Welcome to our Test Drive Meme! Here is the place to see how your character might fit the setting, grab some samples and start having fun!

What to do on a train.

The problem with trains is you are unable to get off them. Whilst hurtling through an ever changing void that’s probably a good thing all told but it can lead to boredom. Or at least it does if you don’t think creatively enough!

What can you do in a standard coach? Well the obvious, most practical use is a comfy place to sit, in relative solitude as long as no one sits too close. Read a book if you’ve the points to buy one, or write in your journal.

But thinking outside the box a standard coach is also a pretty good climbing course, up and down over the rows of seats, there’s even gaps under the seats if you want to add to the challenge. Or you could just play the floor is lava.

Escorting Dralite

Dralite: Small, bat like creatures. As chicks they are about the size of a beach ball, however it soon becomes apparent that they are predominantly made of wings. Unfurled the creature is tiny with massive wings, spanning a meter long each. It is obvious why they need an escort, they cannot yet fly and their movement is severely hampered by their disproportionate wing size. They will happily cling to any friendly creatures.

Adult dralite are about the size of a sheep with large wings and large claws. They are teritorial but not overtly hostile unless provoked.

Dralite have a screech that will floor most creatures, knocking them down disoriented. As chicks their screech will stun, giving them time to escape from danger.

This world has a sizable colony and a group of humans who preserve and look after the huge dralite nests. However it seems like a group of chicks have gone missing, poachers are suspected, probably planning on selling the chicks off world.

Team One Is to track down the missing dralite. There are clues, footprints, other tracks and rumours of an unauthorised camp of humans in the area. Follow the tracks, check out the camp, see if you can find who took the dralite chicks and where they are being kept.

Team Two Is to rescue the chicks by any means necessary. Be that sneaking in and stealing them back or bursting in to challenge the poachers and put an end to their operation once and for all.

Team Three The remaining chicks still need looked after, especially with many of the volunteers helping hunt down the missing ones. They are needy creatures that cannot mover very far on their own so rely on clinging to other species to get around. You might just find yourself with a new dralite hat or cloak clinging to you, trying to get comfy. They shriek whenever they are afraid or don’t get their way and are likely to wrap their wings around your head if things get too scary. Good luck!

Around the Campfire

Once the chicks are back safe and sound it is time for a celebration. A huge BBQ and campfire is set up for a tasty feast. Just remember to share the meat with your new dralite friends or they will get sad and sulky and that could lead to trouble.

There’s lots of food and afterwards the dralite conservationists will tell stories around the fire, inviting the trekkers to do the same. Wanting to know of the different worlds they have been to, the adventures they’ve been on. Or if real life tale telling is not for you then they will settle for a good ghost story.

"Not in my world." He shakes his head. "Although I suppose if yours does, then I can't add those points. Uhhh. Hm. I could add points for minions?"

She laughed. "Good has minions too, they just choose a nicer name."

"Ah, but then choosing a nicer name counts as a good thing, right? So that's still a point."

"Unless it is done to throw the minions a bone to keep them loyal."

"True, but if we go by motive, it becomes trickier than if we go by ~aesthetic~!"

"And if we were going by aesthetic..." She waved her hands to take in her long purple hair, her distressed and studded purple black and green leather jacket and matching pants, the spike heeled purple and black boots. "Where would I fall out, I wonder?" she asked, smirking. She knew how she looked. Rotten. To The Core.

He sits up and considers her look.

"Hm. It's a bit too Harajuku to be truly villainous - definitely rebellious though."

"Harawhatku?" See, you're not the only one who could make up words.

"It's a district in Tokyo. Famous for youth fashion! Not as much these days, but you can still get some cool kids in eclectic fashions on weekends. Lots of different substyles too. Yours...mm. I'd peg it as punk or visual kei mebbe!"

"Now I know you're just making words up." Her best friend was all about fashion. If these were real terms she'd have heard them so often she could identify them in her sleep. Punk was the only one that made any sense there.

"Am not." He says cheerfully. "But I figure since you aren't Japanese, you probably wouldn't register them. I am though. Harajuku's only a train-ride away from my place. It's a good spot to source costumes."

Oh the incredulous and very nearly offended look she gave him at that. "Costumes?!"

He laughs.

"You'd be amazed at what you can pull out of good costume shop, don't knock it! I find more gems there than I do in thrift shops for when I want to pull together something in a hurry. Haven't you ever seen a good cosplayer? They're really dedicated, and their gear is amazing."

[mal_contented]

"I have no clue what a cosplayer is, thank you very much," she said, her voice a bit chilly. Thrift shops? Back on the Isle she went through trash to find clothes she could modify to wear. On Auradon it was all purchased or designed by her best friend. So she was vaguely aware of thrift shops, but knew no one who actually went to them. Well, there were a few places on the isle that might qualify, if only just. Still. On principal, she chose to be offended.

"Really? You guys don't have cosplay? What about fans?" He looks at her puzzled. "I thought for sure... your outfit, it's got all the hallmarks of a really dedicated fan-costumer, especially one who wants to suggest without copying exactly. Good color placement, a hand-made look, subtle suggestive hints scattered. I don't recognise who the original inspiration is though."

"Um no," she said, irritated. "This is just my look."

"Huh." He says, impressed. "Did you make it yourself?"

[mal_contented]

"Some of it, some of it my best friend made. So what?"

[stealsyourheart]

"Oh man, I gotta meet this friend of yours and see if they do commission." He sighs. "Although I suppose they're probably not in my world so that wouldn't work. Anyway. No, that's why I would call it a harajuku style outfit, y'see. It's a style that takes things that wouldn't normally go together and makes it work. It's very much a style that's unique to each person. It's not unusual because of that for them to maybe end up in costuming at some point. When you don't want to look mainstream but you aren't sure where to start, people copy stylist hints off movies or tv shows or favourite characters from games or something. Also, you can earn decent pocket money off commissions, if you're good"

"Given my friend is buying a castle off of her profits making dresses, pretty sure she passed good a few years ago," she said, dryly. "But I can tell her someone on the train is looking for some new clothing. You clearly need a style update. Though if you insult her, you answer to me, got it?"

"Niiiiiiice." He nods appreciatively. "Meaning I probably can't afford her rates, damn. Ah well. If she'll talk to me, I'd be glad to chat!"

"Never know unless you ask."

She rolled her eyes and shrugged.

He chuckles, slumping back over and starting to shuffle cards again.

"So why do you wanna be evil, specifically? And not like. I dunno. Chaotic Neutral or something."
