Film Night

The newest carriage on the Voidtrecker Express is the long awaited cinema! It hosts many films and TV series. Perfect if passengers wish to waste an afternoon without worrying about being stolen from their worlds and hurtling through the void between worlds.

Dashing adventures, chair gripping horrors or adorable adventures of the Merry Little Voidtrain. There is something for everyone, though with only one screen arguments may be inevitable.

Fight Club

The gym carriage is definitely created more for ball games than sparring but that hasn't stopped the passengers adapting as best they can. There are homemade training dummies and plenty of people who use the space to work out and get ready for the next mission.

But there is also a cupboard full of every ball for almost every ball game there is, the two activities in one space may make for a little chaos.

Spar with people, play football. Create some mix of basketball and mixed martial arts. All training counts, right?

Jungle Heights

The latest mission has taken them to a vast jungle, where people live high in the trees. There has been an influx of tree dwelling creatures with sharp teeth, sharper claws and a love of destruction. To make things better the forest floor is not safe, damp and marshy many creatures lurk there ready to bite at ankles and it is home to a root, the sap of which burns.

Team One

Treetop fighting is an acquired skill and one the voidtreckers are having to learn quickly. Swing on vine ropes and tangle with monsters. Quick movement and quicker thinking is needed to take down the creatures in terrain they are naturals at traversing.

Team Two

People here live on platforms in the trees, with bridges and walkways connecting them. Fend off the creatures and chase them away from peoples homes. At least there is slightly solider ground beneath their feet, but they must be careful not to fall to the jungle floor beneath.

Team Three

Many of the people here are not fighters and they need help to get somewhere safer. It's a tough journey through the forest, especially when they leave the bridges and platforms of the village behind. Children may need carried and climbing from one tree to another is difficult even with sturdy branches to walk along.

They must be careful to stay in the trees, avoid getting too close to the forest floor but do not get too high, lest they attract the creatures.

Blaine hummed in agreement to the first part, but the second got a nasty glower. "It's not just me," he replied. "You're the weird one here. Every person with powers I've ever met before you, I've been able to figure out their weakness. There was a guy I fought with perfect aim, but he'd go completely blind for thirty seconds after taking a shot. Or that idiot Old MacDonald -- he had to store up energy before he could use his power, that's why he did that stupid running around the block thing. Every power has a price."

"Yeesh, okay." So he was the weird one. It wasn't his fault, he couldn't do anything about this; he'd been born this way. "Even if there is a price, it's not like I'd just stop. People need help, and I...I can do something about it." And that was the really important part to him.

Sighing heavily, Blaine finally landed on a platform. "I know, but if you know what the cost is, sometimes you can do something to mitigate it. I can wear joint braces when I fly, for example." When he had them. He did not have any on the train, and it was something he needed to fix as soon as he could.

That was a good point, and one that hadn't even crossed Nico's mind. Whoops.

Reluctantly letting go, he took a small step back. "Is it that bad?" he asked. He hadn't considered the toll Blaine's powers could have on his body, but he was only just now hearing about these things, since they hadn't really gotten a chance to talk before.

Blaine shrugged -- carefully. "Only if I use it too much, so today? Yeah, it's gonna be bad," he turned his gaze to the skies around them, watching the battles. "The good news is, I'm used to it by now. I can use my strength to keep things from going out of place, but I might be a bit of an asshole for a while."

Nodding, Nico hesitated for a moment before reaching out to snag Blaine's hand, squeezing gently. "I want you to take care of yourself and stay safe," he said quietly. "Because if I lose you..." he stopped, shaking his head. He couldn't imagine losing Blaine, especially not after he'd already thought he'd lost him.

That got a lazy smile and a chuckle. "What, and leave you to take care of my city? Not a chance," but it sure did make his heart flutter when Nico talked to him like that. He leaned in, stealing a quick kiss before pulling his hand away and flying off, maybe a little more recklessly than he should've, if the way he got smacked in the face with some leaves a few seconds later was anything to go by.
