Welcome to our Test Drive Meme! Here is the place to see how your character might fit the setting, grab some samples and start having fun!

1. Post with your character. I’ve written out some prompts but feel free to make up your own, you have a whole train to play with!

Training Gym

Fight club have finally gotten a gym to train in. Train carriages make strange gyms, long narrow spaces. But this has mats, balance beams, climbing apparatus. Pads and training dummies for punching. It also has large blocks that look a little like what you might find in a children's play centre but can be used to make obstacle courses or provide cover in training exercises.

Set up a course, practice fighting or try and learn how to throw a punch! There are plenty who will help, people who take training super seriously and let's face it, people who want to ambush others from behind oversized foam blocks.

Games

For those for whom fighting is not an idea of fun, or those wanting more relaxation, the games carriage has a whole collection of different games. Board games, card games, dice games. There are many games about trains but they aren't the only type.

There are low tables in the carriage to set a game up on and plenty of beanbags and cushions to sit on. Grab a game, grab a friend or a complete stranger and get playing!

Water Maze

The latest mission has taken the voidtreckers to an underwater maze. They have been given wet suits, helmets and breathing apparatus- lightweight boxes that strap to their back, connect to their helmet and filter air from the water. A powerful and dangerous artifact has been stolen and the race is on to get it back before it is used for ill.

Team One

Plenty of monsters and foes have been sent to try and retrieve the item. Giant crabs, strange eels. Even people with fish tails and the ability to breathe underwater. All are dangerous foes and fighting underwater is difficult.

But team one are the vanguard, keeping the monster levels low to allow team two to push on through the maze.

Team Two

Hopefully team one will deal with the monsters, but the odd one might sneak through. Team two's main job is to solve the maze, because the thief is in the centre in order to perform his ritual.

It's a race against time, the maze is made of coral and walls of seaweed that are impossible to cut through. Solving it requires a quick mind and some determined swimming.

Team Three

For those not wishing to brave the water, or those whose skills lie more in helping others. The island where the artefact was stolen from needs help. The temple was ransacked and some of the islanders were injured. Help them fix their homes, put the temple back to rights, tend to the injured.

Cleaning the temple is a big job, but hopefully by the time the artefact has been retrieved it will be able to be restored to it's rightful place.

Ichig moved his hand from Kaseri's snout to rub her neck, making sure to pet her with the grain of her fur. "Well, you're clearly taking very good care of her because she seems to be very happy."

"Heheheeeee~ Thanks man! 'm more used t' goats 'n such, but I'm doin' my best I figure!"

One could wonder why goats are anywhere near the metro area of Tokyo given the blond's accent, but hey, whatever.

"Goats, huh? Only thing I know about those are from videos I've watched online." Ichigo grinned, rising back to his feet. "I'm Ichigo, by the way." He stuck his hand out at the other man invitingly.

"Jonouchi Katsuya..!" he introduces- he's...pretty sure the other guy just gave his first name, so it feels weird just giving up his last one...

He'll take that hand though. "And uh..yeah," he laughs, rubbing the back of his head. "Got t' help out at one of th' farms in Alola, so..." Not to mention a decade or so of prior life experience, but that would sound a bit weirder.

"Nice to meet you, Jonouchi-san." Ichigo gave him a firm handshake and a smile. "Have you been here on the train for long?"

[luckydragonsfoot]

[Honorifics........................so weird...

But!] Nah, not really. Pretty much jus' got on, stupid hail...

"Same here." Ichigo picked up his water bottle that he'd snagged from the kitchen and took a drink. "Glad to be out of the weather, though."

[luckydragonsfoot]

"Tell me abou' it! Everyone's sayin' 's two weeks of train, 'n talkin' abou' how crap it is, but sheesh at least it ain't raining indoors!"

The thought of rain inside the train made Ichigo snort softly. "Honestly? That wouldn't be the weirdest thing I've ever even seen."

[luckydragonsfoot]

Katsuya opens his mouth to argue that- but then he pauses, and frowns.

"....y'know what, I act'lly can't tell 'f it's th' weirdest thing I'd ever see either." It probably? Isn't?

It probably isn't.

Ichigo decided not to point out that his inner world would have rain if his mood was particularly sour. Or, in fact, that he had an inner world. "So, do you know how to fight?"

[luckydragonsfoot]

"Heh! Heck yeah I do! Doesn' matter what someone comes at me with, I'll take 'm!"

Bold words, but he sounds like he at least believes them!

That made Ichigo grin, and he stretched his shoulders by pulling one arm across his chest and then repeating the motion with his other arm. "Wanna spar, then?"

A...

Spar? Katsuya pauses, and then slowly grins. He hasn't really had the chance to spar recently- he did it a few times while training for security (and it was bizarre at first, being used to fights in more serious situations), but there weren't really any chances after. It was fun then so...

"Heh! Sure thing!!"

[strawberryprotector]

"Any rules you wanna agree on other than tap outs if it goes to grappling?" There was an almost feral grin on Ichigo's face as he moved away from the heavy bag toward some mats that were laid out on the ground.

[luckydragonsfoot]

"Hmmmm, other than tap outs..."

Katsuya has to think about that. "Well, I guess where I used t' fight, there were some rules abou' fightin' dirty after th' firs' time I went for it..."

Sometimes you just have to fight dirty in a fight! It happens.

Nodding at that, Ichigo crouched to stretch his legs out. "No ball shots, no eyes, no biting?"

"Heh! Sounds good t' me! Let's go!"

Sinking back into a fighting stance, Ichigo grinned at Jonouchi. "Bring it on."
