Congratulations! You’re now on the Void Train and no, that’s not a band name. This is, for better or worse, a new world for all of us and we’re stuck here. In order to detect patterns in these abductions, I’m conducting a survey. Please answer everything to the best of your ability. If you have any questions about the form please consult whoever is standing next to you other than me, because you should be intelligent enough to answer these very straight forward questions.

[ Her cheeks color slightly and she turns away to hide her blushing. Why is everyone so concerned about that. ]

Aoko's just always done it-lots of girls where she's from do.

[He'll have to ask Conan if that's a practice he's familiar with. Speaking of..]

How long have you known Conan?

Um.. well.. Aoko's-[ Ahem. ] I didn't know him until after coming here. He's pretty famous though-where Ao-um-I'm from. He's known for taking on a famous thief back home-My dad's actually in charge of the Kaitou Kid Task Force. He's been chasing Kid for the past twenty years.

[He feels bad as she fumbles around with her words.]

Sweetheart, it's okay to talk as you were. I just didn't know your culture.

[Pause.]

[Shit, Kaito's best friend is.. well that was just plain hysterical.]

Are you sure? Because I can try- [ She cuts herself off though as he asks about Kid and her whole mood seems to change, eyes flattening in annoyance. ]

Of course he would be, Aoko can never escape that stupid thief! [ She huffs in annoyance. But wait a minute... if he was here then did that mean his real name is around somewhere? It'd have to be someone from her world and it's obviously not Conan... ]

No, I don't believe so. I just recognized the name of the notorious thief.

I've been told some tales by your friends and was surprised to see him mentioned here.

[ She squints at him a moment, as if maybe she doesn't believe him but it doesn't last long and she's sighing in defeat. ]

Kaito probably tried to tell you how cool he is, but Aoko knows Kaito just says that because he's also a lame magician.

[ ... ]

[ Well, okay. Kaito's not lame. However, he can't ever know she thinks that. He'll never let it go and she will actually die. ]

Why don't you- er- Aoko.. Am I supposed to also talk to you like you're in third person or is it just you who talks in third person? I need the rules for this thing. Like what happens if we actually get another person named Aoko. Obviously we'd name you 'Aoko #1' but that could get confusing if someone doesn't realize you're #1.

You can just talk you normally do. It's just a thing girls do where Aoko's from. [ She explains calmly. ]

Um... well Aoko's never run into that, actually. But her name is written as 'blue child' maybe the other Aoko would write it differently?

He flashes her a smile for the explanation.]

Is that because you have blue eyes or were you just really cold when your parents named you?

You can if you'd like, but Kaito should know that already-we've been best friends since we were six. [ A pause. ] ...Even if he did almost forget Aoko's birthday this year.
