Picture the scene. There's 116 people (I think) crammed into 19 carriages (technically 18, since they can't get into the engine). This has been a home away from home for people for up to five months. That's gonna have had some effects on the environment. What are they gonna do, confront their own character flaws and grow closer as a group for it?

Nahhhhh.

So! I'm gonna put up toplevels in sequence for every carriage, and just comment with little changes your characters have made to it that might not have made it into the settings (but maybe should, who knows?). Even if it's something minor or transient, like a tendency to leave cold cups of coffee on the tables of the standard coach, or a little smiley face they drew on the wall in the kitchen.

ENGINE

Completely sealed. Whoever is driving this thing, they are never seen. On the wall where it joins the store room there is a painted sign "Do not attack this wall". It has an attempt of an angry face painted next to it, but it mostly just looks cute.

STORES

A double decker coach with stairs at both ends. The bottom level is a windowless store room. It holds a huge chest freezer and industrial sized fridge, the fridge has a couple of pictures glued to it with makeshift putty.

Oh no! Someone has drawn a GIANT BUTT on one of the fridges in big, bold black crayon. It would almost be a picture of childish innocence if it wasn't for the giant size of it...and the fart cloud emitting from it. Wow, how rude.

There are crates and shelves filled with supplies. Fresh food restocks every two weeks at stations. Shelves have barriers to stop stock from falling.

Upstairs has windows! There are two large washing machines; one at each end. Between them there are washing lines, baskets of pegs and fans to help dry everything.

Roland has been leaving an audit of the number of supplies and ingredients left, in a timely sync with the general restock every two weeks. This is written neatly on paper, like a chart, for all to see. He first did this when he gave Spark some fish without asking for permission that one time, and just thought to keep doing it for the sake of whoever is in charge of cooking for that month! YEY PAPERWORK NOBODY ASKED FOR

KITCHEN

A double decker carriage with stairs on each end. Both floors have an aisle that run through the middle of it.

The bottom floor has a long bank of industrial ovens running along one side of the aisle, the other side has a long metal work surface. Underneath the work top are cupboards that hold pans and oven trays. There are cooking implements hung up from racking on the back wall.

Upstairs follows a similar arrangement. Two work banks with an aisle in the middle. One side are ten large sinks with drying racking above them. The other is another work surface, this has smaller kitchen appliances (toasters, kettles, makeshift milk frother etc). There are cupboards underneath for crockery.

A dumb waiter connects both floors. Neither floor has windows. There is an ICP on both floors that show the recipes for the food of the month.

Samata has been learning to cook with low key enthusiasm, as it’s not something she learned growing up. She’s making progress steadily.

She’s not quite so good about cleaning up after herself, and has left piles of dirty cookware and utensils lying around on more than one occasion.

Every single time Red team is on kitchen duty all the spices end being sorted into categories, alphabetically inside each category. Containers, oven trays, cups, and cutlery are organized according to size.

A series of five cutesy animal-themed aprons are tucked messily into one cupboard or hung on the implement racks. They're all mildly flammable.

Any time the Purple team is assigned cleaning the kitchen, Tidus and Roland will be seen hogging the dishwashing station and turning it into their (un)official water cooler. Do they actually get the chore done? YES. But it will be slow, unnecessarily competitive, and full of cheeky remarks on the side.

DINING CARRIAGE

Another double decker carriage. Both floors are identical in design, this carriage has windows. Both floors have one huge wooden table stretching from end to end with wooden benches running along each side. There is a cupboard at each end of the carriage with cutlery, glasses and mugs (if people put them back after washing!) There is also a tea and coffee machine on each floor.

QUIET COACH

This carriage is a single carriage and also has a corridor running down the left hand side. On the right there are five booths with glass doors. The booths have two comfy benches facing each other. Each bench holds three people easily, or more in a squeeze! The booths lock from the inside and are completely sound-proofed. There is no ICP screen in this carriage and the only announcements to come through the speakers are those from the train driver.

One of the booths in the quiet coach is full of tools and other interesting looking things and has a sign saying Keep Out. The glass has been painted over for added privacy.

Just putting it here as a general note - Nita can soundproof cabins on the train, and she's been practicing on the rooms in here! As well as other places, upon request.

Wizardry isn't entirely useless in the void, it seems. =P

STANDARD

This carriage has an aisle down the centre and there are rows of three seats on the left and two on the right. There are two table seats on each side. There is overhead storage running along each side.

The first four rows of seats seem to be missing and there is a single set of book shelves which contain the library. There is also a printer set up for those with devices that they can print from.

Nita has taped up a slightly-more-thorough-than-this list of what's in the Train Library, also incorporating other books discovered by searching the shop.

Books ordered have been crossed off the list, as it's more of a 'to-be-ordered' list than just a catalog of what's there. There's a note saying people are free to add suggestions for things other people can buy!

GYM

Again this carriage is single coach with a corridor running down the left side and a door on the wall to the right. Inside there is a gymnasium, narrower and longer than is perhaps practical. On each end there is a basket-ball hoop and goalposts that can be moved around. In the back wall there is a cupboard that opens with a press of a button. It is full of balls. Basket-balls, footballs, rugby balls, tennis balls, softballs, baseballs, volleyballs, cricket balls, squash balls, american footballs. If it is a sport ball it is in this cupboard. There are things to go with them: rackets, sticks etc, a net which when you investigate can be hooked to the side walls at different heights to make a tennis net or a volleyball net or a net for another ball game! There is even a ping pong table at the back of the cupboard with bats!

The ICP in this carriage has instructions for a whole range of ball games! You might just have to... adapt to the long narrow space a bit...

There are also a couple of makeshift training dummies for general use.

MEDICAL

This carriage is a single carriage and has a corridor running down the left hand side. On the right there are three compartments.

One compartment has a door with a window. Inside is an examination room. A simple bed, a chair, scales, simple medical equipment such as a blood pressure monitor and stethoscope. Inside a cupboard there is a medical kit more advanced than those in the corridors of the train. There are also basic medications- painkillers and anti-histamines. There are also a couple of epinephrine autoinjectors (epipens but not branded as such, obviously). The ICP in this compartment has information about a range of illnesses and their treatments.

The second compartment has a glass window and door, though there is a curtain to pull across for privacy. This is a recovery room, it has a medical bed and an accessible toilet/shower. On the ICP in this room it is possible to register a passenger as recovering here, if so they will not return to their own bed each morning but remain in this one. However that passengers ticket will not allow them out of the recovery bay until they are ‘discharged’ and only one passenger can be registered there at any one time.

The third is a surgical bay. Though the equipment is basic it is enough that wounds can be sewn and minor procedures undertaken. The ICP in this room has instructions for more complicated medical procedures but also carries warnings that advanced medical training is advised and surgery should only be carried out by senior medics.

GAMES

Coach E is a double carriage with stairs going up on either side.

As you enter the lower floor you will see there are no seats in this carriage. There are two tables, low enough that people can sit on the floor around them and large enough to fit about eight people around. There are cushions scattered around and even a few beanbags to sit on. There are wooden chests around the walls as well as a couple of shelving units. The chests and the shelves are full of games. All the board-games and card games you can think of from chess to hungry hippos.

There are silly games and serious tactical games. (As a note any game based on a canon that might exist on the train won’t be here but a similar-but-different game can be. Likewise any game with place names will be similar in style and play but the names will not be any that any passenger will recognise.) There are a disproportional amount of train-themed board games, obviously. There is a whole suitcase of Duel Monster cards, alongside a handwritten note explaining the rules, how to build a deck and to see Yugi or Kaiba for help.

Upstairs there are no seats and the carriage is split into two halves. One half has some large games, twister, giant snakes and ladders, lawn jenga, massive connect four and more large silly games that need a bit of extra space. The ICP in this carriage has the rules for all the games.

The second half is separated by a rope barrier. This area has four virtual reality headsets, and a variety of controllers. There is an ICP where they can be set up to play one of four games.

GARDEN

The most striking thing abut carriage F is that the walls and ceiling are made of a transparent material. The ceiling is a dome shape, a single metal beam running down the centre from one end to another.

The carriage itself is a rock garden. There are no flowers or living plants but instead statues, rockeries and mosaics. In the centre of the carriage there is a pond with a simple stone fountain in the middle of it. There are four streams breaking off and flowing to each corner of the carriage.

Stony paths wind around the carriage with small bridges crossing the streams. There are stone benches along the paths and around the pond.

The light of the void reflects off the water and gives this place an an odd look. But despite that it is a peaceful environment.

A pair of minions stand at either entrance to this car, cheerfully welcoming everyone to the domain of the Overlord.

Zetta and his minions spend almost all of their time here; the minions walk in place like the video game characters they are, while the Prinnies perform various incompetencies. A beat-to-hell pickup truck sits inconveniently in the way of everything, occasionally in pieces as the minions work on it. Zetta has piled a bunch of rocks into what he claims is a throne, for lack of any better option. Every once in a while, he attempts to man a tool booth and charge people for the privilege of walking through; somehow this never goes as intended.

It honestly isn't that peaceful an environment.

Like the garden carriage the walls and ceiling are made of a transparent material. The ceiling is a dome shape, a single metal beam runs from one end to another, mounted on this beam are large bright lights.

The aisle of grass runs down the middle, from one door to the next. Stone paths branch off around raised beds of soil. Nothing is growing yet but there are crates in which passengers can find a whole host of seeds and bulbs for various flowers.

There are roses growing up and along the metal beam, in full bloom.

The ICP in this carriage has a very basic 'how to' guide or gardening as well as some handy tips.

CINEMA

This carriage is as tall as a double carriage, but has only the one floor. Instead it features sloped seating. To enter the carriage from the sleeper carriage side you must first go upstairs. You enter at the top of the carriage, in the centre aisle with paired seating sloping downwards on either side. On the opposite wall there is a large screen and there is a door to the left of the screen once you get to ground level, to allow you into the next carriage.

On the right of the screen there is an ICP and in this carriage it has a catalogue of films and TV series. There are hundreds to chose from. For more information go here!

THE SLEEPERS 1-7

A corridor runs down the left side of these carriages. There are five doors going off to the right. Each one has a black screen on it that has the names of the occupants-- the letters are usually white but if a character is on hiatus (where they have disappeared) or dropped (before they 'leave' at the next station) then the name is in gold.

To enter your room you swipe your ticket against the screen and the door opens. You can only access your own room (unless invited in by someone).

Each sleeper carriage holds five bedrooms and each room holds four passengers Two bottom bunks, two top. The top bunks can be folded up in the daytime and the bottom bunks can be half folded up leaving the window half as benches. There is a table by the window with an Information and Communication Point. It is on a stand that swivels so it can be used by either bench.

There are cubbies in the wall at the head of each bed, big enough for the belongings in your rucksacks. The ‘bench’ part of the bottom bunks lift up to have storage underneath, and indeed hold spare blankets when characters first arrive. Still it is a very tight squeeze.

At one end of each sleeper carriage there is a single toilet. At the other there is a larger bathroom with a shower.

The floor and wall of the hallway in Sleeper 3, in front of Cabin 3, is burnt by fire. Whoops.

DRESSING

The next carriage along seems odd. In the centre of the carriage there is a floor to ceiling mirrored cuboid, it is devoid of most of its glass on one side and the glass left on the other sides is shattered, holding on despite a web of cracks. Along the right there are no windows, instead two huge wardrobes with four drawers at the bottom. They are locked. Inbetween the wardrobes there are five small cubicles with curtains- reminiscent of a store dressing room.

The left hand side has windows but every other one is a mirror and has a vanity table in front of it with a padded stool. There are are a few other padded stools dotted around. Unlike the sensible hardwood floors of the rest of the train this carriage has a thick carpet and smells strongly of jasmine. It is full of spider webs and spider silk hammocks, though there is a six foot high walk way left so people can access the carriage...

I keep meaning to add this anyway.

In one of the corners opposite the Sleeper side, there are a growing number of shiny objects woven into and hanging from the spider web there. Upon closer inspection the shiny objects appear to mostly be fancy pieces of jewelry and ornaments--the styles differ and really clever people might realize each are from a different world the train has traveled to. There is also a painting of a desert sunset.

There is also a rounded bird cage hanging from the spider web near that corner. It usually houses a black and white magpie within it unless Garrett (or someone else) has taken her out for a bit.

LUGGAGE

The very rear carriage is filled with luggage. Suitcases, rucksacks and trunks. All are empty unless characters put things in them. Characters appear here after they die or return from hiatus. It smells quite strongly of cigarette smoke.

Jessie is a very tidy smoker, she has a little cup to keep the butts in. But a spare pack can be spotted on a bench now and then.

Each of the cars now has a Wayfaring sign in it. It is in the common tongue, but in a very nice Elvish handwriting.
