New Team Orange Survey
This is a sort of fusion of Tony's Passenger IC Questionnaire with Eva's and Curufin's Orange Team Survey. The request is that all current Orange Team members fill it out, both old and new members. Please answer these questions IC.
Characters will find printed copies of this survey at the Orange Team meeting, and if anyone misses the meeting, they can get a copy from either Eva or Curufin.

How many years is the average lifespan of your species?. About the same as humans, but fewer of us reach an advanced age.

How many months/days in a month in your world’s calendar? Humans have a bunch of calendars. The moon takes 29.5 days to cycle its phases
What age is considered 'adult' in your culture? We generally can leave our parents after a year, but we cannot mate and have calves until we’re around six or seven. I know humans do these in the other order.
Technology:
What is the most advanced technological device in your world? That I’ve seen? Well, two years moving around on the surface means I can use a ‘computer’, and I’ve been to space under technological means. Or possibly integrated magic and technology. Computers exist on my homeworld, but whales do not build them, and humans aren’t really ready to accept they share their world with other intelligent species. Most humans.
Is this train something new or are there trains like this in your world? One that goes through the Void? Humans have trains; not ones that go through the Void. The world of Vaikuntha had airships that could enter the space between worlds, which they called the Dream Width.
What is a common piece of technology you use regularly?Me personally? I brought my iMog slate home with me from Vaikuntha. But it's not like whales normally carry around those things on Earth. Even wizards.
Are you skilled/ comfortable with using technology?. Only relative to other whales.
Have you identified any objects here on the train you need or would like a tutorial on?. No, so far I've found people to ask things when I have questions.
Magic/ Spiritual:
Does your world use magic? Yes
Do you use magic? Yes
What is it based on? The Speech. It's... the language that underlies everything. Wizards are granted Enacture by the Powers that Be, which allows us to use a form of the Speech to change the world.
Common place or kept secret? Depends on the species. It's not a secret in the seas of Earth, but it is among humans.
Are there gods worshiped or recognized where you are from? I'm not really clear on that word; from what I understand, some humans consider the Powers That Be as being the same as their god or gods.
Are these gods beings of great power that one could meet or are they purely spiritual/ faith-based? Depends on the person. It's not a normal encounter, but nearly every wizard has encountered at least one of Them.
Is there anything that could be provided to you to assist in your religious practices on board? I'm not sure I understand the question.
Inventory:
What items were in your rucksack upon waking? Specifically, did anything come with you from your home world? If so, what was it? Not my homeworld, but an item I acquired from my previous world. They called it an iMog slate, but I think it's a 'tablet computer'.
Do you have items in your inventory that you have used to help with train projects or mission goals? Magical objects, weapons, communication devices, or any other useful items? I tend to travel light.
Medical
Do you have any medical conditions or issues that are being treated by a doctor? No.
Do you have any known allergies or special dietary needs? I'm carnivorous. Normally humpback whales can go some time without eating, but since I'm smaller, I need to eat more regularly.
Companions/World Events
Is there anyone from your world here? Were they here before you got here or arrived at the same time? Two people, Nita Callahan and Dairine Callahan were here to greet me.
Has there been a war in your world recently? Were you involved in it? I don't know human history well enough to place it. Wizards were involved in the Pullulus War; I'm not sure how to place that relative to my time frame given time to flow between worlds. At the time, I was temporarily in charge of Earth's wetside wizards, which... I don't want to do again until I am much older. If ever.
Are there known threats to your city, country, world, galaxy, etc? Just the normal progression of entropy in its many forms.
What was happening when you were taken from your time and woke up on the train platform?. I was in a different universe, having assisted in defeating a worlds-spanning threat there.
What were some of the recent big events that have occurred before you woke? The Pullullus War. I don't know what humans would notice. Ask Nita. I can give an accounting of Vaikunthan current events.
If you had not been taken at that point in time, would you still be alive?. Yes.
Skills
What are your particular skills and abilities? Professional, technical, crafts, magical, physical, martial arts or weapons skills, etc.? List them below:. Wizardry. Swimming. The 'asterisks' I was granted on Vaikuntha, which give some of their local magic. (Strangely enough, they also granted some skill at human weapons, which I'm not sure I understand.). I can shape-shift, but only to a human. I can also return to my normal size and back to the size that fits in the train.
How did you use these skills and abilities in your own world or other worlds before you came to the Voidtrecker Express? A wizard is called to aid life.
Do you have any skills you'd like to teach?. I don't think I can teach any of them except to a wizard or a whale.
