms simultaneously; currently, those include all things Rooster Teeth Animation, Overwatch/Overwatch League, Animal Crossing, and Discworld. Also, cats are amazing. Don't ever let anyone tell you differently.

Character: Dr. Siebren de Kuiper, also known as Sigma
Canon: Overwatch
Cabin and team: 5:A and Orange Team!
Little bit about them: Siebren is a genius astrophysicist with gravity powers. He tends to be quirky and generally friendly; that said, he's also deeply traumatized, in a disconnect-from-reality sort of fashion. (He will insist he's fine, really.) He also hears music in his head all the time - whether it's an actual reflection of the universe or just a result of trauma isn't terribly clear, but it is very, very real to him.
Hopes and dreams: GIVE ME EVERYTHING. Science friends, science rivals, weird friendships that shouldn't work but do, teenagers that need a quirky grandpa mentor, everything. Now that he has proof the multiverse exists, Siebren is going to throw himself headfirst into figuring out how 1) the multiverse and 2) the train function. Aside from that, it's going to be a whole lot of getting to know people and fitting in - after all, it is important to know one's team, is it not?

(Way down the road, I do want some of his closer CR to figure out that Something Is Off and try to talk to him about it, but that is future!Siebren's problem.)

Hey! I'm Usagi, here with an orange (Emporio), blue (Jonouchi) and purple (this gal, Yuume), but whoever I tag with oh man, I'm excited. I saw this guy on the tdm and on the apps page and just grinned REAL big man, I'm super glad to see the character here.

Chances are that missionwise it'll be either Emporio or Yuume who meets him first but who knows what will happen on this here train so yesssss...

(That said speaking of 'things that are off', Yuume's job normally entails working with soul-scapes/mind-scapes/whatever you'd call it so Hmmmm... ....and on the science end Emporio's an 11-basically-12 year old casually breaking a few laws of reality so eyyy)

IT ME

Sigma is actually a brand new character for me, so I'm still feeling him out a bit; that said, I am 100% up for whoever you want to throw at him!

(Weird esoteric dreamscape shit is my jam, so I'd be happy to add that to plans for future!Siebren :D And Siebren is definitely breaking a few scientific laws himself, though he Doesn't See It That Way.)

In that case, I wish you the best on getting cozy with the voice!

Long time no see! I'm looking forward to Orisa needing to be reined in from dealing with a Talon member (unless she doesn't know? I'm good with whatever and it's not like LORE TELLS US ANYTHING TO GUIDE US HERE).

You know, we beg Blizzard for some concrete lore, and another finger on the monkey's paw curls in and we get four Tracer comics.

(I have no problem with Tracer; just please give my literal afterthought of a character some lore, Blizzard, ffs)

Given that Sigma has a brain-bending Word of God tidbit stating he doesn't actually know that Talon is using him (HE RUNS MISSIONS WITH THEM, BLIZZARD, HOW DOES THAT WORK), I'd prefer to go with them never having run into each other, if that works for you! He'd likely recognize her as an Omnic, and he'd definitely be more interested once he heard she was one of Efi's creations.

Every time someone around him says "let's commit evil in the name of Talon!" he hears a kickin' piano solo instead.

How much you want him to know is up to you! Her creation was clearly pretty public, but it didn't involve gravity outside of the Tobelstein reactor so it totally missing him makes just as much sense too.

Sombra figures that out and tests that theory at least twice a day, even after Reaper tells her to knock it off.

He may have missed her creation, because what the hell is a concrete timeline in a Blizzard game, but he definitely would know about Efi, especially since he's the type of person to keep tabs on other scientists and read their work. He would be super interested once/if Orisa namedropped Efi as her creator.

Sure! He is going to do his best to wrap his head around this, and the help's appreciated.

Between the two of them, they're going to wind up with a full-on red yarn conspiracy board, except it'll be scientific theories instead of conspiracy theories.

I have both a Young Wizard and an Internet (both on Orange) who can talk science things - Nita in particular might show off a little with snippets from her time on Earth's Moon? They can talk about universal background radiation or something, who knows.

Alfredo (this account) is also trying to bring himself up to date on the... almost two centuries of technological development since his passing, so mentorship could be a thing!

There is an entire scientific research base on the moon where Siebren is from, so he will absolutely be interested in the dimensional differences in moon culture.

And there is nothing better than someone who is willing to learn! Siebren will absolutely be willing to mentor Alfredo, though he may need to be reminded to slow down on occasion.

While not... directly antagonistic to Sigma, I would love for Eight to be cautiously aware of him! She had the misfortune of playing lab rat to some rogue AI, and dealing with a human scientist would fill her with dread and curiosity (even though it would be in an ENTIRELY UNRELATED FIELD).

Or she could be keeping an eye to make sure that he doesn't cause the multiverse to explode, or something.

I would love a Suspicious Observer, especially since Siebren isn't a biologist in any capacity and would find it Odd.

Haha yeah... it'd take a pretty big leap to go into crazy town with astrophysic-oh...

Aaanywho, that being said, she's not completely against it, and is pretty capable on the engineering front. So if she's convinced that what he's doing is okay and won't kill people, she'd probably find it pretty interesting!

I am absolutely here for quirky mentor grandpas even if Alexis is not. Similarly, Alexis might be an interesting case for Siebren because in addition to being from a wildly different but also extremely similar universe from the rest of the cast, this is the second time she's been kidnapped by a mysterious force to do tasks in another universe and she'll very vocally complain about it.

I have two other Orange Team members that might interest him. Dairine is a young teen wizard who specializes in tech and space travel. Like her big sister Nita, she works with a sciency-style wizardry and is a big nerd.

And on the other hand, I have Sharon Vineyard, also known as Vermouth: who is also member of secretive criminal organization. She specializes in disguise and intel. For the moment, she's behaving and keeping her head low, so only certain people know the truth about her.
