Test Drive Meme 012
1. Post with your character. I’ve written out some prompts but feel free to make up your own, you have a whole train to play with!
2. Assume they have been around long enough for threads to jump right into the action!
3. Have much fun!
Happy testing!
Film Night
The newest carriage on the Voidtrecker Express is the long awaited cinema! It hosts many films and TV series. Perfect if passengers wish to waste an afternoon without worrying about being stolen from their worlds and hurtling through the void between worlds.
Dashing adventures, chair gripping horrors or adorable adventures of the Merry Little Voidtrain. There is something for everyone, though with only one screen arguments may be inevitable.
Fight Club
The gym carriage is definitely created more for ball games than sparring but that hasn't stopped the passengers adapting as best they can. There are homemade training dummies and plenty of people who use the space to work out and get ready for the next mission.
But there is also a cupboard full of every ball for almost every ball game there is, the two activities in one space may make for a little chaos.
Spar with people, play football. Create some mix of basketball and mixed martial arts. All training counts, right?
Jungle Heights
The latest mission has taken them to a vast jungle, where people live high in the trees. There has been an influx of tree dwelling creatures with sharp teeth, sharper claws and a love of destruction. To make things better the forest floor is not safe, damp and marshy many creatures lurk there ready to bite at ankles and it is home to a root, the sap of which burns.
Team One
Treetop fighting is an acquired skill and one the voidtreckers are having to learn quickly. Swing on vine ropes and tangle with monsters. Quick movement and quicker thinking is needed to take down the creatures in terrain they are naturals at traversing.
Team Two
People here live on platforms in the trees, with bridges and walkways connecting them. Fend off the creatures and chase them away from peoples homes. At least there is slightly solider ground beneath their feet, but they must be careful not to fall to the jungle floor beneath.
Team Three
Many of the people here are not fighters and they need help to get somewhere safer. It's a tough journey through the forest, especially when they leave the bridges and platforms of the village behind. Children may need carried and climbing from one tree to another is difficult even with sturdy branches to walk along.
They must be careful to stay in the trees, avoid getting too close to the forest floor but do not get too high, lest they attract the creatures.
kitchen
Candy making was something new and with being both a scholar and a chef, the advisor was intrigued. So after completing his coffee he took a sip of the beverage, and his green eyes went to a cabinet.
Moving the mug down, he looked over at the person. He and Evie had worked on soap molds.."I apologize as I didn't mean to eavesdrop..but did I overhear you mention a mold?"
no subject
She then looks over at the tea pot, "Tea candies are probably better plain though. At least till I can find some butterscotch and pumpkin flavorings.... And some real honey I guess."
no subject
And then she had..spider and pumpkin molds? This could get rather interesting.
"We do have honey aboard..but if you're looking for something more particular..we do have a train shop to purchase things from."
no subject
With that she lets out a deep sigh, "I really don't want to be reduced to archery again."
"But as for the candies, when I started out, I had some image issues, so.... It was easier to give people candy than convince them that what I was casting wasn't death and destruction all the time."
no subject
Ignis shook his head. "I'm sure we could find something that works for you."
But he took a sip of more coffee and pondered her next set of words. Death and destruction..? "I'm sorry..you said casting destruction spells?" Was she the same as Noct?
no subject
She takes the tea off the heat and pours herself a cup, then the rest in the pot she is working with, "I had a rod that a famous dwarven smith made... And when I had to replace it, I had to find his line again to make a new one."
Staring at the sugar and tea mixing she shakes her head, "I got really bad with time for a while."
no subject
There was more odd talk of a dwarf to remake a rod and something about finding his line to have it redone. So he had more coffee, trying to gather his swirling thoughts. After a moment it lowered again to inquire.
"Time..simply passed by quickly?"
no subject
With that she shrugs a bit and sips her tea, "Pretty sure if you're not a little bit crazy by 400 then you were always that way."
"Just what IS that you are drinking? It kind of looks like tea, but smells off."
no subject
There was a tiny smile as he listened to the mage about being crazy and could only imagine. Was it by magic that she managed to live that long? Would anyone truly wish such a thing? And then those thoughts were interrupted by the question.
The advisor then removed himself from his position and slowly moved and set the beverage down. "It's called coffee. Do they not have that where you're from?"
no subject
"I've never seen it. It is possible it showed up somewhere on Aldore in the last 700 years, but I was stuck on Lapis. Is it natural, scientific, or magical in creation? It doesn't smell alchemical."
no subject
Hell it was so magical that it kept him happy along with all of the other fighters and non fighters alike on the train. Coffee here was a bit different of course than the beloved cans of Ebony he drank back home. But this was a good enough substitute in and of itself.
no subject
She peers into the percolator and pinches some of the coffee grinds, sniffing them a bit, "Is this part garbage, or supposed to be eaten with it?"
no subject
Seeing Sakura poke and peek into the coffee grounds had him smile and pick his cup back up. Moving over to the refrigerator, he shook his head.
"They can be reused for other things I'm told such as fertilizer and cleaning pots and pans." That was just a start, but he grabbed a premade batch of the honeycakes he'd made for Buttercup and moved over to the oven to preheat it.
"But if you're hungry, give me about ten to fifteen minutes and I can fix that."
no subject
She shrugs, "So this ship thing, it does its own farming as well? Haven't seen that area, but I haven't gone exploring much, just was trying to figure out a routine."
no subject
But he busily worked on the preparation of the honey cakes and once they were in the oven, he started in on the cream cheese frosting with a smile.
"You're on a train actually, but yes. We do so happen to have some pretty talented hands at making sure new growth flourishes in a rather odd place." How they were able to do so without sunlight, Ignis had no idea. He was just the cook..and any other hat required by Tony or Noct.
no subject
"Well I do hard candies. There was a bean on Paladia called chocolate that was used to make romance candies that I've only a little experience with. Also I've done a bit of work with putting butter and sugar together to make a sweat paste. But I haven't figured out how to enchant either of those."
"Still, I may like to see the place they grow our foods, maybe it at least has a natural looking sky."
no subject
Colour him intrigued.
"If you made those, I do believe we have someone on board who would pass them out for you." Namely sailor Venus.
He turned and pulled the honey cakes out to put the now thoroughly mixed cream cheese frosting on and then put them right back in. "If you would like a tour after these cakes are out we can go if you would like."
no subject
She shrugs at that and sips her tea, "I wouldn't say no to a tour, at least after I get these candies cooling and drying out. They should be safe here, right? I'm not 100% sure what would happen if someone gorged themselves on inactive magic candy."
no subject
Curiouser and curiouser.
"I beg your pardon, did you say courtship rituals? Would you mind explaining it to me?" Was this like the flowers and candy thing Tony had mentioned to him? If so it would be delightful if these things were similar in different worlds.
The last part had him worried. "I'm afraid if you do leave them hanging about, one of the children will come get them." That left the part about where to put them or whether to stay put until they were done.
no subject
"As for the candies, is there a deep freeze? I can mark them a magic experiment and they look a lot like crystal while preparing and really, who'd want to eat that?"
no subject
The last part was a mental stop though he knew better than to talk about a lady's age. IF she was stuck at twelve for..how long had she said? Yes, he certainly was just going to let it go and focus on the question he could solve. So he took a sip of coffee and then set the mug down, walking over to where he was talking about next.
"Yes, we have a deep freezer. We could relocate them to the back." And they would be safe there for a bit of time at least.
no subject
She then stops, thinks of everyone she knows back home, and shakes her head. "You know... Maybe I don't want the answer to that."
no subject
"I placed them in the very back, which should ensure their safety." This was Ignis attempting to be comforting, usually people knew if stuff was way in the back , it was for a damned good reason.
