Welcome to our Test Drive Meme! Here is the place to see how your character might fit the setting, grab some samples and start having fun!

1. Post with your character. I’ve written out some prompts but feel free to make up your own, you have a whole train to play with!

Training Gym

Fight club have finally gotten a gym to train in. Train carriages make strange gyms, long narrow spaces. But this has mats, balance beams, climbing apparatus. Pads and training dummies for punching. It also has large blocks that look a little like what you might find in a children's play centre but can be used to make obstacle courses or provide cover in training exercises.

Set up a course, practice fighting or try and learn how to throw a punch! There are plenty who will help, people who take training super seriously and let's face it, people who want to ambush others from behind oversized foam blocks.

Games

For those for whom fighting is not an idea of fun, or those wanting more relaxation, the games carriage has a whole collection of different games. Board games, card games, dice games. There are many games about trains but they aren't the only type.

There are low tables in the carriage to set a game up on and plenty of beanbags and cushions to sit on. Grab a game, grab a friend or a complete stranger and get playing!

Water Maze

The latest mission has taken the voidtreckers to an underwater maze. They have been given wet suits, helmets and breathing apparatus- lightweight boxes that strap to their back, connect to their helmet and filter air from the water. A powerful and dangerous artifact has been stolen and the race is on to get it back before it is used for ill.

Team One

Plenty of monsters and foes have been sent to try and retrieve the item. Giant crabs, strange eels. Even people with fish tails and the ability to breathe underwater. All are dangerous foes and fighting underwater is difficult.

But team one are the vanguard, keeping the monster levels low to allow team two to push on through the maze.

Team Two

Hopefully team one will deal with the monsters, but the odd one might sneak through. Team two's main job is to solve the maze, because the thief is in the centre in order to perform his ritual.

It's a race against time, the maze is made of coral and walls of seaweed that are impossible to cut through. Solving it requires a quick mind and some determined swimming.

Team Three

For those not wishing to brave the water, or those whose skills lie more in helping others. The island where the artefact was stolen from needs help. The temple was ransacked and some of the islanders were injured. Help them fix their homes, put the temple back to rights, tend to the injured.

Cleaning the temple is a big job, but hopefully by the time the artefact has been retrieved it will be able to be restored to it's rightful place.

[Because he could tell there was potential gaps that one could end up hitting instead if that was to happen and he would rather avoid anyone getting hurt if he can help it.]

Awww, it'll probably be alrigh'! Y' don' have t' do that...

[So he says, but it's probably a good idea if Yugi does it anyway. This would be far from the first time his friend insisted things would be 'fine', only for them to quickly become 'not fine'.]

I'm...still going to just in case. it never hurts.

[Plus it's soft either way. Once he had finished setting up, he went to sit down nearby.]

I have to ask what are you practicing by doing this?

What it looks like! [he shouted down with a grin, flashing a thumbs up.] She can make stuff float, so we're gonna make stuff-

[Kaseri, at this point, has apparently noticed there is someone else staying in the room.

As she turns, her mane stops glowing.]

fLOO-OOOAAAH-!

[Idly, Katsuya feels grateful for the extra cubes.]

Dammit...

[Kaseri just takes the time to trot over and whinny at CoolMaybeFamilyPerson. She's never seen black in someone's 'mane', but there's colours here!!]

[Yugi couldn't help but look concerned and at least glad he did actually make sure there was a very soft landing for them. He honestly hadn't been expecting that to actually happen even if deep down he knew it had to be a possibility.

His first thought though was to check the other really was okay.]

A-Are you okay?

[He soon looked over to the pony for a moment. It certainly was an interesting pony of all things.]

I guess you got distracted because I was here, huh? Hello there. [And he was just going to be polite like he is to most people.]

Nyyyhh... [A pause.]

...I've had worse, [he calls back 'reassuringly', groaning as he hauls himself off the cubes.] Geeze, they're like a sinkhole... [WHY ARE THEY IMPOSSIBLE TO ESCAPE

Kaseri gives another very cheery whinny, and butts her head at the other's hand. Fortunately not the part where the horn is.]

Yeeeugggh...Righ'...guess we gotta work on keepin' her attention, so tha' doesn't happen at th' wrong momen', [he grumbles, eventually standing.]

Uh...Anyway, guess I forgot t' introduce y' both. Yugi, th's Kaseri, Kaseri, th's Yugi! She's uh...

...Like a pony but smarter.

...

An' small.

[Nailed it.]

They are rather...hard to get out of.

[He felt bad in even watching him struggle in such a way that he figured he should at least try to help. At least until his attention was back to the whatever it was. Kaseri he said thier name was at least.]

So a unique, but small pony, got it. Hello Kaseri, maybe next time you should let him down first before trying to get my attention.

NYyyyhhhhh....

[Slowly, slowly, he's getting out.

And rolling onto the floor.

Oof.] Yeah! She's uh, she's from th' las' world I got stuck in...all th' animals there are more like duel monsters, if y' ask me, [he groans, standing up.] Eh...I figure tha's more her getting distracted 'f anything, 's not th' first time...

[That should be a clue to stop practicing this way, but will he take it? Never.]

Last world you got stuck in?

[So was this not the first time for him? What kind of world had he gone to before?]

So they are from that world and came with you when you came here? And it's not the first time she has caused you to float...if I am getting everything correct.

Oh, yeah! B'fore I woke up on th' station, I was in a completely differen' place...they jus' called th' planet earth anyway, but the countries had loads of differen' names! I think Japan was basically split in four even! [Best he could tell at least.]

Anyway, in here it was deliberate. I figure, if she c'n float me up somewhere I need t' be, then that just makes it better righ'?

Huh, I guess there really is a load of different earths.

[If the number of people on the train was anything to go by why did he only just think of that now?]

Hm, I guess by reaching areas we might not be able to get to otherwise on missions. It would be a good idea at least.

Yeah, loads! Sometimes ev'n th' 'same ones', like versions where only one thing was differen'! Like uh...

[He scratches his head, trying to come up with a way to put it.] ...Like...If there was a world where y' grew yer hair out! [he ultimately decides on, grinning. He had other options, ones that existed true, but those felt a little much to put on the table.

Also imagining his friend with long hair is hysterical.]

I jus' hope I can get Kaseri t' stay on focus before we need it. Wouldn' be great if it happened out there...

[Yugi couldn't help but want to give a little chuckle. Him growing his hair out... He had to wonder how that would actually work. The image was amusing tho.]

I mean if I did that, my hair just wouldn't be tamed and who knows what would happen.

[And he chuckled at what he said, though in his mind it was a little bit of truth anyway.]

As for Kaseri I can always try and help if it's needed

Hah! Righ'? I bet it'd be worse than Bakura's! [he laughed- and boy, could Bakura's hair look a mess on the wrong day.

Focusing back on the ponyta, Katsuya just shrugs.] Man, 'f you've got ideas I'm all ears- we've been t'gether for months, an' this is probably the best she's been w' focus yet.

[At least with regard to something that wasn't a fight, or her own precise interest.]

[He chuckled slightly. Considering Bakura's hair... Yeah, it could be much worse.]

I don't have ideas right now, but if I think of anything, I will let you know.
