Welcome to our Test Drive Meme! Here is the place to see how your character might fit the setting, grab some samples and start having fun!

Training Gym

Fight club have finally gotten a gym to train in. Train carriages make strange gyms, long narrow spaces. But this has mats, balance beams, climbing apparatus. Pads and training dummies for punching. It also has large blocks that look a little like what you might find in a children's play centre but can be used to make obstacle courses or provide cover in training exercises.

Set up a course, practice fighting or try and learn how to throw a punch! There are plenty who will help, people who take training super seriously and let's face it, people who want to ambush others from behind oversized foam blocks.

Games

For those for whom fighting is not an idea of fun, or those wanting more relaxation, the games carriage has a whole collection of different games. Board games, card games, dice games. There are many games about trains but they aren't the only type.

There are low tables in the carriage to set a game up on and plenty of beanbags and cushions to sit on. Grab a game, grab a friend or a complete stranger and get playing!

Water Maze

The latest mission has taken the voidtreckers to an underwater maze. They have been given wet suits, helmets and breathing apparatus- lightweight boxes that strap to their back, connect to their helmet and filter air from the water. A powerful and dangerous artifact has been stolen and the race is on to get it back before it is used for ill.

Team One

Plenty of monsters and foes have been sent to try and retrieve the item. Giant crabs, strange eels. Even people with fish tails and the ability to breathe underwater. All are dangerous foes and fighting underwater is difficult.

But team one are the vanguard, keeping the monster levels low to allow team two to push on through the maze.

Team Two

Hopefully team one will deal with the monsters, but the odd one might sneak through. Team two's main job is to solve the maze, because the thief is in the centre in order to perform his ritual.

It's a race against time, the maze is made of coral and walls of seaweed that are impossible to cut through. Solving it requires a quick mind and some determined swimming.

Team Three

For those not wishing to brave the water, or those whose skills lie more in helping others. The island where the artefact was stolen from needs help. The temple was ransacked and some of the islanders were injured. Help them fix their homes, put the temple back to rights, tend to the injured.

Cleaning the temple is a big job, but hopefully by the time the artefact has been retrieved it will be able to be restored to it's rightful place.

Used to... it? [Were others just coming up to him and kissing him? Okay, maybe Prompto... Oh no, did Prompto know? He needed to make sure one he was done here.]

My Noct can see, yeah...

[Almost without thought, Gladio found himself lifting a hand to brush gentle fingers high across this Noct's cheek, then to tuck a lock of hair behind his ear.]

... You really can't see me?

[Thankfully, no.]

Mistaken identity.

[He flinches ever-so-slightly when he feels fingers on his cheek, but relaxes when they simply move back.]

Nope. Nothing...you, the train, nothing.

[This might not have been his Noct, but he was still Noct. And still knew him, he'd said his name and hadn't run away from him... While he might not know the details (and he would know them), that was clear in his mind.

So was it any wonder a little bit of his heart broke hearing those words?

Or any wonder he ended up grabbing Noct and pulling him into a tight hug.]

Dammit... How? How did that happen?

[Translation: Who did he need to kill for doing this to his King?]

[Maybe eventually he'd tell Gladio off for constantly doing things that startle him, but now is not that time, because this is clearly a hug and he can't recall a Gladio hug or having seen Gladio hug anyone that wasn't Iris once or twice.]

Ardyn happened, because he's a dick.

[And just for a bit of a dig:]

Didn't know you did hugs. Are you sure you're Gladio?

... That asshole has a hell of a lot to answer for. [There was a very pissed off growl to Gladio's voice. While he hadn't seen all of the interesting things that bastard had done, he'd heard about them. And he'd heard enough to know if he were to ever show up on the train, he would be killed straight out. No questions. Just instant death. Gladio would have no remorse.

And then the next question.

Gladio's anger slipped and he pulled back to look down at Noct and gave a low laugh.]

I do hugs. And I'm Gladio... but I guess I'm more free with them here.

[Back home he wouldn't have felt as comfortable to hug anyone quite like this. But he had hugged, usually just an arm around shoulders kinds of hugs, that was as affectionate as he could risk.]

You're telling me. Good luck ever getting rid of him...I've killed him once and he came back like nothing happened.

[Probably because Noct has to be the one to kill him, or something. Stupid gods and their stupid inability to deal with things in a reasonable manner. Speaking of that, he has to wonder if things have gotten worse in the last year since he's been gone. Has Eos even noticed his disappearance?]

I bet the other me appreciates that.

[Appreciated? Is he still here somewhere?]

[Gladio just smirked and gave a dark chuckle.]

Don't worry, Princess. He comes back I'll happily camp his corpse and keep on killing him. I'll make it my damn job. Better, my joy to make his life a misery.

[After what he'd done to Prompto and his Noct and Ignis, after Luna... and now this Noct here? Gladio wanted nothing more than to slowly torture this asshole and kill him over and over if he dared to keep coming back.]

Now, you gonna tell me what the hell actually happened? And... [His expression cleared a little, the anger at Ardyn fading some as something occurred to him]... where the hell I was when it did...

[He snorts at that.]

Nice.

[The smile that mental image put on his face fades, though, at the two questions.]

I..don't know where you were. Occupied, or far away..I don't know. It was in Altissa, after the Hydragean's trial and I just kinda collapsed on the altar. Couldn't move for anything and then I felt someone's hand on my face.

[The details are super fuzzy after months of not talking about it but he's trying to recall as best he can.]

There was pain and then I woke up in a hotel room.

[For just a moment he was proud of himself for getting a smile. But then that smile went away and Gladio had to frown at it's absense.... and his own.]

I was... what? I was occupied? [And then he sighed. Altissia... He'd never been there but already it was a hated place.]

So... you didn't come straight here from Altissia?

I don't know what you were doing, just that you weren't there.

And no, last time I was home, we were camping out in Insomnia, trying to come up with a plan to bring back daylight that was better than the Six's.

[Should he...mention he was on an entirely different planet before he ended up on this train? That'll surely bring up a whole lot more questions.]

Then I'm confused... Where were you before here?

Last thing I know before getting here was the reactor at Lestallum. Prompto remembers being kicked off a train... Noct was at Altissia. We all came from different points. But you...

[There was something off and Gladio couldn't put his finger on it, and it wasn't just that this Noct was blind.]
