Luggage Handling

The last carriage of the train is full of luggage. It’s all empty but there sure is a lot of it. Suitcases, old fashioned travelling trunks, rucksacks. And they are scattered everywhere, a safety concern to be sure.

Or perhaps the most fun place on the train, if you are thinking about it right. These cases could be anything, a fort, a bunker. How many can you stack up until they are too high to reach or they tumble down on top of you?

Let out your inner child and relieve some of the boredom of being stuck on a train by creating the luggage castle of your dreams, or step in before disaster strikes and attempt to bring some organisation to this chaos.

Scavenger Hunt

You’ve found yourself on a world that seems to be one huge scrap yard. At least all the parts you can see are and you aren’t the only ones there. A small fighter craft has crash landed here and the pilot needs help fixing their craft to get out of here!

Team One The parts needed must be around here somewhere! This place has all sorts and so it’s just a matter of trying to sort through all the junk to find what you are looking for.

Team Two Some parts from the actual ship are salvageable but it’s going to take a team to get this thing sky worthy again. Fix what can be fixed and get the craft ready for the spare parts that will hopefully be found.

Team Three This planet is not without its nuisances. Most prominent are some strange cyborg rats that have a taste for wiring. Fend them off before they get into the craft and render all the hard work undone.

A picnic with a view

Heroes deserve rewards every now and again and after a few days of protecting a settlement from strange shape shifting alien blobs there is a moment to relax before boarding the train once more.

What a place to relax in. High up on a cliff overlooking a vast plain of crystal stalagmites. The light of two suns reflects of them creating a dazzling prism mirror effect of colour, it’s almost like hovering above a sea of rainbows.

A picnic has been provided by some grateful villagers, the food is strange but delicious and a perfect way to unwind after a stressful few days.

Luggage Handling

[After saving the world, becoming King of Eblan, taking on full responsibility for his people, and overseeing the rebuilding of a badly-damaged nation, Edge has matured a little from the hotheaded, fiery prince who recklessly leaped into battle.]

[Like, two points on a scale of one to a hundred.]

[Which is why a visitor to the luggage car finds his head and shaking fist poking out from behind a wall of suitcases.]

The fortress-keep-in-absentia of Eblan will never fall to the likes of you!

Scavenger Hunt

[One might suspect that putting Edge onto the team most concerned with repairs, instead of seeking out lost objects or battling vicious creatures, will consign the entire venture to inevitable failure.]

[Surprisingly, this isn't true.]

[Kneeling under the fighter, Edge has his hands deep in its mechanical guts, poking and prodding and seeming to feel his way through rather than looking. His head tips left, then right, then he yanks one hand free.] I thought so! Loose hose in there! Hand me a wrench!

[His fingers flick, beckoning the tool on. Send it over!]

[Kotaro has no context for this game, having just wandered into the luggage compartment but he is ready! It looks so much fun! There is a fortress and clearly behind it lives a wicked ruler who needs to be brought down by none other than a vampire of justice!

He grabs some trunks of his own, seemingly finding no difficulty whatsoever in lifting trunks larger than he is and compiling them into... something. It definitely is something.]

Your tyranny will not go unanswered! Your fortress shall fall!

Tyranny?!

[Edge nudges a suitcase aside, the better to stick his head out of his fort wall.]

I'm a beloved and honored ruler! My people welcome my reign!

That's just what a tyrant would say! [He points a dramatic finger at him as he stands on top of his luggage fort.]

But fear not for I will bring peace to everyone in this land!

What? Hey! [Edge takes offense at that! He grabs a nearby suitcase and lobs it at the kid's wall.]

Woooah! [The wall is not very structurally sound. Kotaro doesn't know much about wall building honestly and the suitcase projectile knocks out a stabilising trunk sending the whole thing crumbling to the ground!

There's silence for a moment, just a jumble of cases on top of each other and then one moves! A rucksack stands up!]

You haven't defeated me yet! [Except it's very muffled, from inside the bag.]

Okay, wow, you need some serious lessons in architecture.

[Edge continues to peer out of his own fortress with an expression that is difficult to read thanks to his mask. (It's just baffled dismay, really.) How does one shot take out the whole thing like that?]

Also I'm to your left, if you want to menace me... just turn a little.

[Hey! It's not his fault he never learned how to build forts! How could he have known it would fall so easily?

At the menacing advice he turned, to the right a little and shook his finger at an unsuspecting duffel bag.] You will never defeat me!

Scavenger Hunt

[Jou Shan, at least, is a perfectly good helper to have in a situation like this. She glances up at where Edge is looking, squinting just a bit--and then hands over a wrench that he shouldn't have to switch out. It should be a proper spanner!]

Is it loose, or will you need tape or sealant as well? Or only time will tell?

[Who would have thought the cuddly panda Pandaren was also a seasoned mechanic?]

[They can be two very unusual mechanics together then!]

Looks just loose. Probably came off when whatever happened. [A clatter of metal on metal signifies him tightening the hose back on, twisting the nut that sticks it to the socket it should come from.] Of course we're gonna need more coolant now.
