Test Drive Meme 012
1. Post with your character. I’ve written out some prompts but feel free to make up your own, you have a whole train to play with!
2. Assume they have been around long enough for threads to jump right into the action!
3. Have much fun!
Happy testing!
Film Night
The newest carriage on the Voidtrecker Express is the long awaited cinema! It hosts many films and TV series. Perfect if passengers wish to waste an afternoon without worrying about being stolen from their worlds and hurtling through the void between worlds.
Dashing adventures, chair gripping horrors or adorable adventures of the Merry Little Voidtrain. There is something for everyone, though with only one screen arguments may be inevitable.
Fight Club
The gym carriage is definitely created more for ball games than sparring but that hasn't stopped the passengers adapting as best they can. There are homemade training dummies and plenty of people who use the space to work out and get ready for the next mission.
But there is also a cupboard full of every ball for almost every ball game there is, the two activities in one space may make for a little chaos.
Spar with people, play football. Create some mix of basketball and mixed martial arts. All training counts, right?
Jungle Heights
The latest mission has taken them to a vast jungle, where people live high in the trees. There has been an influx of tree dwelling creatures with sharp teeth, sharper claws and a love of destruction. To make things better the forest floor is not safe, damp and marshy many creatures lurk there ready to bite at ankles and it is home to a root, the sap of which burns.
Team One
Treetop fighting is an acquired skill and one the voidtreckers are having to learn quickly. Swing on vine ropes and tangle with monsters. Quick movement and quicker thinking is needed to take down the creatures in terrain they are naturals at traversing.
Team Two
People here live on platforms in the trees, with bridges and walkways connecting them. Fend off the creatures and chase them away from peoples homes. At least there is slightly solider ground beneath their feet, but they must be careful not to fall to the jungle floor beneath.
Team Three
Many of the people here are not fighters and they need help to get somewhere safer. It's a tough journey through the forest, especially when they leave the bridges and platforms of the village behind. Children may need carried and climbing from one tree to another is difficult even with sturdy branches to walk along.
They must be careful to stay in the trees, avoid getting too close to the forest floor but do not get too high, lest they attract the creatures.
The Rookie/Avatar - Sonic the Hedgehog
A short, by human standards, orange cat fellow (or lass?) can be found in the newest train car. Only they have one problem, and that is with the films people keep picking and sadly the cat isn't what one would call very... Loud.
So they approach the person picking the next film to watch and in a nervous voice stutters; "Um, c-could we watch something not so scary this time?"
B- Fight Club
Fighting wasn't really Rookie's strong point, but the gym struck them as a good place to start with learning something that isn't 'point wispon at an enemy and shoot'.
Of course, those plans go out of the door when they find the variety of balls. Turning to someone nearby, most likely bothering someone doing something else that isn't a weird game of ball, they grin and ask;
"Do you want to play ball or um, something?"
C- Jungle Heights Team Two
Oh god, why did they even volunteer for this? They could have been helping with the evacuation of non-fighters but no. They have their Wispon so why not help with the fighting?
Of course, they're doing their best but the recoil of their weapon is making things a bit harder for them to keep their footing and well. Eventually, they're going to almost slip off the edge of the platform they're on, hopefully their flailing will get grabbed by someone so they don't go splat.
A
Sure, sure! How about the two of us pick something together?
[She turns towards the stacks of movies.]
Oooo, they have something called "Robocop"! I bet that's about a robot who's also a cop!
no subject
[They have different ideas of scary, and they're a little more relaxed because Tangle is like.
Not a big scary human.]
What about something animated? [That's usually not scary, right?]
no subject
[She holds up a copy of "Merry Little Voidtrain".]
How about this?
no subject
[It doesn't look bad at first glance, but what they don't know. Especially if they start at one of the later seasons.]
It can't be that bad, cause it's for kids right?
no subject
[Tangle has no idea.]
no subject
[They're old enough to find that idea just a bit rude, or something. ANYWAY.
They're going to take the tap from Tangle and go to put it in the device so it can play. Now are they lucky enough to have grabbed a season one tape, or is it the dreaded Sentai season?]
no subject
I like cartoons with songs in them...
[She's just going to sit down and wait for the show to start... unaware of what season she grabbed and handed over.]
no subject
Even though they would rather watch a kid's cartoon than something akin to Robocop.]
Well, it might have songs? [They're going to go and sit with Tangle and get ready for the show... And oh no, it's the Sentai season.]
no subject
[Tangle leans forward with her hands on her knees, intrigued.]
Didn't really expect it to be like this.
no subject
It's um... Certainly not scary?
no subject
[What.]
no subject
[So far the Rookie is just not getting it, maybe you need to watch everything leading up to this season for it to make sense?
Or maybe they just don't like sentai.]

Once upon a time, Whisper acted totally alone out of fear of connecting to people and losing them again. Even so, she still protected those who needed it - became a Guardian Angel of the Resistance. This one... the little rookie who managed to lead the way to saving Sonic, fought alongside him... Whisper helped them out once. Got a team of robots off their back before they realized it.
Now she was rescuing them again, this time using her own variable Wispon's hover mode to snatch them on a quick pass through the air, carrying them to a gentler landing.
no subject
Anyway, the use of a Wispon skill certainly catches their attention, as it helps them land on a lower platform instead of hitting the ground and they can't help but look around trying to find whoever did it. Because it's not like there are a ton of Wisp havers around.
"Th-thanks!" they shout, before doing their best to get back into the action. Which involves having to find a way back up to where most of the action is.
no subject
Whisper's not the sort to sit around and soak up praise, even now that she's actually around people regularly, but she does need to pause to pick out the best way to get back up. Not a great vantage point down here.
"...any time," she whispers back.
no subject
"Oh c-come on!" they cry, readying their weapon to shoot at them before they get too close. And fortunately, or unfortunately, they have it set to Fire so best to try and not burn anything important while defending themselves.
no subject
Whisper just had to shoot all of them. A quick swap to laser mode, and she was perfectly happy to start firing away at them. "...careful with fire." That could end up being a bigger problem than the creatures.
no subject
And that's before they fire off another shot to try and get it to go away.
no subject
And he's using that mode up so close too... Whisper swaps out to blue, smacking it away from the side with hammer mode. "...mmhm."
