Mission Guide (IC Document)

OOC Note: A new version to be uploaded by Elle.
MISSIONS.
Before the end of the first week of every month, passengers will receive an alert from their SCA with a brief overview of both the mission destination and each team's objective. The amount of time given to prepare before arrival varies but is usually around 1-2 hours, and equipment will be made available in the dressing room if required.

SCAs are recommended to take with you as they're known to help protect the wearer from a world's atmosphere and to translate languages. They have also been used to transport passengers back to the train automatically, and have functioned as comm devices between different teams once before.

As far as is known by those onboard, these missions are not approved by any governing law and the train is under investigation by the 'Void Ministry'. A transcript on what we know about this can be found in the library.

Points for the onboard shop can be earned on missions, though how you’re evaluated is unknown.

TEAM OVERVIEW.
RED TEAM: Hunt, search and eliminate. Commonly sent out on the more dangerous tasks to take out large threats. Requires those who can defend themselves and with skilled offensive capabilities.
BLUE TEAM: Search, guard and protect. Will usually involve protecting a central area/leadership or searching for stragglers not dealt with by Purple Team. Combat experience usually required.
PURPLE TEAM: Protect, clear and evacuate. Regularly a mix of protecting civilians and combat.
ORANGE TEAM: Investigate and escort. Least likely to get in combat. Mostly required to prepare evacuees, to work on or disarm machinery, or to locate problems.

BLACK&WHITE SQUAD: Not a train designed group but a passenger one. Run by the Spider (known as Kumoko by some), members can be teleported between different teams to help provide medical (white) or combat (black) aid when and as they need it. Any questions can be passed onto her or Roland Crane.

So far, there have been no penalties for team swapping or for not participating on a mission. Those who want to take on the objective of another team is recommended based on what you can do. Anyone who thinks they can handle a Red or Blue mission are encouraged due to both teams having half the numbers. Speak to Team Leads for assessment if you like, or reach out to the more experienced passengers by the ICP.

Decide on your mission based on your own skill set and the mission objective. Those interested in learning abilities useful for missions (combat, survival, magic, etc) should check out the classes offered in the training gym.

TEAM LEADS.
Team Leads help to keep track of those participating in their Team mission and to help supply information about their objective and how to organise individuals to better execute their mission. Any mission based questions and suggestions should go to your Team Lead.

SUPPLIES.
Efforts are being made to accumulate supplies from different worlds (mission based or through the shop), and also by passenger skills onboard. Anyone with the ability to craft items should contact Lightning (Sleeper 1, Cabin A) to discuss required ingredients and where to store. Anything from potions, weaponry to barriers and so forth are welcomed.
